I did the vaccination for 4 years and my allergy is more bearable now. If I am in a cat environment I take my allergy pill and I am OK.. maybe you should change your doctor and take second opinion??

itching ears(if there are NO mites) are caused by allergies...and allergies are caused mainly by grains in the food, change to a GRAIN FREE CANNED food. Sounds to me that there is possibly a cat in the home of the babies or at least one of them. Your cat sounds like it is marking his territory. If your cat smells other cats on the infants it can feel threatened. The cat could also be jealous of the babies. The babies are now getting all the attention and your cat no longer is getting as much attention as before. such as maybe being shooed away as to not accidentally scratch the baby. Your cat has feelings remember that.

Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.

hi this is so very common anymore....and almost ALL the time is due to food allergies, mainly grains in their food.(cheap additives). is your kitty fed dry food? these are the worst for allergies. the best possible advice I can give you is to change to a CANNED food with NO grains...kitty's don't like this very much b/c of course like us they love carbs...so its like going from french fries to broccoli, so you can't do it over night.

My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays,she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! so animals and me go together My dad grew up with a cat allergy he couldnt be in a house where cats lived...he would get itchy, cough and sneeze but he grew out of it, because we now have four and they don't bother him...the last two years or so whenever i am near the cats i get the same symptoms my eyes water, cough, stuffy nose its like a sudden cold. in july of 08 i woke up one morning, my right ear starting feeling as if it was tightening all of a sudden, then i started getting dizzy and feeling sick to my stomach, it was the starting of vertigo, which i had never had or heard of before...my husband took me immediately to the doctor, he checked me and said i am swollen in nose and glands, he gave me meclizine and told me to take it every 8 hours....that was all!..

I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.
