Avatar f tn Day and night he is doing mau mau.Is there any stomach pain to him ?Is there any home remedy for my cat?
Avatar f tn One of them is 12 years old and cool as a cucumber and the other is 5 and the most neurotic, high strung cat I have ever met. He is so tightly wound, that he has been diagnosed with IBS. (there may or may not be a connection there, but i think there is). Anyway, everything is under control and all is well. My problem is that there will be a 2 week span in the near future where the cats will be home alone.
Avatar m tn over grooming is usually due to allergies, can be contact allergies..and the back legs are mostly incontact with -litter or carpets. change the brand of litter you are using and be sure its NON scented. If you use cleaners on the floors....stop and use natural products for cleaning such as vinegar. try a different laundry soap(since you say he spends alot of time on the bed)...and NO dryer sheets....try the dryer balls..less chemicals.

Avatar f tn My cat is an inside cat, but has fleas. Started her on Advantage today. How do I get rid of the fleas in my home. Does the Borax and salt natural remedy work well? I really didn't want to use pesticides in my home. I have been vacuuming like a nut. Help???

Avatar f tn Allergies have a genetic basis but not always to the same allergen. Two parents with allergies (50% chance of developing allergies), one parent 30%. It is possible that it is an allergy, however make sure the cat wasn't bathed with anything, I reacted with hives once to the shampoo I used on a puppy at work.
Avatar f tn What has been your best at home remedy for allergies? We have done local honey and a more natural type called Hylands but I would like to hear other options. My son has severe allergies to pretty much every tree, grass, weed etc which causes his asthma t flair up. He can't use singular, claritin, zyrtec, etc bc the cause his behavior to change in negative way. We have had everything pretty well under control but would like more ideas.
Avatar n tn Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.
Avatar n tn My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays, she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.
Avatar m tn I've developed severe allergies since moving in with my girlfriend who has a cat and a dog. So severe that I am constantly sick whenever home, find myself waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air (asthma - I have an inhaler), and hacking up a lung in the mornings. We've tried vacuuming more and bathing the animals but it being a small town home, living in close quarters, it does not seem to help. Now we are looking at me moving out and starting allergy shots.
1474611 tn?1416632958 My cat is so itchy. He's got little tiny bumps under his chin, behind both ears (right one is worse). He very rarely goes out. And when he does, he's not out for more than maybe 10 minutes. He's 2.5 years old, weighs about 15 pounds, and has short fur. His diet hasn't changed in the whole time I've had him. Flea stuff doesn't seem to help him either. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn There is NO home treatment for damaged and infected eyes that we can offer you over the internet. The kitten needs care by a vet, that's the only advice that I can offer. You must really find a way to get the cat to a vet-look at the very first 2 threads there's advice on what you can do to get the care that this baby deserves.
