We adopted a cat from the Humane Society about a month and a half ago. He is approx. one year old. Since we brought him home we have been battling with diarriah and vomiting. Hi, Our cat has diarrhea - it seems that she licks and licks herself and then it happens (the diarrhea) or it just happens .... Her anus is also red and swollen . Now we have taken her to the vet, he gave her a couple of injections and she was okay for the afternoon. Now unfortunately we were told to keep her in for a couple of days but our 3 year old daughter let her out :( The vet mentioned to us that he thinks that she has been mated with and that also could be why bottom is so red.

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.

Hi, my daughter brought home a 6yr old cat 8months ago w/ stomach and intestinal issues. She suffers with gas/diarrhea/ throwing up. My daughter has taken this cat 3 times to the vet-nothing! You need to get your cat's blood tested A.S.A.P!!! A blood test may cost around $100-150, but it's worth it because it will should give you/your vet an idea of what is causing the blood in it's stool. My cat has had blood in stool, diarrhea, vomitting every once a week or so, and he had a bald patch of fur on his back. I took him in for a blood test and it revealed that he has hyperparathyroidism, which could be cancerous.

My cat Mikku is a 3 year old male cat. I adopted him from a shelter. Initially he was weak and after vet consultation he put on weight. In the mean while he developed some boils on his neck area. Dr. advised me to apply Kiskin lotion. But eventually Mikku scratched the boils and it converted into scratch wounds. Its been 2 months now and guessing it as an infection Dr. gave a course of anti-biotic. During the course it was better but after the course again its come back to same situation.

They usually relax after a while, when their systems have fully adapted to the change, unless the food gives them food allergies (vomiting is part of food allergies), in which case you would have to change the diet. Good Luck!

The obvious solution is to take immunotherapy (allergy shots). However, when I contacted my allergist's secretary she said that they do no have one. I would like to rebut her claim, but in order to do so I need proof that this exists.
