Avatar f tn For ladies with Allergies what are you taking or doing. Claritin just doesn't seem to be doing the job. I am a stuffy, sneezey mess with watery eyes half the time. And I need to function so Benadryl is not an option unless I am able to sleep all day.

Avatar m tn Have you been tested for allergies? I'd recommend finding a Board-Certified Allergy Specialist in your area and have them perform a skin-test on you (they place a small amount of various substances on your skin, scratch or stick it very lightly, and then measure your reactions). If I were you, I would start taking an anti-histamine immediately, even without a diagnosis of allergies (since it's obvious you have them). In the past I have taken Zyrtec, Claritin, and Xyzal....
Avatar f tn I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin. I have been taking the Mucinex and Claritin for a week now and still can't get rid of the post nasal drip. I sleep with a humidifier on and do the "steam breathing" about 1-2 times a day. I am worse in the morning and evening, but I still have the post nasal drip. I live in a very hot, dry area.
Avatar f tn I've been coughing up mucus and have a runny / stuffy nose for the past two months almost . Nothing I do has helped . I've tried Tylenol cold medicine and Claritin . Idk what else to do. But it hasn't gotten better . I thought it was getting better a little bit , but then went back to the way it was . I've talked to my doctor about it and he said its nothing and to try Claritin.
1839630 tn?1346513783 I am 23 weeks tomorrow and my allergies are making me miserable. the list of drugs my dr gave me says it is ok to take benedryl and claritin but i feel like anything that has bad side effects on me will have similar ones on the baby. So benedryl makes me sleepy therefore it will make the baby drowsy... idk if there is any truth to this at all but its what I keep thinking. Is there any truth to this? She has been moving like normal today after i took it.
Avatar n tn I had taken a CAT scan of my head (to see nasal) and the doc said its sinusitis but he changed it as he said it was too little to be sinusitis and could be allergies (I got cat that changed his mind). He offered immunotherapy later on, should I take it?.
Avatar f tn Ladies please help!!! I've always had super bad allergies and the only thing I've found that works is DayQuil/NyQuil and obviously can't take that being 10 weeks pregnant. I seriously miss being able to breathe! Anyone know of a SAFE and effective allergy/sinus OTC medicine I can take???
10366239 tn?1409616907 I suffer from terrible allergies. Most days I try to avoid taking meds but days like today my eyes are watering, I can't breathe, my throat itches, and my gums are swollen. What kinds of allergy medicine do you use that might be safer than others? If I have to take it I want to make sure I take the safest kind.
