carvedilol side effects cough

Hello, My name is Anatoly Petrov and I have I had a heart attack on 09/21/09. After my bare metal stents were clogged and I almost got another heart attack, a DES was placed inside those two. Since then I have been having chest pains. I am currently on Plavix, Aspirin, Simvastatin, Lisinopril and Carvedilol/Coreg/. Stopped Lisinopril for a little bit and felt much better- unfortunately my blood pressure went a little up.

5 weeks ago I had a mild heart attack and received a stent in the one veinous graft (the 3 arterial grafts were perfectly clear). I have been placed on plavix and 6.25mg 2x/day of carvedilol - and the side effects of carvedilol is my concern. First is the feeling of lightheadedness, which was severe at first, but still remains.

Can anyone tell me if their are any side effects from taking Levothyroxine,i am on ...50 MICROGRAMS, per day,,,18mths ago i started with Excema,,i also have a cough now and then sometimes i wake up at night coughing ,,I am also taken 5MG Ramipril per day ............Could it be the Ramipril ?????

i stopped the medication after my doctor told me to stop it. it was just 25mg daily. i experiencing palptation, shortness of breath, diziness all day like i am drunk. i dont smoke or drink. are these side effects of the med? how to get rid of this? its killing me. please help me out..

As for the losartan and carvedilol, dizziness and fatigue are two common side effects of the medications. These side effects are often related to either low blood pressures or low heart rate but can often be relieved through adjustments in the dose and timing of the medications. I would check and keep note of your blood pressure and heart rate frequently (and not if you are having any of the symptoms) using a home blood pressure monitoring kit that you can get at your local pharmacy.

My cardio gave me some samples of 10 mg coreg to take once a day and a prescription to fill if the side effects from the metoprolol do not get any better. The side effects from the metoprolol have gotten a little better, though as I type this my heart rate is 52 bpm. Does any one have any comments on the pros and cons of carvedilol versus metoprolol? I'm not sure I want to switch if the side effects will be the same. Does anyone have experience with metoprolol?

The doctors all SAY I have asthma. I'm 63 years of age, and have never had asthma before so I don't understand how it presents. I've never had an asthma attack, I don't have shortness of breath. My main problem with it is that I have a lot of mucus in my lungs...A LOT, constantly, like 24/7. Usually, it looks like raw egg white. Sometimes, it has some yellow color to it. It does not MAKE me cough, but I feel so full of stuff that I can't help trying to get rid of it.

Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!

I am on 6.25 mg carvedilol twice a day. I am not physically restricted - I walk 1 mile or more day and do 10 minutes of other light exercises most days. My BP runs under 120/80 most of the time. I understand carvedilol helps prevent stiffening of the heart muscle and can help restore LV function to some degree. How specially, so it do this? What is the biochemical mechanism?

I guess you could say that the price was also a side effect, but...We are trying the carvedilol (generic for Coreg) to see if it offers me better coverage. It is a 2x per day dosing.

My wife (Sally) is on Dilatrend and Adacand. The ACE was producing a significant cough hence the change to Adacand (however the cough is now returning yet again. Do you have any thoughts on why the decrease in EF, is it normal and some prognosis thanks. Really appreciate the assistance - and what a wonderful idea this site is!

I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I also felt very anxious. I never experienced this before. Boy it was scary.

I need to know the long term effects of not exercising after a bypass? I did rehab and walked quite a bit afterwords. it's starting to get cold outside, I'm out of a job, and (related?) after upping my Carvedilol dose to 6.25mg twice a day (was 3.125mg) I haven't felt like doing much of anything. So far this has been almost a month.

any cuts or scratches on my feet or legs seem to become worse and more itchy and irritated as days go by-i have made every attempt to be careful while doing yard work-a nasty throaty cough seems to have developed.unknown if its related to the side effects--doing a search for each side effect related to doxil turns up numerous possibilities.and yes i know the alternative is far worse and even fatal -so what can one do but wait be grateful ? thank you and my best to everyone.
