Avatar n tn What you can try is strengthening your erector spinae muscles (lower back muscles) by including a few back extensions into your workout routine. You can strengthen your hip area with a brisk warm up cardio, jog/bike preferably (low impact) then a good 5-10min of slow stretching of the hamstring, quadriceps, hip ADductor and hip ABductor muscles (do not bounce the stretch!). Then concentrate on doing some light resistance training on those muscle groups.
Avatar f tn Heiligs14 what kind of cardio do you do. While cardio is an essential component to Any weight loss or fitness plan it's not the only component. Try this for 3-4 weeks and see if it helps. I think you'll be very pleased with your results. If you work out 6 days a week split that between intense cardio (heart rate between 70%-80% three days a week and 3 days of moderate intensity weight lifting.

Is this going to get me where I want to be, I need to loose 20 lbs, and I am 28 yrs old, I have the nutrition part of it down for the most part. I just need to know in what order and what type of cardio I shoud be doing?
11464625 tn?1422861172 After implementing a new workout routine or program, it’s common to be sore for the first few workouts, but the soreness shouldn’t linger more than a few days. Soreness is your body’s way of saying that it needs recovery before the next session. It’s not necessary to be sore after every workout to experience results. Consistently leaving your body in a sore wreck is a perfect way to eventually end up over-trained.

Avatar m tn I alternate my cardio workouts between the elliptical, the treadmill, and I use the bike and stairmaster seldomly. I am noticing great weight loss with this routine. I also do a pretty decent ab workout (which is tough for a fat guy) one or two days a week. I have coupled this routine with an effective diet as well. High protein, low carbs, lots of vegetables, some fruit, multivitamin, EFA's, and Glucosamine so that my joints stay healthy.

Avatar f tn abs, legs, biceps, chest, or back). So every day I'm doing machines for one area plus the cardio (jogging or eliptical). Like I said I've been disciplined and going every day, but I'm getting discouraged because I don't see my body changing.. I realize its only been a month but I am at it every single day, shouldn't I be seeing some results? My diet is healthy too, I have low blood sugar so I eat tons of protein.
Avatar m tn i had a single graft heart bypass ten years ago can i take up the insanity workout i am 49 yrs old
1896537 tn?1381900009 s this last week so I think I am going to do my exercises in spurts like DV says. 15 minutes of cardio followed by 30 minutes of strength training then 15 minutes of cardio again then 30 minutes of strength moves. This would allow my body the full benefit of a solid work out without getting my temperature up too high. Once I have built up some endurance and strength, I'll work on a full class. I am not strong enough right now I don't think.
Avatar f tn I still do a 45 minute cardio workout and a ton of leg and butt exercises..it is whatever is comfortable for you..
Avatar f tn When you work out, you should also slowly ease into higher intensity workouts by warming up properly and slowing down at the end of your workout with a proper cool-down routine. A 2000 article published in the Journal of Exercise Physiology by Greg Bradley-Popovich, M.S., and M. Doug McGuff, M.D., explains that improper tapering of strenuous exercise may cause migraines in some individuals.
10840278 tn?1424816083 While splitting your routine for morning cardio and evening weight training is best, schedules may not allow this type of regimen. Instead alternating a cardio workout one morning and then a weight-training session on another day in the evening will help you in achieving your fitness goals. Proper rest and recovery from training sessions, such as 48 hours between strength training sessions focused on the same muscle group, should be allowed to ensure progress and prevent injuries.
Avatar m tn I am thinking about trying to revamp my routine into a 4 day split with a day of cardio (as my off day). Maybe something like 1-arms, 2-legs, 3-chest/back, 4- shoulders- 5- run, then repeat. I do 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps, also doing a little abs everyday. Any suggestions/advice/constructive criticism would be much appreciated. I wanna be as muscular as possible but mainly tone/cut. I would like something I can continue for life. I eat pretty healthy/take protein powder 1-2 times a day already.
Avatar f tn Now I am wondering if I should do my evening workout eg. Cardio-12mins, exercise using elliptical machine-20mins or butt workouts-5mins-8mins. I admit I feel so lazy and just tired after work and I always ended in the kitchen for dinner around 5.45-6pm. And I will go to bed by 10pm as I have to wake up at 4.30-5am. I wish to hear anyone's advise regarding my workout routine! Thanks!
Avatar m tn It sounds like you are just "doing weights"... do you go through a warm up before starting to strain? Are you doing reps or are you doing power lifting? Whatever the case you need to be careful not to overextend your workout beyond you current physical condition...build up slowly.
Avatar f tn I really feel motivated to exercise and workout the muscles that haven't been used in probably 8 years. lol! Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone could recommend me any cardio workout websites or YouTube videos
