Tbd I do know that carbohydrates raise BG... ALL carbohydrates will raise your BG. brown rice is a carb and will raise BG, so is wheat, potato, sugar and most fruits.

But ultimately tough have to try different things and check your blood after every meal and see what causes biggest spikes. Like for me I just can't do potatoes.

Take away all carbohydrates and sugars until you see she has no energy for a week. The only carbohydrate she should eat is fiber. Nature's Own has a double fiber wheat bread and it doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup. Its the only brand on the shelf that doesn't.

It is better to eat less carbohydrates and eat complex, high fiber grains like whole wheat, brown rice. Of course, eating lots of vegetables and exercising will also help too.

In general avoid all food high in fat and cholesterol. Also avoid all food high in calories and include plenty of high fiber diet. Avoid all fried food, fatty red meat, whole milk dairy products and highly processed food. Include plenty of fresh fruits, high fiber vegetables, whole grains, lean meat and low fat dairy products.

Science has been saying that saturated fats(SF) can increase the risk of heart disease, though, lately that looks like it may not be as true as we all thought. However, for simplicity's sake, let's say it's still absolute that SF is bad for your heart. On the other hand monounsaturated(MUF) and polyunsaturated(PUF) fats are good for you and lower your LDL while raising your HDL.

Lipid Profile Cholesterol 4.7, Triglycerides 1.71 "HIGH", HDL 1.2 LDL 2.7 Total: 3.92 Should I be worried about high Triglycerides as the rest seem normal? Is there a proven method to reduce Triglcerides in diet terms?
