Avatar m tn resposibilities they strip away my role and ship it off to India or WA. I have never been trained (dispite asking for training) when changing roles and was never given a clear outline/structure of my new duties, I was always expected to work it out myself. I've been with this company for 8 years, promoted 4 times andwith the change of CFO came my constant change of roles. Termination of my employment is a done deal, I have 2 weeks max left at work.
Avatar f tn - [ ] fructose is one of the key carbohydrates involved in the regulation of the intestinal permeability and its overuse may cause harmful effects, such as tight junction protein dysfunction.
Avatar m tn Salivary agglutinin (SAG) is a high molecular mass glycoprotein (340 kDa) that plays important roles in innate immunity. SAG has been found to specifically inhibit HIV-1 infectivity and to bind to virus through the envelope protein gp120. Although SAG binds to gp120 of the virus, the exact nature of this binding has not been characterized.
Avatar m tn University of Michigan researchers have discovered the rules that dictate the three-dimensional shapes of RNA molecules, rules that are based not on complex chemical interactions but simply on geometry. The work, done by a team led by Hashim M. Al-Hashimi, is described in the Jan. 8, 2010, issue of the journal Science. "RNA is a very floppy molecule that often functions by binding to something else and then radically changing shape," said Al-Hashimi, who is the Robert L.
Avatar m tn Seeing two main companies (assembly and novira) working on variations of this but very limited information so far outside of the prolific research (focused more on cP dynamics, structures, and pleiotropic roles Vs specific cPAM solutions) from zlotnicks team at IU... To the extent cPAMs can be effectively delivered to hepatocytes in vivo wondering if they could have effects additive to nucs/infs with potentially improved safety profile given lack of human analogues for cP...???
Avatar m tn The liver is enlarged in size with slight irregular borders. The internal structure and attenuation are within normal limit. No focal abnormalities are noted. Vascular structures are normal. No abnormal enhancement is seen. Biliary Ducts: The intrahepatic and extrahepatic billary ducts are normal in their course, width and contents. Gall Bladder: The gall bladder is normal in size with smooth margins. No intraluminal hyperdensities are noted.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mammogram Aug 27th which that the small node I have had for years has grown. Two days later I had an ultrasound that shows a hypoechoic structure deep within the chest wall and has a hyperechoic notch to it with an appeappearance of a benign lymph node but does not correlate with the position of the mammogram. Given the findings of this ultrasound and enlargemnt of the density on the mammogram biopsy is recommended. My question is would you take it out completely?
Avatar m tn t know very much about the molecular structure. I find it a bit hard to understand, but I get pieces of it. This one seemed more concise then the the last one I sent you. - Dave http://www.natap.org/2001/jun/MoleBio.
Avatar m tn Has the general health of the heart been evaluated? I would suggest at least having an echo done to check on the structure of the heart. If it is fine then it mostly becomes a matter of managing the big triggers. Avoid caffeine, sugars and carbohydrates. Spicy meals. Heavy and large meals. Chocolate and anything else that may upset the stomach or cause acid reflux. Try to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Avatar n tn Some months ago, I started a specialized diet; it contains relatively few carbohydrates, and my persistent heartburn went away. I didn't think much of it until I discovered the writings of Dr.
Avatar f tn It is only when the heart is damaged from other causes which can lead to the pvcs getting caught in a reentry pattern that they become dangerous so odds are, at your young age they are nothing to worry about but it is good to get a good baseline on the structure of your heart. An echo would probably be in order. If that comes back fine then it is more a matter of watching out for our big triggers to help lessen the amount we are having.
Avatar f tn Muscle weighs more than fat. It takes the body a little bit of time to make the adjustment. Muscle requires protein, which it doesn't seem like you're getting enough of. Muscle feeds off of stored fat, but if you do not have the muscle structure in place, muscle cannot grow. In short, lay off the biscuits, replace with fruits and vegetables and keep walking. Everybodies metabolism is different, your's may be slower. Don't give up, it means balance in your diet, not amount.
Tbd This does not mean that all carbohydrates must be avoided but it is necessary to limit carbohydrate intake and to choose what are called complex carbohydrates in place of simple carbohydrates. The goal for a type 2 diabetic is to maintain their blood glucose within a safe range. Complex carbohydrates are broken down at a slower rate than simple carbohydrates meaning that the glucose is released into the bloodstream at a slower rate allowing more time for the uptake of glucose.
Avatar m tn It seems the endothelial cells and smooth muscle of the vessel lining play a wide variety of critical roles in the control of vascular function. It does make sense that collateral vessels will only develop when the blood flow, velocity, and excessive shear stress is encountered and the endothelium cells are stimulated or lack thereof. I never experienced angina, but I have had significant collateral vessel development.
Avatar f tn First, be sure of what a healthy weight is for your particular bone structure- for example, someone with larger bone circumference would not be expected to weigh the same as someone with small bones even if they are the same height. Secondly, in the morning, if you skip breakfast now, don't skip breakfast, because skipping breakfast actually causes your body to go into starvation mode, which means your metabolism slows down, which in the long run will not help you lose weight.
1266263 tn?1270153368 Hi, The best fuel for muscles is carbohydrates, either simple sugars such as naturally occurring sugars in fruits and juices or complex carbohydrates the starches in whole grain products, rice, cereal, oatmeal and other plant foods. These carbohydrates provide not only energy but also important vitamins and minerals. You store only carbohydrates not protein or fats in your muscles in the form of sugar called glycogen. During hard exercise, you burn this glycogen for energy.

Avatar n tn Within the left ovary is a complex cystic structure measuring 4.4 x 4.8 x 4.5 cm. Some sepatation is present with half of the cystic structure having either dense internal debris or a somewhat solid component. No color flow is appreciated in this abnormal half of the cystic structure. No other mass or lesion or free fluid is present wihtin the left adnexa. This is a nonspecific finding and both benign and malignat etiologies must be considered.
Avatar f tn i had a ct scan done the said in the left adnexa there is a structure with 2 cystic areas measuring 12 and 16 mm each and has enhancing perphery i have had a hysterectomy 4 yrs ago what does thids all mean it also states i have several diverticulae in sigmoid colon but no evidence of diverticlitis what does this mean please
Avatar n tn My doctor called and told me an irregular cystic structure was found on my left ovary along with a cyst. Could this be an ectopic pregnancy? I have had all the signs of being pregnant. This is frustrating because no one seems to be telling me anything.
