Avatar f tn Yes I have a glass of red wine occassionally and know others that have also drank red wine during pregnancy. I think in your first and second trimester it's one glass if red wine every week and once you get closer to the third trimester it was one glass a day. I was a little doubtful about it at first but after doing a lot of research I found that a glass of red wine is fine, it also has benefits for you and the baby bc red wine clears up toxins in the body as well.
Avatar f tn The other night my mother and grandmother told me it was ok to have a glass of red wine while pregnant!

8395982 tn?1399258729 s always gonna be someone who crucifies women for a glass of wine. There has been no proof at all that one glass of red wine will cause any harm to your child. Liquor and beer are a big no no. But some doctors even RECOMMEND a small glass of red wine. You'll be just fine, so will baby.
Avatar f tn Personally, I think one glass of wine a day is far too many during pregnancy. No alcohol especially in your first trimester. But every now and then, I think is fine. I just wouldn't feel comfortable having a glass daily.
Avatar f tn I was told a glass of red wine once or twice a week. It helps build red blood cells. I drink a glass occasionally and my baby is just fine..

Avatar f tn I honestly doubt that ONE glass of wine would have any effect but my personal opinion why? I mean is one glass of wine really of so much importance. I think refraining is best, but its a personal choice I guess.
9023883 tn?1402943375 t seem right you can drink that and not regular flavored wine. I thought red wine had quiet a bit of alcohol in it. (Just curious not old enough to drink anyway!
9525685 tn?1410800512 I am due in another 4 week's my husband just got a huge promotion and wanted to toast am i able to have a glass of wine so late in my pregnancy?
Avatar f tn It depends on who you ask.... In the US it is common practice for women to completely abstain from all alcohol consumption during pregnancy, however in other countries women are told a glass a week or a glass every now and then (after the first trimester) is perfectly fine. There are even some more progressive drs in the states giving similar advice now.
Avatar f tn they say that 1 glass of red wine a day is okay in the third trimester ... i didn't drink at all because i was paranoid about everything. personally i would just ask your ob for confirmation.
9685675 tn?1405834518 to me, a glass of wine once in a while is just Not worth the risk. even if some doctors or medical websites say it does no harm. I can always have a bottle of Jack after these remaining few months. It's really no big deal. the guilt and what-ifs would be so much worse if my baby were to have complications. at least I can rest reassured that I did the best I can. The rest is in God's hands.
Avatar f tn Yea I thought so my doctor tld me red wine & im 30weeks & 5days
Avatar f tn I don't think it matters it's still red wine/alcoholic I guess just go with whatever you perfer, I don't think taste would make a difference it is really only a different taste doesn't make any bottle different to the other unless of course the percentage is more or less depending on I'd say it's brand and price :)
Avatar f tn If you drink a glass of red wine then its healthy for your heart. One glass once in while will not harm you or the baby.

Avatar f tn I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow I had a small glass of red wine last night. In the last trimester a glass of red wine here and there won't hurt. So far I have had one three times, but never a whole glass. I think you will be ok!
