Avatar n tn The last time I drank (half a beer) my nose started running and my eyes got sort of itchy. I believe it was bud light or bud select. I used to be able to drink without any problems until I quit drinking for 3 months. I'm 22 now. This has been going on since July. I have eliminated pretty much everything except alcohol and hops. Any ideas? THANK YOU!!!

Avatar f tn I would practically kill for one of those clamato bud light beers...
Avatar f tn I have been drinking beer for a while now, and just recently have been having allergic reactions to most beers. I used to drink Budweiser, Bud light, all the other special Bud's, Michelob ultra, Mickeys, and just about every cheap beer that comes in 40 oz. Recently while drinking these beers, I would breakout in red spots on my chest, arms, and my face would turn red. I would also have difficulty breathing.
Avatar n tn I am not quite sure what your question is about concerning the alcohol. Are you asking which to drink first, or asking what the effects might be? The answer is that alcohol lowers the liver's ability to release emergency sugars that all people store in their livers in case they haven't eaten in a long time and glucose levels drop (which can happen to non-diabetics as well as to diabetics, but which can be life-threatening to the type 1 diabetic).
Avatar f tn I was in the beginning definitely!
Avatar f tn "Local GP not much help, anyone got any suggestions?" I would definitely fire the GP and find an Endocrinologist, a diabetes specialist, for complete testing. Low glucose [blood sugar] can be dangerous and life threatening. Too low a person will go into diabetic coma. Some recover, some don't. As far has his weight, beer can raise glucose levels as does simple carbohydrates. The calories in beer will make one fat, get a "beer belly".

Avatar m tn Hi, long time lurker -- first time poster. I'm a 40 year old white male. I've been drinking for roughly 20 years. Primarily beer, bud. Anyways I think that I've got "blood sludge" (is what I've read that it's called). The tops of my hands are fire red and shiny. (though they do not itch) This is the only part of my body that's visually impacted. I assume that it's due to the beer consumption.
Avatar n tn Feeling out of breath by not doing strenous exercise is not normal; if by drinking "8 bottles of bud" you mean beer, then this is not affecting your respiratory function. However smoking will.
Avatar f tn The trauma was due to being hit with a frozen 40oz bud ice beer bottle in the top rear left portion of my skull. They had to staple my head quickly to stop me from dying. I had really long hair that also was trapped in the wound with glass. Please help me with any info. I am miserable and embarrased. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I love new wild beers. Now even bud light puts a lump in my throat. Did they change the bins?? However its being processed maybe. I now only have mixed drinks. Orange, cranberry, and pinnapple juices only itches so its tolerable. I apologize if I sound like a novel and I wont cast blame to habbits my mom had. I just want to know if there is any remidy I can do, try, or go. Eating honey.. Yea metal in that too but it does help in allergie season for the pollen. Any advice would be nice.
Avatar m tn I am sure in time your symptoms will disappear bud..Maybe do some research about it and see if this is common in others who have just stopped...
649848 tn?1534633700 Generally, beer has more calories than wine, but the calorie difference in the two primarily comes from the leftover carbohydrates in beer, as the sugar content for most wines is fairly low. Low-calorie beers have an additional enzyme added during the brewing or fermentation process, and it breaks down all of the starch molecules into simple sugars so there are no remaining carbohydrates.

1034172 tn?1393042602 I currently drink about 8 beers (bud light) a day. It is my only small release from not being able to find a job, gaining 40 lbs. from not working and sitting so much, becoming depressed most days, agitated, pushed easily, i also have a history of anxiety - but that could be due to drinking beers. I do not drink hard alcohol at all. I need to find a prescription for now that will help me with aniety, depressiona and weight loss. Anybody can help? And I need to be able to drive.
Avatar f tn I seemed to be able to tolerate beer, and tried drinking one night but the next day was incredibly sick and hungover, more so than my other similarly built friends who consumed muchhh more than me. I had a few sips of a bud light lime-a-Rita and broke out in a red splotches all over my face, neck, and chest. My face felt very hot which is what prompted me to examine it while sipping the drink.
Avatar m tn Reaction has become severe over the years and now includes nearly all wines and beers (even bud light) and the reaction is more severe. I have no other food reactions that I know of. Reaction description: difficulty swallowing, breathing, shortness of breath, Benadryl clears it up completely and quickly. Tried a sip of wine during my honeymoon in Greece last month to test the reaction. It was local house wine, no reaction what-so-ever.
Avatar f tn I don't think it should be a problem if you have 1 once in a while,I'd be more concern about the sugar levels in the beer, even non alcohol beers have high levels of sugar, carefully check the labels for ingredient content....
Avatar f tn Intestinal gas results from the fermentation of undigested carbohydrates in the colon. Digestive enzyme supplements (vegetarian form recommended) and probiotics are recommended to help with digestion.
Avatar m tn Alcohol does have carbohydrates in it, but different types of beverages have different amounts of carbs. It has a lot to do with what is used to make the alcohol and how it is made. (ie: many beers are made from wheat, barley, corn, or rice...typically high in carbohydrates. Wine is often made from grapes or other fruits that are then fermented to produce alcohol) In short- alcohol does have carbohydrates, but the amount of carbs varies a good bit between various types of drinks.
Avatar f tn I am sooooo ready to meet and hold my princess! And I have been craving a bud light and jager bomb so bad to the last 8 months!!! Lol anyone else ready for an after baby beer??
