Avatar n tn For bodybuilding and exercise enhancement, a typical dosage schedule starts with a loading dose of 15 to 30 g daily (divided into 2 or 3 separate doses) for 3 to 4 days, followed by 2 to 5 g daily. Some authorities recommend skipping the loading dose Creatine's ability to enter muscle cells can be increased by combining it with glucose, fructose, or other simple carbohydrates in addition, prior use of creatine might enhance the sports benefits of carbohydrate-loading.
915874 tn?1372597646 We recently introduced a fix for IE8 where trackers were loading slowly. Please give your Exercise Tracker a try and see if it is working better now. To read the charts, the center of a box is equal to the number displayed next to it. So for example, if it says 1 next to a row, 1 is the middle of the box. Hope that helps!

Avatar m tn My daughter is 16 and is a very brittle diabetic. Every time she attempts to do any exercise, her blood sugar sky rockets! She can just do sit ups and stretches and her sugar can go from 135 to 450 in a matter of minutes. She has to take insulin before and check her sugar before, during and after exercise. It isn't the same for every diabetic, but if her blood sugar doesn't do as my daughters does, then it is the best thing for a diabetic.

Avatar n tn s suggestion after having to quit treatment last year after five weeks, I am trying to maintain healthy lifestyle. Avatar m tn The general opinion in LC circles is that you need 150g of carbohydrate per day for three days before an oral glucose tolerance test. I did this carb loading thing, then performed my own OGTT. It came out very normal except for mild reactive hypoglycaemia. So, I often walk around with a fasting blood glucose of 5.9mmol/l and in mild ketosis, yet have normal pancreatic and muscle function, provided I carb load before the test. BTW my FBG dropped to 4.3mmol/l after three days of carb loading.
Avatar m tn I have been overweight for some time and peaked at around 275. I am currently 250. My exercise routine consists of weight training and biking (stationary) for 20 miles 2-3 times a week. I have seen minor differences in my body, such as lost inches on the waist. But lately, it has been hard to lose the weight...I'm staying around 250. I want to focus primarily on losing the fat. I'm already pretty strong (bench 275) and don't really need to get stronger.

Eating high carbohydrate foods like cereal, pancakes, bread, fruit, vegetables, potato, pasta on a daily basis can help you train harder and compete better. All the best.
Avatar n tn Throughout the day, keep a water bottle near you and drink often. The cold ice water before meals kind of helps your stomach shrink up a bit before eating, making you more full faster. Obviously, you'll have to watch what you eat. There are numerous diet plans out there and working with your doctor is a good way to start.

Avatar f tn With blood sugar this high, you must drink plenty of fluids. Non sweetened. Water and unsweetened tea are ok. Do not take any carbohydrate containing foods until your blood sugars come down. If your numbers don't come down within a few hours you should go to the ER. You will need to see your doctor. maybe you need to start on insulin to help control your blood sugars. A low carbohydrate diet, and low glycaemic index foods may help you in controlling blood sugars.

Business woman1 If you want to lose weight, common causes of weight gain like overeating, lack of exercise, diabetes, hypothyroidism have to be ruled out in your case. You must then look for other causes. One is water retention due to low serum protein. This along with anemia can cause unexplained weight gain. Adrenal gland problems are the other cause. Cushing’s syndrome should be looked for. The kidney function too should be assessed. Late night snacking and poor sleep too can cause weight gain.
Avatar f tn The healthy choices you make to eat before running, same as after running. Just spend some cool down time. Whole grains, beans. Low fat dairy & plenty of fresh vegetables & fruits. Maybe a physical check up at the Dr too.
