Avatar f tn I found this article Vinegar is made from the oxidation of ethanol in wine, cider, beer, fermented fruit juice, or nearly any other liquid containing alcohol. Commercial vinegar is produced either by fast or slow fermentation processes. Slow methods are generally used with traditional vinegars and fermentation proceeds slowly over the course of weeks or months.
Avatar m tn More importantly, I’m not sure if I’m looking in the right direct, should I focus on bacteria fermentation or there are other better/more suitable test for this kind case. Any suggestions will be appreciated, thank you!
Avatar f tn I got my glucose test back and they said it was lower than normal. It's supposed to be between 70-140. It's way lower than 70. Is there anything I can do more to make sure I have my heathy baby girl.
Avatar f tn However, did not return after I stopped the o l e. Just guessing, but yeast causes fermentation (little critters called fermens do their life's work, which causes fermentation), which causes bubbles to rise in booze, bread, in warm water in a cup. If you find out for sure, let us know!
Avatar n tn In such an individual, the lactose passes into the small intestine undigested where bacteria begin to break it down via fermentation. Fermentation produces an excess amount of gas which causes bloating and abdominal cramps. This is not an uncommon occurence. Most mammals only produce lactase during infancy in order to digest the mother's milk. In short, mammals weren't intended to produce lactase throughout adulthood.
Avatar f tn I have been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and possible Carbohydrate Intolerance. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?
Avatar m tn Due to stomach problems, I have decided to try a Specific Carbohydrate Diet. Has anyone experienced relief on this diet? So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?
Avatar f tn When used in larger amounts, as in cooking and baking, these calories and carbohydrate should be accounted for by carbohydrate counting or by using starch/bread exchanges. As an example, one half cup of SPLENDA® Granulated contributes 12 grams of carbohydrates and 11 to 20 grams are counted as one starch exchange. In SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener Packets, sucralose is combined with maltodextrin and dextrose. These ingredients contribute 1 gram of carbohydrate and four calories per packet.
Avatar f tn Hello, All wines contain sulfites, because yeast naturally produces sulfite compounds during the fermentation process, and without sulfites, wine would spoil and oxidize. White wine has more sulfites than red wine. Foods may legally contain sulfites at levels ranging from 6 to 6,000 parts per million. The legal maximum for wine is 350 ppm, but the average content in premium wine is under 40 ppm. Inexpensive wines generally have higher sulfur content than expensive wines.
Avatar n tn t a sulphur allergy as such (usually characterised by nausea, diarrhoea, asthma or respiratory symptoms, headaches, itchy eyes) but the fermentation of certain foods in your large instestine that creates a reflux of sulphur gas. The foods that cause this usually contain a certain amount of insoluble (non digestible) fibre such as legumes (eg lentils), cellulose (outer part of fruit and vegetables) and the starch or fructan content in grains, fruit and vegetables.
Avatar m tn However, more exotic compounds can be produced by fermentation, such as butyric acid and acetone. Yeast carries out fermentation in the production of ethanol in beers, wines and other alcoholic drinks, along with the production of large quantities of carbon dioxide. You thought I was about done with this review, didn't you?
Avatar m tn I am 20 week and I been having frequent (3 yeast) infection the doc prescribe a yest infection pill and said if i have another yeast infection she will have to test to see if i have an std. With the yest infection everything cleared up but the strong odor. my question is: if it was trichomoniasis would the yest infecton pill have ANY affect on the symptoms that trichomoniasis have. Everything is gone but the bad smell. It is not as bad but it is still there.
Avatar m tn ( i was no longer stressed as much) The only real issue i had in 2012 is that at some point because i had eaten a few fermented lemons with sugar i had a incredible mass of gas and fermentation form and give me nearly insufferable pains and when i eliminated it i found some blood and mucous in the toilet but i didn't pay it any mind since well i had not felt that kind of pain in my life, i thought that the situation explained itself.
Avatar f tn -) But you must mean different or worse than normal. When I had an intestinal infection a few years ago, my gas and stools were pretty disgusting.
Avatar m tn Quit drinking. Lol pretty simple really. I'm sorry I kind of had to laugh to myself when I saw ur question of how to fix this problem. U don't say if it's wine beer or hard liquor that makes u itch, or all of the above .here's the thing, even IF there was a medicine u could take, that would make it so u don't itch when u drink, it only treating a symptom of drinking, not the cause. The cause is that u drink.
Avatar m tn When you have SIBO, candida or other pathogenic bacteria in the gut, fermentation can occur with the release of alcohol and other toxic elements. There may be other symptoms caused by it directly and indirectly: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3099351/ To check if the problem is in the fermentation, exclude carbohydrates from the diet for one day and watch your condition after eating. Another reason may be a reaction to histamine which is often accompanied by SIBO.
Avatar f tn I had my GD test yesterday and my fasting number was 86 I haven't heard back from my doctor yet so I'm hoping that's a good thing...what was your fasting #?
