Avatar n tn On my right index finger there seems to be a wart that is growing hair. Kind of like it's own sod farm, it's insane! It's towards the knuckle on my hand and hurts a lot! It's red around it and sometimes will look cauliflower-like. I've tried otc wart removers, only afterward noticing that it said do not use on warts growing hair...I wanted to ask here first as my doctors just wants my co-pay and never answers ANY of my questions. Any help would be much appreciated.
Avatar n tn A good probiotic, such as Prostora (available by prescription) or an over the counter product such as VSL-3 available online, and an over the counter pediatric digestive enzyme may be beneficial regardless of the cause. Additionally, a change to a grain free holistic diet may also help. Choose such brands as: Evo/Innova, Wellness, Natures Variety, Taste of the Wild, Instinct and others. Use 1/2 or less dry and 1/2 or more canned.

Avatar f tn I have been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and possible Carbohydrate Intolerance. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?

Avatar n tn Bulgar, Himalayan red rice, wild rice, Quinoa, ate all supposed to be better than plain white rice. Research shows sourdough to be better than even what bread. But ultimately tough have to try different things and check your blood after every meal and see what causes biggest spikes. Like for me I just can't do potatoes.
Avatar m tn Due to stomach problems, I have decided to try a Specific Carbohydrate Diet. Has anyone experienced relief on this diet? So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?
Avatar f tn Carbohydrate cravings are a hallmark of insulin utilization problems, and often signal the onset of diabetes. You need to see a physician and request a test called an hba1c, and preferably a fasting glucose test as well. "Checking the sugar" is meaningless because at times you may have normal blood sugar, depending on when you have eaten.

Avatar f tn When used in larger amounts, as in cooking and baking, these calories and carbohydrate should be accounted for by carbohydrate counting or by using starch/bread exchanges. As an example, one half cup of SPLENDA® Granulated contributes 12 grams of carbohydrates and 11 to 20 grams are counted as one starch exchange. In SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener Packets, sucralose is combined with maltodextrin and dextrose. These ingredients contribute 1 gram of carbohydrate and four calories per packet.
15481674 tn?1440853541 Oh boy....she sounds a handful! Poor little thing must get really stressed for it to make her throw up. Try to go down the 'drug-free' route if possible. First, check out her food. Is it extremely high quality with no additives, colourings, flavourings? Does it have good quality meat or fish as the main ingredients? And a sensible carbohydrate like rice or potato. Not 'animal derivatives', 'vegatable derivatives' corn or beet pulp, etc.
