All wines contain sulfites, because yeast naturally produces sulfite compounds during the fermentation process, and without sulfites,
wine would spoil and oxidize. White
wine has more sulfites than
red wine.
I feel that alone wine ingestion is not responsible for these swellings.A predisposing pathology has to be there.As you are a perimenopausal female,so the chances of arthritis are more likely.
