Avatar f tn It depends on who you ask.... In the US it is common practice for women to completely abstain from all alcohol consumption during pregnancy, however in other countries women are told a glass a week or a glass every now and then (after the first trimester) is perfectly fine. There are even some more progressive drs in the states giving similar advice now.

Avatar f tn Yes I have a glass of red wine occassionally and know others that have also drank red wine during pregnancy. I think in your first and second trimester it's one glass if red wine every week and once you get closer to the third trimester it was one glass a day. I was a little doubtful about it at first but after doing a lot of research I found that a glass of red wine is fine, it also has benefits for you and the baby bc red wine clears up toxins in the body as well.
8395982 tn?1399258729 s always gonna be someone who crucifies women for a glass of wine. There has been no proof at all that one glass of red wine will cause any harm to your child. Liquor and beer are a big no no. But some doctors even RECOMMEND a small glass of red wine. You'll be just fine, so will baby.
Avatar f tn I don't think it matters it's still red wine/alcoholic I guess just go with whatever you perfer, I don't think taste would make a difference it is really only a different taste doesn't make any bottle different to the other unless of course the percentage is more or less depending on I'd say it's brand and price :)

White wine has more sulfites than red wine. I feel that alone wine ingestion is not responsible for these swellings.A predisposing pathology has to be there. As you are a perimenopausal female,so the chances of arthritis are more likely. 7792797 tn?1413503184 I know that it is safe to drink a little bit of wine in your pregnancy as long as its not alot. I had 4 ounces of red wine well over a month ago. I am in the mood to have some wine tonight with dinner with my husband and was wondering if 4 ounces is OK or How much am I allowed to have? Does it has to be red Or is white wine OK to?
Avatar f tn Yes it's good for the heart but it still has alcohol in it that's bad for the baby. Trust me! Take it from someone who misses her red wine and sangria DEEPLY!!
Avatar f tn they say that 1 glass of red wine a day is okay in the third trimester ... i didn't drink at all because i was paranoid about everything. personally i would just ask your ob for confirmation.
Avatar f tn It has to be red wine is what my doctor told me. I drink a little glass a couple times a week.
Avatar f tn Personally, I think one glass of wine a day is far too many during pregnancy. No alcohol especially in your first trimester. But every now and then, I think is fine. I just wouldn't feel comfortable having a glass daily.
