Avatar m tn I am not sure where you live but most places in the US have free diabetes educators and you can go see them. They have dieticians there also. That would be my first suggestion they have a lot of up to date material and are very well trained. You can also call your sons endocrinologist. Good luck!
Avatar n tn and actually produce no insulin of their own (or very little insulin if they do produce any), and so lowering the carbohydrate count in their diets will not solve the problem.
Avatar m tn His liver count was 988 last year and my vet thought he was dying, i contacted Rick and Cindy and started him on the program, his liver count was down to 288 in July and he is still doing better each day. Hope this helps!

Now what I mean is that I am unable to remember any study material in college such as large paragraphs, even after revision. I can only remember one or tweo lines. This was not always the case because in chilhood my memory was preety good since I remembereed most of the reading that I did, but not the same in college. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?
Avatar n tn I think you're making a common mistake in thinking about food, which is that protein is good and carbs are bad. This isn't at all true -- the majority of your diet should be carbs. Vegetables, for example, the core of a healthy diet, are carbs, whereas beef is very high in fat on purpose and hard to digest despite being high in protein and so is never weight-loss food.

Avatar n tn s best to get the exact amount of carbs that you should be eating from your doctor- different medical conditions will cause the limit to be more or less. I have always been given different recommendations for different meals as well. In general, the recommendation is 30-60 grams for meals, and 15-30 for snacks, but again- talk to your doctor about your situation specifically.
Avatar m tn Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?

Horrible stomach distention and pain, No matter what I eat or drink. when I wake up stomach is somewhat flat, but still pudgy. After ingesting anything, it balloons, 2-3 months pregnant / no relief.
