Avatar f tn I have been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and possible Carbohydrate Intolerance. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?

Avatar n tn It is great that you are physically active as this will help in your management. You also do need to follow a low carbohydrate diet. People who eat low carb with ultra high protein and low fat run into the gluconeogenesis problem, which is your body taking some of the ultra high protein intake and making sugar (glucose). This diet is also called the LCHF (low carb high fat) diet (see the blog Diet Doctor for more info).
