1260320 tn?1270394906 Hi Jon, Thanks for your reply. I have not heard Benicar, so i'll google abt it later. I am recently put on candesartan but I have not taken it yet. I guess I m kinda scared of the side effects.

579125 tn?1251576265 I was wondering if anyone knows of... or could direct me in how to find trials for non-responders in the southern California area.
980756 tn?1313445908 I was in the last boceprevir trial. Like epiphiny says, it is to get a baseline and suitability. It's all pretty standard in trials and would be a good idea for most people starting TX, too. To be honest interferon can cause bizarre problems like lung damage, heart palpitations, etc. Not too common, but it happens.
980756 tn?1313445908 was screened for 3 trials and excluded at thge last second [it seemed] because of my early cirrhosis ... on 3rd week of BI 201335 trial..so hang in there......patience is a virtue..
Avatar f tn t be included in the trial. So to answer your question, there are very strict guidelines relative to clinical trials. As Bill said, go to the website and read some of the trials.
Avatar m tn Are there any new trials other than interferon or ribaviron, I've relasp twice and there nothing else my Doc says he can do.
88793 tn?1290227177 Atacand HTC [candesartan + hydrochlorothiazide] may raise blood sugars. Consult with your pharmacist regarding Atacand drug interactions with ANY and ALL drugs/supplements/herbs/vitamins you are taking which may elevate blood sugars. If none exists consult with your doctor on switching to another bp medication.
Avatar n tn I get that dry cough too. I don't take an ACE inhibitor though, I don't think. Just Lopressor, Dyazide/Maxzide, Lipitor and aspirin for the heart issues. For me it started a couple of years ago one summer after pushing myself too hard. I start coughing out of the blue to the point of either just about passing out or vomiting mucus. Urgg My chest hurts and feels sunken in, pounds very hard and quivers sort of and then I'm fine till it happens again.
8924846 tn?1410572901 Since its a school they ask patients who qualify to volenteer for drug trials when they are avalible. I was asked to take part in one that is for a nausea medication. So basically when i go in for my c section they will admister the medication or placebo when i get the spinal/epidural before the surgery. I would really like to take part and volenteer but at the same time id rather not be puking while they are cutting me open....
Avatar f tn hi -- a few weeks ago there was a guy who posted here looking for user-friendly clinical trials sites. He was getting medical help outside of the U.S. I can't find his post....so thought I'd write a new one hoping he'll find this. I found this site today and thought of him. http://www.centerwatch.com/patient/pns/patemail.
Avatar f tn Is anyone doing clinical trials? I think i would go anywhere for relief and / or a cure!
Avatar m tn I am looking to find treatment I have no insurance and I see a lot of Clinical Trials that you can sign up for an be notified by a recruiter, but my thought is how do I know if they reputable. Who can I contact to find out?
5295565 tn?1366120833 Except for the clinical trials as far as I know there is not yet any treatment available for HCV without interferon. For genotype 1, I believe it will be a few years before anything is available. By the way your English is fine.
329994 tn?1301663248 t know if I can post this or not, so will not post the actual information yet, but I received a magazine from a very good hospital in my area and in it was information about the ovarian cancer clinical trials that they are doing and a number to call if someone is interested. I live in Central Florida. So, if it is ok to post that info, or if there is anyone on here that would like that info, you can always send me a message.

518001 tn?1212419235 Its a great resource. I also recently found a site that matches patients to trials, http://trialx.org.

1853014 tn?1340038575 So because of this I have called Duke University to see about getting in their clinical trials which I could start right away. I would like some feedback good and bad but in the end I realize its my decision. This waiting game has put my life on hold and affecting me financially only. thanks everyone for your response. I enjoy and respect all of you.
559187 tn?1330782856 Sorry to hear this happened, and what a good question you raise. I'm not in a study; I declined a couple of treatment trials for practical reasons (travel involved). I did go over the consent forms I would have signed if I'd participated, but don't recall anything specific on this topic. It would be handled differently here, regardless. Provincal health insurance would cover a medically necessary procedure regardless of the cause. I would think in a situation like this, in the U.
Avatar f tn I believe there are a number of ladies of various trials on this forum. Perhaps if you added more info on the type of trials you are seeking, it will help us to give you the information you are seeking. Cheers...
789911 tn?1368636783 I am going to post this as a question again on the forum to see if anyone has any experience with these trials or know of anyother such as I saw in a pod cast from the UC Davis from Dr Lorenzo Rossaro from schering, vertex and novartis. Also was mentioned the Sanchez and Berg studies.
Avatar f tn My onc. has suggested I look into clinical trials for my colon cancer. How do I go about this and where do I start. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
