i take zoloft 100mg for anxiety/depression. i also take topamax for migraines. i started at 50 mg (25 mg am & pm) . yesterday my doc increased the topamax to 75 mg (50mg am & 25 pm). i was so focused on making sure i took the right amount of topamax that i can't remember if i took my zoloft or not. i counted my pills, but i'm still not sure if i took today's dose of zoloft or not.

Hi, The affordable alternatives to Lyrica are -Neurontin ,Topamax and Cymbalta. Since you have had no relief from Topamax, you can try the other two . if still you feel no better ,please consult your neurologist to suggest an alternative.Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !

About nine months and 2 miscarriages later, I decided that I really needed to be back on anti-depressants, so he put me back on Zoloft 100 mg/day as well as Topamax 50 mg/day for migraines. The Topamax has been working wonders for my migraines, and the Zoloft seemed to be working at first, but lately something doesn't seem right. I am not emotional, like crying, but I'm more angry, which was an issue before the Topamax, but I was able to control it better.

The pharmacist told me that you are at a higher risk of seizure and serotonin sydrome if you take ultram and a SSRI and commented about wondering why the doctor prescribed it. My NEW doctor today told me there is no way you should use them both, and told me to ditch (flush) the ultram and that someone on an SSRI or SSNI should in no way be taking that medication with ultram or ultracet. I flushed mine down the toilet today.

But im concerned, and urge you NOT to take these medications for the sole reason of losing weight, particularly that they are quite hardcore and may cause long term damage. Just stick to your prescribed dose, eat right, and exercise. I know its easier said than done. But a change if lifestyle makes a world of difference. Find a hobby, mabye a a participation, or team sport you enjoy. That way, you won't feel or think your exercising.

Have you ever blacked out before? You have to see your doctor. You may need a whole new regiment. I take Klonopin and find it to be a kinder gentler benzo. You can't just stop or switch your meds. It has to be done with your doctor's help. Slow and easy.....If you are not seeing a psyc doctor, you should consider it. They are more familiar with the types of meds you are taking.

my daughter was prescribed zoloft (sertraline) 25 mg, celexa 10 mg, and lexapro 5 mg to take all together. Hi...well I can say that TOPAMAX helps greatly in changing the type of HA u get and once in a blue moon when needed Ibuprofen does help.....I know u do not want meds, I didn't either but I have not had my TOPAMAX since b4 Christmas and I am going nutz as I had HA's all under control.... U may want to see what may be causing ur HA's...for me I know it is my EDS and instability and TCS.....once u know it may be easier to know how to deal with it...

Topamax 200 mgs daily......Zoloft 250 mgs daily........Elavil 50 mgs daily. I also take Klonopin PRN & Vistaril PRN. I also have Sjogren's Syndrome (dx 4/22/16) I take Plaquenil 400 mgs daily......Evoxac 90 mgs daily. I have been Bipolar for 14 years, and I have been on a lot of meds. But this current cocktail I have been on for about 3 years now and haven't had a med increase in at least 18 months.

Can i just ask how far apart is the Klonopin from the Zoloft? Like ani't you allowed to take them together? was thinking that maybe the two together may balance you out..when taken??? Also i'd love to know why AD's have this effect on people, i get this as well, around the 4th or 5th day i start to feel panicky and jittery beyond belief... it's kinda weird don't ya think that they are mean't to stop the anxiety but for a short time they can make it far worse.

Hello. I've never taken Zoloft. But most SSRI's take about 2-4 weeks to start working. 6-8 weeks they typically reach their therapeutic effect. Hope all goes well.

Has anyone ever responded to the original questions posted in 2010? I am curious. I have been taking 300 mg Wellbutrin and 200 mg Topamax since May 2016 and have lost approx 30lbs. I wasn't aware of the side affects and my doctor said as long as I feel fine there is no reason to run tests. I just want to make sure others are having this same significant weight loss.

Maybe just research those two medicines for yourself and see what you think about them and then you can suggest them to your doctor. It sounds like you have anxiety as well, perhaps? Anyways, it is YOUR JOB to let your doctor know they aren't giving you the proper treatment so next time you see them say you are not getting better and you do not wish to be on Zoloft any longer.

It can be avoided by most people as long as you drink and ENTIRE glass of water with every topamax pill you take. This is extremely important... never take topamax without water!!! But, for a very small number of people topamax can still cause kidney stones, which are extremely painful. My friend stayed on the topamax because without it she would be completely disabled and no other medication works for her...

I'm currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I just started the 300 bupropion after being on 150 last week and have already had crying spells but this was the week of my period so I was thinking I just could be "emotional".
