Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS.
In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses.
But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.

I was diagnosed with UCTD an year ago and i am on Plaquenil. My hands and fingers swell in the night. I start to have tingling sensation. Due to swelling i have sleepless nights. I take tylenol PM but most of the times it doesn't help and i get couple of hrs of sleep. The swelling goes down a little bit in the mid morning. i exercise atleast 4 times a week. Please let me know if anybody else had these issues.
Someone else may have a different experience with it, but I would recommend against it...advil can tear up your stomach and tylenol can tear up your liver, and when you combine them you're just making it that much harder for each system to process them easily. have you tried things like aleve? Naproxen sodium I have found to be a superior pain reliever as far as OTC medications (non prescription) go :-).
For short periods these are great but long term use not only causes liver damage but NSAIDs used long term(over 2 wks) can cause kidney damage. If you have pain and take narcotics as perscribed or less, the likelyhood of becoming dependent are between zero and nothing.A Dr. once told me that we are only trying to lessen my pain not eliminate-make it bearable.
t already you need to see a Rheumatologist and get all new labs done. I take Enbrel for my disease ( AS), my last rheumy gave me a RX for Lyrica which I did not even bother filling, not interested in gaining weight thank you! If you've been on Mobic for a long time it is entirely possible your body is no longer responding to it. Ask your Dr. about a drug called Arthrotec, again because I don't know an absolute on you it's hard to give you too much advice.
Beyond Tylenol if you have severe pain you can take narcotics without Tylenol added. There is some indication that they might help the HCV to replicate more rapidly so its really best to limit them as much as you can, but some people can't. I've also got a chronic painful spinal condition and have required narcotics for years now, including while on triple tx with Incivek, and yet I did achieve SVR.
Hi there, It sounds like there is some type of irritation or infection. You may have a small amount of movement (rubbing) between the implants and the skin. I doubt you are rejecting the titanium. They use this type of metal because it is the least likely to be rejected. When my son broke his ankle the Orthopedic Surgeon advised against NSAID's. He said it does help with inflammation but it slows the healing process of the bone somehow. He said to just take tylenol.
Oh just re-read your question and honestly I don't know. I do know you can take ibuprofen while breastfeeding and you can take tylenol and ibuprofen together. So if you have ibuprofen I'd take that.
I am currently trying to taper off of Lortab after a failed C/T attempt and am having sleep issues. I was wondering if any of you know if you can take Wellbutrin and Melatonin at the same time. I took Wellbutrin for a Post-Traumatic Stress situation last year and then stopped once my depression was mostly over and then I started using it again about two weeks before I decided to quit the pills in the hopes that it would help the depression that i knew would happen.
There are contraindications in taking them together and if that is what you doctor prescribed then it should be fine. If you got them at the same pharmacy they shlould also have both meds on file to make sure they are fine taken together. All you really need to do is call your pharmacy and they should be able to give you a defenitive answer, but in my case it has always been fine. Nothing can substitute the advice of a professional.
