Phentermine does not list thyroid meds or thyroid disease as a caution or a contra-indication, so it should be alright.
You don't want to take ANY drugs or vitamins or supplements at the same time as you take your Synthroid.
Take your Synthroid with a glass of water in the morning. No food or anything for an hour. Coffee is ok, cream or milk is a major no-no.

Just asking, but did you tell them at the weight loss clinic about the antidepressants and anxiety meds you were taking?. Discuss with MD that prescribed anti-depress/anxiety meds. I guess I am afraid of diet pills after the ruckus with Phen-phen. I was assured Redux was VERY safe--no adverse side effects I have since learned I have pul. Hypertension and 3 damaged heart valves.This causes depression when I think about it. I was a hospice nurse. I am on Wellbutrin among others.

I too have done Phentermine (it is banned in canada now) and lost weight. You cannot be on it forever and your advice is bang on!! You do have to get up and move to burn calories. The food tracker in here is awesome!! It really makes you look where your food calories are coming from.
You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine. Its bad enough that you run the risk of heart problems with Phentermine but adding energy drinks to that just adds to the risk. I took Phentermine for a while. I never drank energy drinks because I cant stand them but I now have heart problems because of the Phentermine.

Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Deffinitely stop with the phentermine...I'm not sure about the synthroid but the phentermine hasn't been studied with pregnant women however woman taking it with the other fen (can't remember the name) had a miscarriage rate of 1/3 as opposed to the normal miscarriage rate of 12-15%. t have much results with phentermine but I can say that it distracts my brain into not thinking about food. I just stay busy the best I can and try not to be around food. The downside of Phentermine for me was: I usually don't feel it working, Caffeine will counter act mine as well as stress and anything else negative in my life. I also started to take 2 pills then backed off cause it keeps me wired at night.
My doctors suggest that I take Phentermine but im taking levothyroxine 88mg and Cytomel 5mg due to thyroidectomy 3 years ago and I have gain weight due to hypothyroidism. Have anyone tried the phentermine while on levothyroxine and Cytomel?

I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.
