Avatar f tn Can gonorrhea be cured with a special type of athletes foot cream or does it just relieves the symptoms? Because I went to the doctor and my results were positive of having gonorhea from my vaginal exam, I told the doctor that the symptoms only occured outside of my genitals but yet he found the bacteria near my cervix. he gave me an athletes foot cream and told me to apply it twice a day until the syptoms stop then told me I could leave.
578950 tn?1217771704 Just to update on the situation, looks like I had athletes foot on my foot, which then shocked my immune system into having a bought of eczema, it was not athletes foot on my hands, those little bumpy things, that was eczema! So it was misdiagnosed by the Dr's on this site. Eczema came on my feet, fingers and hands, as a result of the athletes foot making my immune system have some kind of a reaction.
Avatar f tn You can jus buy the topical cream over the counter and put it on your rash on your foot.
1100598 tn?1413127426 s unlikely that you caught it there especially if you walked on a dry surface. have you had pedicure recently? To be really sure what it is you could have it analyzed with skin biopsy. try natural products along with pharmaceutical, bleach and vinegar for example. deep the foot in white vinegar.
Avatar n tn Wish I saw this sooner...I have it too, try using cortizone to reduce redness and irritation; use Fast actin' tenactin you can buy it at your local pharmacy over the counter....the stuff is for athletes foot and works great!
Avatar n tn Sounds like athletes foot. Did you try Lamisil cream? Keep your feet dry. Don't walk barefoot at the gym or outside your home. Change your socks frequently especially if they get damp or sweaty. Try to wear open toe shoes as often as you can. Keep the bathroom shower and bath clean.
Avatar m tn Do this solid for 2 weeks, twice a day and then for another week after that. Make sure you wash your hands after you touch the infected areas -you are probably recontaminating yourself. Also, if you wear a hat, wear one that is washable, and spray the area where it touches your head with an antifungal spray. If you can, resist wearing a hat..Boil all hair brushes or combs and don't share. Change your pillow case at least every two days...I know this is a lot, but it is worth it!!!
Avatar f tn I started with a red itchy rash on my feet that I thought was athletes foot . Tried Athletes Foot spray and did not help. Then rash spread to my palms and elbows. There are points of the day where there is no itching and the rash is barely visible, and then other points where I am so itchy and the rash is bright red. What could this rash be? What can I do about it?
Avatar f tn s possible it could be caused by athletes foot. The skin around the toes can sometimes split open if left untreated. My ex had this really bad for a while... Do you work somewhere that causes your feet to get wet or sweaty? Moisture is a common source of athletes foot. Try to keep the area clean and dry. Perhaps try a cream or powder for athletes foot. If you still have a problem or if the area becomes red, puffy, warm to touch and/or has pus, see a doctor asap! Good luck!
Avatar n tn Two things must be accomplished to control athletes foot. 1. you must change the environment of your foot, meaning you have to try to keep it dry and clean, as fungus thrive in moist environments. This means washing and drying your feet daily, changing socks possibly during the day and avoiding high top boots, if you can. 2. most people never use their topical antifungal medication long enough.
Avatar m tn Hello, From the history that your friend is having athlete’s foot, it can be fungal infection. The second possibility because of the sudden appearance of the bumps is of viral infection like hands, foot and mouth disease. Wash your feet daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. Keep the area dry and keep a separate towel for yourself.
627781 tn?1244030218 To test this possibility, I took off my rings (cleaned them and put them on the dresser to dry all night), put Lotrimin (athletes foot medication) around my ring finger, and put a band aid on it overnight. The next morning the rash was gone, I put my clean and dry rings, and haven't had a problem since. I hope people read this and I hope it helps.
Avatar n tn when i lived in australia and worked in a job were you had a shower every day after work, [ i still shower everyday a good habbit try it /it wont kill you..] i was told by the cleaver aussies who could teach us brits a bit about hygene] don't wear under-wear or socks that have nylon in them as it will fire up your privates +feet.. don't let the hair under your arms grow long keep it very short or you will smell like a pig..
Avatar m tn s foot, but I do know that if you are concerned about syphilis, you could just get a blood test and find out. If your feet look like that, you absolutely need to get that checked by your doc.
Avatar m tn t really itch and its leaving my foot market up as you can see. The other parts around the red areas is dry skin. I orginally thought this was athletes foot and tried the cream for that but it did not really work for about a week.
Avatar m tn Just quickly, the shoes were from a place called athletes foot, and he said they were pretty high (he could fit three fingers under the arch (while I had socks on). The arch's face each other (if you put your feet parallel), while the foots flat on the on the other side. I also have no other problems (neurological, muscle problems, bone problems, etc etc).
Avatar f tn go to the store and purchase athletes foot cream. The cheap stuff works great, rub the cream on a couple times a day. Or go to a vets office and ask for ringworm shampoo and use that when you shower. It works great.
Avatar n tn g who told you that soaking you feet in bleach was ok wow,,,go see a foot doctor its not going get better with bleach it sounds like athletes feet the longer you wait your nails will turn thick and yellow and stay like that for good if not treated.
Avatar f tn s in two places on my foot and stems from a time in which I was in thongs on a camp out at a muddy camp site. Ugh, gross just thinking about it. I've been to the doctor. I've tried lots of things. It will come and go. If the cream you have now is not helping and you've used it for a few days, I'd talk to your doctor about trying something else. My issue is probably fungal.
Avatar f tn Sorry, I was rushing on the day I answered you (on my way out of town at the time). IF it is mange and not ringworm (which it looks like it could be) than you should take kitty in for the shot which deals with mange. However, often mange and ringworm are cross diagnosed, especially in the early stages. So you can try the lotrimin cream or a generic like it to see if it has any effect. If there's no significant improvement after a week I'd take kitty into the vet to be sure.
Avatar f tn Red with small bumps a little bit on his toes too. NOTHING on the bottoms of his feet, which is why I come here because athletes foot searches are coming up with nothing. No other symptoms. He wears wool socks and workboots all day M-F sneakers with cotton socks on the weekend. I need to know if this is serious or if I am just being paranoid. I've never seen a rash like this on him before. Thank you in advance.
9445847 tn?1408059755 You don't have to wear tennis shoes to get athletes foot and itching is only a side effect that you may or may not get. I'm not saying you have it, saying that's what it sounds like. I'm not a doctor, which is why you should consult your doctor.
Avatar n tn I too have this same blistering problem on my feet. I get these deep seated blisters in the arches of my feet and also on the outside of my heels. I only usually get a few at a time and once they go away, I will sometimes go months before getting more. From what I found online, it appears it is Dyshidrosis, although the pictures I saw were quite worse than mine, the description still sounds the same. Unfortunately, it sounds like there are no known exact causes or treatments.
3105573 tn?1355979465 I looked this up and found a couple of things it could be. Athletes foot or you are on your feet to much and need to rest them and soak them. Hope this helps. Maybe mention this to your doc.
Avatar f tn Jock itch is just a fungal infection. Just like athletes foot. You can try an antigravity fungal creme.
