) 1) Would anyone who has ever taken this medication please tell me about their own experience on Pristiq? What do you feel like? Can you describe how you feel? I could be wrong but i felt i was an odd case when it came to pristiq. basically I have always been content, happy, optomistic type person but have suffered from severe shyness and some social anxiety.
1 calcium to magnesium). There are also a lot of other natural remedies you can try if you wish to go that way, but a good naturopath would be useful in that case. But I still feel, based on your experience with that workbook, that you're in that 30% that therapy actually can help. I'd go for that first.
Thanks - I don't trust my doctor's knowledge on this too much. I'm actually not really seeing him anymore, after a second opinion confirmed he was mis-managing my thryoid disease and making me sicker.. he also prescribed this pristiq for thyroid disease because he believed my insomnia, stress, and high blood pressure meant I was mentally ill. Now that I've discovered the real problem - Hashimoto's thyroid disease, I'm still stuck on Pristiq. Anywho.. I will definitely check w/ the pharmacy.
too early to tell but i feel pretty calm. showing all the signs of flatlining. you don't NEED to draw, and you don't NEED to check email, and things are LESS URGENT (i could do it tomorrow), world is calm and plain. i can see things patterns butterflies but i'm not really connecting with them. maybe a bit less jumpy. can't tell if i'm upsettable more or not. makes me think it's a bad idea. i don't know why but as bad as living quality is, i really don't like ZOMBYING!
My doc said to go off after I had been happy long enough that I was ready, so when you say you almost feel normal, maybe you need a bit longer. I waited for 8 months of peace before moving off them last month. Here is my reason for holding off: You have a 50% chance of depression relapse just because you had one bout. Then it is like 90% for a third if you have a second.
This document, leaked by a disillusioned company employee, lists more than 250 over-the-counter medications and prescription drugs that can cause false positives.
I think with this disease vanity has to take a back seat. I also think if you exercise and try to eat right you can cut back on the amount of weight you may gain. Lastly, depakote tends to cause less weight gain in men than women. That was also per a study I read from one of the universities. If you google mood stabelizers and weight gain you might find some of the same studies I found. Best of luck!!
You say that your anxiety level is very high. You are on a number of meds that should be helping you, but apparently, they aren't doing an adequate job. (I have no idea what "pail" is) Of course there is "hope" that you will get off the Klonopin. There is absolute certainty you can. I just wonder why you think getting off the Klonopin will fix this situation, if I'm reading it correctly.
Then eventually was able to do half a day then eventually not take any for a few days. Well I can go about 4 or 5 days at most without taking any now and be ok and try to fight the panic. After those days are up I think some crazy thought that my body needs it so i go and take it. I want to just stop them and take whenever I need them or do I try and take ativan instead? Am I thinking crazy here?
Well time to get ready try to write more later i know i have been lazy about it lately but I will keep it up best I can to track myself. At least most of my equipment is still in pretty good shape so that will save some.
your in school and thats great becuase when you finish your schooling you can get a better job. Its tough now, but it will all pay off in the future. I am on Pristiq. It has helped me tremendously with anxiety, and i know thats not what your post is about. But..it works with 2 chemicals in your brain which are seratonin and norepinephrine which are 2 out of 3 chemicals that are linked to depression. Also, Lexapro is another one I've been on.
have you and your husband ever had counseling? i can tell by the way you wrote and what you wrote that you are stressed to the max. we're her to listen to you and give support. take care.
When can I live the life that I remember from 4 years ago? AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. If you can help it, never go on Cymbalata, or any other SSRI for that matter, unless you are 100% positive that the benefits will outweight the negatives. Make sure to get a second or even third opinion about whether or not SSRI's are good for you!
IVE DROPPED A MG IN LESS THAN A MONTH BUT THE WDS HAVE BEEN REALLY ROUGH, IM NOT BY NO MEANS TELLING YOU TO DO THAT. BUT WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE TO USE THINK AND SAY I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STREGHTENS ME AND HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. I SAY IT ALL THE TIME. IF IT WERNT FOR GOD I WOULDNT BE WHERE IM AT RIGHT NOW.
Come on in and make yourself at home. We are delighted you came to join us. Lots to learn, lots to teach ...
I want to take it all and see what happens. Pristiq or even effexor wont kill you providing you get to hospital and take activated charcoal, but dexamphetamine rush, I may wake up dead. I am sick of my depression ****, so I have no fear. That makes me borderline in mental health here. I will be in and out like a rocket because I dont meet their criteria, even thougfh I will do 220kmh in a car not caring what tree I could bounce off. You would not believe where I take my 4x4.
Hi, I was a on a 5-year run with percs due to injuries. If you cut yourself back to 2 pills a day, maybe you can cut yourself back even more. One idea would be to cut your pills in halfs or even quarters and start lowering your dose and time between medicating. I went through another round of injuries recently and was provide hydros. I only have been taking quarters (a quarter of one pill) three times a day.

Try thinking this through and imagining why you think you can exercise if you are very depressed when you can't now. That's just another reality I raised with you, not a denial that you can. Good luck.
Am afraid if you don't, you might crash. As for your niece, all you can do is be there for her, but it would'nt hurt to talk to a doctor about trying new meds.I would talk to health care professional about the meds. they may have not found the right meds for her yet. In the mean time, just love her.
It's as if I have symptoms of Vertigo and can't fix it. I'd rather be shot in the foot and deal with that discomfort and pain than these annoying side-effects. What do I do?

Do not drive. Got it yet? Don't drive. You will have an accident if you continue as you are feeling the bad stuff I'm afraid. I had about 3 months of effects from coming off Effexor although the only effect that lasted more than a couple of weeks was this spacial/visual distortion thing. Hard to describe but I couldn't look right or left when driving, truly couldn't move my head out of fear of this effect. So stopped driving and it passed. Sort of like watching things through strobe lights.
As for switching the Celexa for another antidepressant. Most Psychiatrist would have you cut down to 10Mgs a day and then just make a fast switch to another. Some P-docs like to wean people off for about a week before introducing a new antidepressant. It just depends on the Psychiatrist. My P-docs alway just switched me over fast even before the former drug was out of my system. I never had a problem with that.
After reading remars reply, I see where I may have misunderstood about the sequence of you taking Gabapentin. If it helped you before but you can now no longer afford it, remar is right that many pharmaceutical companies have patient assistant programs for their more expensive meds. Also, as he said, most doctors have the necessary paperwork for these programs at their offices, or can tell you how to get them. I apologize for any misundestanding on my part.
