we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?

I would think sleep plays a big part in memory and levels of anxiety. Perhaps the vyvanse stimulation gets me so focused my breathing is shortened and anxiety develops.
Since taking the Vyvanse I find it easier to get up in the morning. I'm more focused switched on and attentive. My drive is empowering and my self confidence has improved.

Also, and this is more for me obviously, put them in a pill box so if you see it is gone, you know you have taken it. All medication like this can give you some memory loss. I am 39 + 2 (yes i refuse to use the forty word as i do not look it lol) so memory loss already but i suffered severe memory loss after 2 yrs on desoxyn which is a methamphetamine. Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''. The extra dopamine and norepinephrine you produce using this drug is contributing to the well-being feeling, focus and energy.
First, watch when you take the Vit. C. I know that orange juice and other citric acid drinks can hinder the absorption of stem meds. Not sure if a pill would do the same.
In regards to your question, my only thought is it just could be the timing. Extended release meds do just that. They release at different times of the day. Possibly, you were unlucky enough to have been tested just shortly after a dose hit your system.
Been on Vyvanse since November to help control binge eating , bulimia, and ADHD . Yep I've had a rough year . So a couple months ago I noticed swelling in left breast. Hello, yes I have been taking this combination of Vyvanse (70mg per day in the am) and Clonidine (0.2mg in the afternoon and 0.2mg at night). I highly prefer Vyvanse over adderall because I do not suffer from side effects w/Vyvanse as with the adderall. The Vyvanse is much smoother than most all other adhd drugs. I have never experienced shortness of breath while taking Vyvanse, however, I am 25 years old and 180lbs. I am also a Registered Nurse.
