Avatar f tn s difficult to get into a routine, but exercise is great therapy. Martial arts also. it gets you focused. Exercising to music especially can create a natural elevated mood with a group of people. There are a lot of new exercise routines to music these days. Have some fun-- don't toss all medications...there may be one that could be helpful, but it can take over a month or two to find them. You've made it 10 years.

Avatar m tn I would talk to your pharmacist or doctor about the combination of paxil and buspar. Perhaps you can time when you are taking them better. As far as withdrawel, that is easily remedied with all ssri's. You titrate back down. If you were on 25 mg, you'd cut back by 5 or 10 mg over the course of a few weeks. With all ssri's---- never stop cold turkey. (but there isn't a big difference in 20 mg of paxil vs 25 . . .) I think 20 mg is the usual dose of paxil, however.
Avatar n tn Combining fluoxetine or paroxetine with phenytoin can also lead to increased phenytoin side effects and reduce blood levels of paroxetine. You really need to discuss the potential drug interactions with your own doctor.

Avatar f tn d suggest you ask your doctor about Lyrica instead. Lyrica also can have side effects, but so can any drug. Lyrica seems to be overall the best at controlling the firing of synapsis. It works for me anyway. If you've been taking the Paroxetine for any length of time, you need to be careful about getting weaned from it. Don't stop cold! You can go through withdrawal. If you decide to get on something else, have your doctor wean you from what you are using first.
Avatar f tn For me (with all my meds) there was a time for pills and a time for not being on pills. I am not saying that you should think about stopping your medicine. With any change whether it be a drop in dose or an up in dose you can expect changes but I can't tell you whether it will make you better or worse. I am interested in your experience though if you wish to come back on and share it.

Avatar f tn What time do you take paroxetine 30mg?
Avatar f tn Post-partum depression is a hormonal imbalance, and no antidepressant will change that. You might feel better, but then you're on an antidepressant, and they have their own problems. Because these meds have different effects on different individuals, nobody can tell you how you'll experience it -- their experience won't necessarily have any resemblance to yours.
