menstrual-cycle

Avatar f tn Today, on Friday, March 24th, 2023, the regular lower-left back muscle spasms have returned. I no longer feel spasms on the right side, though the sharp, aching pain from the left side radiates over the spine to the right side when the pain is severe.
Avatar f tn I had the same problem. Switching sleeping positions or recruiting your partner for a back rub can really help! Watch your posture when sitting up. Also a hot water bottle or heating pad feels great (just like with menstrual cramps). If you don't have one, use an old dish soap bottle and fill with hot water, or take a pouch or old sock and fill with rice, close, knot and heat in the microwave for a couple minutes.
Avatar f tn Is it normal for lower back pain and menstral like cramps.
Avatar f tn how long they last and how far apart they are. From what ive heard contractions can feel like menstrual cramps and/or lower back pains. if they are getting closer together and more intense- call your doctor!!
Avatar f tn I have that it feels like Menstrual cramps in my back
Avatar f tn Ectopic pregnancy, cyst, and miscarriage are three possibilities I can think of that could cause menstrual-like pain and spotting. Its also possible something benign is going on but its impossible to know at this point. If the pain gets much worse, you feel like you are going to pass out, or you become dizzy/nauseous (along with any other symptom that you might be concerned about) you should head back to the doctor ASAP.
Avatar f tn Any of you experiencing back pain?! Omg its not cool ;( any tips to somewhat relieve it??
Avatar f tn The sore, aching, and rigid muscles on the left seem to be a residual effect of the typically constant muscle spasms and stabbing nerve pain that have remained in the area since the original presentation of my severe chronic pain symptoms back in 2018. Bending too far forward still triggers sharp pain in the center of the lower spine. Throbbing, aching pain can still be felt radiating from the left hip down the left thigh and to the knee. Said knee is hyper-reflexive.
6387609 tn?1393274731 How far along are you? At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).
1523981 tn?1311318595 It can be, yes. Your uterus is growing and expanding as the baby grows larger. This is going to put pressure on your entire lower portion of your body. Sometimes though these cramps can actually be contractions and as you're too early for baby to come this would be dangerous. Does it feel like a squeezing pain at all, or just normal menstrual cramps. For reassurance, you can also phone L&D or your doctor and explain the pain to them and see what they say about it.
Avatar f tn Hey girls for the past hour I have been having uncomfortable menstrual cramps and a little back pain. I'm kinda sweating due to the cramps. My stomach got tight about two times. Is this normal or Shud I go to the hospital?
Avatar f tn The pain felt like menstrual cramps but without contractions (you know like 10 minutes of pain then ease for 3 minutes then back to 10 min.). What could be the cause of this?
7450032 tn?1396631975 I'm 31 weeks 4 days and I've been having this really bad back pain that feels like menstrual cramps. I also get the same pain in my lower abdomen as well but it's consistent. There is no rhythm to it so I don't know what to make of it. It hurts pretty bad at times then at others not so much and it's lasted about a week now. My baby is moving just fine and I'm not spotting or anything. I'm a ftm so this is all new to me. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
290018 tn?1240365868 I should mention that I always have back pain during my AF though. When I talk about menstrual cramps, that is what I refer to b/c that is what hurts me. ... Now that I think about I may be weird .... Does anyone else besides me cramp in their back during AF? I think its genetic b/c my mom did and so does my sister. Just wondering ....
Avatar f tn t cause any symptoms. In fact, corpus luteum cysts appear toward the end of the menstrual cycle, last into early pregnancy, and then usually resolve over a period of time without any special treatment.
1395422 tn?1308016251 It is interesting to note that menstrual cramps can be measured by the pressure within the uterus and the frequency and number of contractions. The average woman experiencing a normal menstrual period has low-pressure contractions, 15-30 second long, with 1-4 contractions per minute. A woman with menstrual cramps has contractions of a higher pressure (sometimes more than 5 times higher than her counterpart), over 90 seconds long, and often less than 15 seconds apart.
Avatar f tn i get cramps in my back that feel like a charlie horse that you get in ur calfs do u happen to know if this is normal
Avatar f tn Yep that's how my contractions normally start. That's how I BBC an define my real ones from Braxton hicks because Braxton hicks start in my stomach but my real ones start as pain in my backs that gets worse and then it wraps around my uterus and my entire stomach hardens and hurts and then after awhile my stomach and uterus start to relax and the pain in my back slowly goes away until the next one happens.
Avatar f tn Evening primrose oil may help with menstrual cramps. You can purchase the capsules from large supermarkets that sell medicines and herbal remedies and also from your herbal shop as well as on line. Low magnesium, potassium and calcium can cause cramps. Chromium and magnesium will also help to lessen sugar cravings. Chromium is in brewer's yeast; magnesium is in oatmeal, avocados, almonds and soya beans.
8593574 tn?1398970803 There is a lot going on right now. I would get very bad menstrual like cramps in the beginning of my pregnancy but all is good now.
Avatar n tn Yesterday I woke up with lower back pain and what seemed like menstrual cramps. I thought I was just getting my period because I was due for it yesterday. However, I didn't start my period and the menstrual cramps seemed to get better but then I started experiencing the left ovarian pain instead. My husband and I have been TTC for 15 months now.. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative. My temperatures have been low for 4 days now, and no period yet.
Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.
Avatar n tn Well now for the days two days its gone from my lower back to my side around my hip area and I am also feeling slight cramps at times on the right side. The back pain still comes once in awhile but is less. Seems like all these pains and symptoms last for a few days then something else begins, I was stressing about it being a kidney infection with the back now im worried about it being appendicitis. Got an appointment today with my family doc will talk to him about it.
Avatar f tn It can be because your dehydrated or hungry, and if uv bn drinking lots of water thy can possibly be contractions
Avatar f tn If you have severe cramping from a menstrual period, exercise can seem almost impossible. Endometriosis can cause pain in your uterus a few weeks before your period starts. After physical activity and sex, the pain may be most noticeable. If you have an allergic reaction to exercise, cramping of the uterus is one of the many symptoms and can occur during or after exercising, according to the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology.
Avatar f tn Tri-Sprintec typically causes nausea, bloating, stomach cramps, breast pain, vaginal discharge, menstrual irregularities and changes in your appetite and weight. Tri-Sprintec can affect your appearance and cause increased hair growth, loss of hair or freckling of your skin. It can cause nervousness, a headache and fatigue. These side effects are fortunately rather benign. However, they may become bothersome if they last for more than three days.
