There IS help out there, you may have to go to more than one therapist to find someone you connect with. I will pray for you, and know that prayer can help, it is usually a persons LAST resort.
So even if you are feeling better right now does not mean you are in the clear. Im quite worried for you because of the large single overdose in combination with alcohol as well. Alcohol destroys the enzymes that help metabolize aceto- so you are dooming yourself even further! Please, go to the ER and have them do bloodwork asap to see if your liver is failing!
Only YOU can stop the merry-go-round. I hope you can and pray that you will get to the other side. Your disease is progressing--it's time.
the way i have understood anything over a 100 mg's your body stores and i have come to take that as a fact because at 250 mg i still wanted more the doctor always ask me if i was getting drowse when i ask for a increase i have never had that affect but again i have seen people on as little as 50 mg's haveing the nod's none of it really makes since each person is different so there for every one has different situations but i can say it's a mind over matter thing wilpower and prayer is your best
Perhaps sleep apneia? It can cause a lot of the symptoms you have described. I know this because my brother-in-law suffered from it. I wish you all the best.
Day 22 Cold Turkey Tramadol ... I woke up HAPPY. I used to wake up happy all the time, before the Tramadol. Waking up happy is good. Then I tried to move. I had to use my hands and arms to get up out of bed. My body has been pushed as far as it will go. So after trying all my best tricks (aminos, coffee, food, vitamins, water) I finally stopped the struggle and called in sick for work. Tomorrow will be a busier day anyhow.
You can quit tramadol. You can stop. You can recover. I believe in you!
Deal with that first. Then stay on the internet and read all that you can. Call everyone you can find on-line. This means Doctors, support groups, medical aid programs, hospitals where trials are run. I started treatment a month ago. I'm getting $100,000 worth of drugs free. I found a compassionate Dr. who charges me half rate. He lets me get my bloodwork done directly at the lab of my choice. I found a lab who gives me 40% off because I have no insurance.
But for all of them, success depends upon the motivation of the addict-- not the addict's family members, who are usually motivated long before the addict is. The best you can do is make certain that you protect yourself and the children, and let the consequences fall where they should fall-- on the shoulders of the addict. Often an opiate addict will not seek treatment until losing everything, or almost everything.
Okay honey so what are you going to do now about your depression. Can you talk to your parents about this? Why are you feeling bad enough to kill yourself? I am a lot older than you, but I tried this exact way to end it when I was 12yrs old. Let me just encourage you that life will get better as you get older. Your dealing with hormones, maybe your a senior in highschool or just a young one like I was and graduated in June and now your facing life.....

For those of you out there that would doubt the pain and tend to judge me for my failed attempt to kill myself I only have one thing to tell you....Live in my shoes for just one bad month and then you can try to understand! I haven't slept more than 3 to 4 hours a night for over 4 yrears and sometimes I don't sleep for days on end unless I am heavily medicated. I am so tired that I can barely function on the best of days. The only meds I am currently taking Vicodin 7.
I never OD buy I know others who heave and if a person has OD more than once they assume they are trying too kill them selves. I hope you can be strong and leave. This is his battle. You can offer help but if he don't want too quit then he won't. :( I speed pills because of situations life these and I have 4 amazing children that need me. I deal with my pain naturally and with prescribed ibuprofen now. You have a whole life ahead of you.
He gave me Nexium pills for my stomach. He told me not to take any other pills except Tylenol or Ibuprofen for my headaches. He also draws blood to see if I had any stomach problems. I started taking my pills and my stomach felt better and I could sleep at night now. Since then until now I have felt different sensations inside my head, but being completely numb and empty. My head has felt completely numb for around two months. One day I felt like there were wires inside my head.
You have scourging anger pulsing through your veins and you are cranky as hell. You are a ****in class A basket case. You want to kill everyone and let them feel the pain you are in. Your head is going a million miles an hour craving that last push/smoke/bump or pill.Your thoughts are demented. Nothing would make you happier than unloading a full gatling gun at the local Wal-Mart that sold you out-dated milk. You are a mental freak out living in hell. You want to DIE.........

A tramadol overdose can be fatal. Overdose symptoms of a tramadol overdose may include drowsiness, shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, extreme weakness, cold or clammy skin, feeling light-headed, fainting, or coma. Tramadol may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Tramadol should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it.

Know that tapering is not easy and it is best done with the help of someone who can hold them and dose them to you. Do you have someone who lives with you who can help you?
You know that you are risking problems from dose dumping the entire 7.2 mg of fentanyl if you swallow the contents of that 100ug patch. I understand pain, but please, don't hurt yourself (again). Hate to sound trite, but have you tried simpler solutions -- ice, heat, soaking in a hot tub, elevation, listening to music, distractions, etc? Also, if you are sleepy, then sleep -- the best cure for pain, if only temporary. Best wishes.
Should I be extremely alarmed about these numbers? If so, what can I do to get the numbers where they need to be? Are there any natural remedies I can try? Thanks in advance!
All are welcome, we're very happy you are here!

These are all things you appear to need. You may find that by taking enough Ultram each day you could ‘kill 3 birds with 1 stone’ and get pain relief, an antidepressant effect and a reduction in anxiety from the one medication. This may be one reason your doctor is keen on you taking it.
What made it harder was that I live in small town that has only 4 pharmacy's but us addicts can be pretty resourceful. I am not sure when the withdrawals started but when they did I swear at the time I thought I was going to die. The stomach cramps the constant nausea, the constant diarrhea, the night sweats, hot, cold, cold but sweating all night, hot and shivering all night. Yawning, constant tiredness, the list goes on and on.
You must have really annoyed him if he is telling you to find another urologist. You can explain the problems you are having and ask what can be done to help you. What is a "joss"? If I was in your place and it is hurting so much, and I presume a hot bath makes it worse. So I would use a cold compress, even apply lots of cold yogurt every night before going to bed, drink plenty of water like you are doing.
Welcome Mighty Tramadol Warriors! We're really happy to see you! Come on in and enjoy the conversation and make yourself comfy. This is the place to be to get off and stay off Tramadol!
They assume that if the medication is not a controlled substance (and it very well should be as we will discuss), then it is not an opiate, it is not addictive and they can just give it like candy without any consequence to their patient.
Try not to worry too much, all the waiting on appts drives you bonkers. Maybe once you control the pain you can put it out of your mind easier while you wait.
