There IS help out there, you may have to go to more than one therapist to find someone you connect with. I will pray for you, and know that prayer can help, it is usually a persons LAST resort.
Only YOU can stop the merry-go-round. I hope you can and pray that you will get to the other side. Your disease is progressing--it's time.
So even if you are feeling better right now does not mean you are in the clear. Im quite worried for you because of the large single overdose in combination with alcohol as well. Alcohol destroys the enzymes that help metabolize aceto- so you are dooming yourself even further! Please, go to the ER and have them do bloodwork asap to see if your liver is failing!

As cirrhosis increases, you become more anemic and the platelets go down. Normal is 150. As can-do said, bleeding after an injury can be serious. You also have to watch for esophageal bleeding. Spontaneous bleeding can happen if your platelets are very low. So I once asked one of the hepatologists how low do platelets have to be to spontaneously bleed and whether he'd seen somebody spontaneously bleed.
I am a 24 year old female from Sydney Australia, and i just want to say that i can relate to everything that all of you have stated as symptoms of thalassemia Minor. When i was 12 years old i began getting these really intense migrains and i would loose my vision to the point that all i could see was like a white sheet over my eyes, i though i was going blind...
Day 22 Cold Turkey Tramadol ... I woke up HAPPY. I used to wake up happy all the time, before the Tramadol. Waking up happy is good. Then I tried to move. I had to use my hands and arms to get up out of bed. My body has been pushed as far as it will go. So after trying all my best tricks (aminos, coffee, food, vitamins, water) I finally stopped the struggle and called in sick for work. Tomorrow will be a busier day anyhow.
You can quit tramadol. You can stop. You can recover. I believe in you!
Deal with that first. Then stay on the internet and read all that you can. Call everyone you can find on-line. This means Doctors, support groups, medical aid programs, hospitals where trials are run. I started treatment a month ago. I'm getting $100,000 worth of drugs free. I found a compassionate Dr. who charges me half rate. He lets me get my bloodwork done directly at the lab of my choice. I found a lab who gives me 40% off because I have no insurance.
But for all of them, success depends upon the motivation of the addict-- not the addict's family members, who are usually motivated long before the addict is. The best you can do is make certain that you protect yourself and the children, and let the consequences fall where they should fall-- on the shoulders of the addict. Often an opiate addict will not seek treatment until losing everything, or almost everything.
Okay honey so what are you going to do now about your depression. Can you talk to your parents about this? Why are you feeling bad enough to kill yourself? For those of you out there that would doubt the pain and tend to judge me for my failed attempt to kill myself I only have one thing to tell you....Live in my shoes for just one bad month and then you can try to understand! I haven't slept more than 3 to 4 hours a night for over 4 yrears and sometimes I don't sleep for days on end unless I am heavily medicated. I am so tired that I can barely function on the best of days. The only meds I am currently taking Vicodin 7.
You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
He gave me Nexium pills for my stomach. He told me not to take any other pills except Tylenol or Ibuprofen for my headaches. He also draws blood to see if I had any stomach problems. I started taking my pills and my stomach felt better and I could sleep at night now. Since then until now I have felt different sensations inside my head, but being completely numb and empty. My head has felt completely numb for around two months. One day I felt like there were wires inside my head.
I never OD buy I know others who heave and if a person has OD more than once they assume they are trying too kill them selves. I hope you can be strong and leave. This is his battle. A tramadol overdose can be fatal. Overdose symptoms of a tramadol overdose may include drowsiness, shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, extreme weakness, cold or clammy skin, feeling light-headed, fainting, or coma. Tramadol may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Tramadol should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it.

Know that tapering is not easy and it is best done with the help of someone who can hold them and dose them to you. Do you have someone who lives with you who can help you?
You know that you are risking problems from dose dumping the entire 7.2 mg of fentanyl if you swallow the contents of that 100ug patch. I understand pain, but please, don't hurt yourself (again). Hate to sound trite, but have you tried simpler solutions -- ice, heat, soaking in a hot tub, elevation, listening to music, distractions, etc? Also, if you are sleepy, then sleep -- the best cure for pain, if only temporary. Best wishes.
Should I be extremely alarmed about these numbers? If so, what can I do to get the numbers where they need to be? Are there any natural remedies I can try? Thanks in advance!
All are welcome, we're very happy you are here!

They assume that if the medication is not a controlled substance (and it very well should be as we will discuss), then it is not an opiate, it is not addictive and they can just give it like candy without any consequence to their patient.

These are all things you appear to need. You may find that by taking enough Ultram each day you could ‘kill 3 birds with 1 stone’ and get pain relief, an antidepressant effect and a reduction in anxiety from the one medication. This may be one reason your doctor is keen on you taking it.
