Anyone know if benadryl is safe to take? My allergies are crazy right now and the zyrtec alone isn't enough. Normally I would take a benadryl to help but I never asked if that was ok during pregnancy.

If you have an allergist call and all them. I believe you can take ceterizine it is the generic of zyrtec i believe and it's class b. Or over the counter chlortrymeton(spelling) id what my OB suggested for my allergies when they were driving me nuts.

I don't know if you'll get the full benefits, but if they're too strong for you, then I don't see why you can't just use a pill splitter and cut tablets in half. I had to ask for a lower dosage for my Benadryl myself for the same reason. This is also what I read that I needed to do with kidney function issues.
