Common Questions and Answers about Can i take zyrtec and nasonex

zyrtec

Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar m tn I just got back from running with my dog, and my right nostril is like really swollen on the inside and it hurts whenever I sniff. How can I cure this, as it's making a runny nose and it hurts really bad on the inside.
3652468 tn?1367020305 So juss wait for it, but u might also not get sick, evef pregnancy is dif. And I have allergies rediculously! Im 18wks today, and still have them, I take Zyrtec and Tylenol w//o caffeine in it.
Avatar f tn You can take zyrtec, i used it through three pregnancies, doc okayed it, kids are healthy.
Avatar m tn In the past I have taken Zyrtec, Claritin, and Xyzal....Zyrtec seems to work best for me. You can get both Zyrtec and Claritin over the counter, and both come in a generic form (I take the generic form of Zyrtec). This helped my allergies tremendously, I would recommend taking one daily while your symptoms are in full-force, and then backing off to just whenever it's needed when your symptoms settle down.
460830 tn?1347219306 ), but I never have had any problem with taking a normal dose of Zyrtec...if I go ahead and take a Zyrtec, and it turns out that I did already take one, would it do any harm?
Avatar m tn Not saying you have this....but I had a sore throat for 2 years and saw 2 hospitals and 3 doctors til the Ear Nose and Throat doc. Turns out he slid a little tube w/ camera down my throat (took just 2 min)and it was a burned up vocal chord from reflux! Now take med and it's GONE!
1402935 tn?1281958699 My sinus mucus swelled up so bad i could hardly breath and my face turned bright red. I did not take it again after that. I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? 1080032 tn?1326414386 I can barely breathe, my eyes are watering, my mouth is itchy and I wake up sneezing every night! Is it safe to take Claritin or Zyrtec? I will be 25 weeks on Tuesday.
Avatar n tn This past Sunday I cleaned out a closet in my hall and by that night I was nasally congested, headache, drip in the throat, and ran fever. I take twice daily, Zyrtec D and spray my nose before I go to bed with Nasonex. The usually treatment to get me out of this, is a vitamin/steroid shot the doctor gives me, antibotics, and 10 day treatment of steroids to get me relief. Have you found anything that works besides prescription drugs? Any help is welcome. Thank you.

Avatar n tn Hello I'm a 17 year old male, I've been having a warm feeling in my lower left leg, mostly in my left foot. I've also had this feeling on my upper left chest as well as in my ears, it feels like that part of my body is being soaked in warm water, my doctor didn't pay much attention to this and was clueless. I'm kind of freaked out at the moment seeing this has been going on for weeks and feels very unnatural, could a blood clot cause this? and any ideas?
Avatar f tn Also sometimes they will just cough to clear there throat, but every child is different our son was born with esophageal atresia down syndrome and tracheomalacia and bronchomalacia and laryngomalacia, so i can relate. I have a web site at kaylapearson.com.
Avatar f tn I was taking Zyrtec and Nasonex spray, but recently stopped when I discovered I was preggo. I just got benadryl, gunna give it a shot tonight. Would rather take something that won't make me drowsy though.
519035 tn?1348275773 Armour Candida Free probiotic Singulair vitamin/mineral combo with antioxidants and extras Calcium/magnesium/vit D B complex B12 shots (monthly) Adrenal adaptogen Vit C Sometimes when I remember Immune and thymus support glandular mix CoQ10 It gets really hard to fit everything in when you have to take thyroid meds 2 X per day and keep it apart from vitamins.....really hard! :) :) I find I don't take everything daily like I should because it has to be on time and spaced properly.
Avatar f tn t take Zyrtec (same as Reactine here, I think) or anything with steroids (both of them seriously aggravate my depression...I figured this out in my search for new allergy meds in the past year or so.... go figure). After the scare with Zyrtec I have been afraid to try any other new allergy meds...but I know Allegra is OTC here so I may try that cautiously if all else fails. For now, the two Claritin a day are making things tolerable, as far as the inhalant allergies go.
Avatar n tn and was discussed earlier, can be controlled with Valtrex. 1 pill a day. It has been 60 days and I am vertigo FREE!!! No side effects AT ALL from the Valtrex. This discussion is related to Vertigo from allergies question.
Avatar f tn I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, eardrainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant.
Avatar f tn So this is my first pregnancy and I'm very early in , about 6 weeks . I haven't been to a Dr yet due to fact my health insurance is still being reviewed . However I have bad allergies and stopped my meds once I found out I was pregnant and now I'm developing a very bad sinus infection. Is there anything I can take ? I've been reading a lot about this and it seems there isn't . Some say Tylenol sinus is ok but others say no . Any help would be great .
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
Avatar m tn I was looking online and found this site, read something about steroids all that so i asked. After reading your comments i think i can be assured and forget about it. Thank you.
Avatar m tn t know right now I take both zyrtec and singulair in the evening. I think I will also try the Mucinex to see if that helps. I do get some relief from taking Tussionex cough syrup. Kind of strange but opiates tend to thin the mucus production and it seems to numb my throat where I don't feel the PND or whatever it might be.
Avatar f tn I have noticed before i started having problems with sinus pressure that i would get a little stuffy in the evening if i sat in chair..as long as i was up and about that would not occure...but as soon as i sat in a lounge chair or laid down especially the blocking of my nose would start....before sinuse sergery 2 years ago..the sinus blocking started on one side or the other of my nose at night ..depending on which side i was laying on....
216239 tn?1233257361 I take zyrtec and it is available otc now. I took this during my pregnancy w/ my son and now with ds #2 i am taking it as well. I have asthma and this has kept my allergies under control and my asthma has been pretty good too. benadryl makes me tired and does nothing for me. I need something that i can take everyday.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar f tn This can cause drainage and can be quite annoying to some. This gets worse with different temperatures, certain foods, increased activity or generally anything that increases blood flow to the area. One therapy that sometimes works for this condition is a nasal inhaled steroid which temporarily decreases the inflammation, but does not cure anything. You might discuss this safe option with his doctor.
