zocor

I get the flu for the first time in 8 years that wipes me out. I recover but have no energy. I just turned 50 (missed my own birthday party because of the flu) so maybe it takes longer to recover now. 2 weeks later, still no energy. Have my yearly check up. Gained 5 lbs but everything is good. Blood tests are normal. Still tired and now having headaches and neck pain. month later back to dr with headaches and tell her about fatigue. Diagnosis: allergies and sinus infection.
This is a common combination of medications. Typically coumadin should be taken at night. Digoxin is usually taken in the morning. Toprol xl is typically taken in the morning Vasotec should be taken twelve hours apart. Lasix should be taken twelve 12 hours apart, but I wouldn't take teh lasix too close to bed time as it will probably wake him up several times at night to go to the bathroom.
As you may have noticed by now, the focus of this forum is cardiovascular disease(CVD) prevention. The statistics speak for themselves. CVD is the leading cause of death in the US and worldwide. Although we have made substantial progress in the development of medications to combat the causes of CVD like high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes; the rapid proliferation of these diseases virtually negates and medical benefit. In other words, we are treating the consequences, not the cause.
Once I stopped the Valerian Root the PVC's went way down. Yet I can now take prescription BP meds and Zocor both for the last four yrs and have absolutely no side effects whatsoever.
It also seems like this problem has decreased slightly in the past couple days, but I cannot be sure. For now, it seems the best I can do is just not let it bother me. Sometimes that is easy, and sometimes not so much. Of course, if there are any more developments I will post them as well.
My main strategy is to control lipids to the extreme, control bp, and exercise daily. I take the summers off and try to climb 10,000' per week. In the winters, I try to walk 10,000 steps per day (1.5 hrs) with 10% of it uphill. On the weekends I hike or back country ski at least 1 day. After 4 years, I would say that I have gained on the disease a bit.
I will reduce frequency of my blood monitoring to once every other day and I will notify my doctor. What's the best time in the day to take the reading?
By mid-December, I started developing numbness in my arms and hands that would wake me several times during the night. I would awake in the morning with pain and stiffness in my fingers. After six months or so, I mentioned this to my doctor. Although "unusual," he said to stop the Lipitor. The numbness stopped immediately. After a month or so, I started on Zocor. It has now been six weeks and the numbness has started again. I see a connection!
I didn't take Zocor last night, and this morning I noticed about a 75% improvement in my symptoms. Is anyone else familiar with this?
Follow Mediterranean diet 3. Follow low salt diet. (Do I really need to do this? The other stuff I can do but this would be difficult for me.) 4. Fish oil 600 mg morning and evening 5. Vitamin supplement each day 6. Glass of wine at least every other day. Thank for reading my posting.

The first time I felt it was yesterday in the car, and I thought it was just the heat. And then this morning I thought it was my UGGs. Can someone pls let me know what their dr said. I too sit for long periods of time at my desk. Maybe it is the way I sit, or my chair.
Last night as I tried to go to sleep the strong sooty, smoky smell was at it's worst. I was pottering in the kitchen this morning when I realised I didn't have the awful smell any more!! The smell has returned briefly a couple of times and I have used the salt pipe for a few minutes. I am very hopeful now that it will work permanently in time.
He said that I should not take that amount but 1200 per day would be great for my heart.
As advised by you on this forum recently, I got in touch with Hepatitiestechnologies through my friend in USA(I live in Nigeria) and got the drugs(all 4 of them) I received it 3 days ago and I have started using it already, albeit started with a low dose of 1 per meal, morning and night daily and graduating to higher doses. Now, pls enlighten me on these drugs. My latest USS shows enlarged liver, but normal architecture and others.
Here's an update on my experience: I went to a doctor who is a friend of mine after I had told him about the wet, warm senstations. After a cursory exam, he asked me if I took any chlorestral medicine, I told him I take Pravachol, but only when I can afford it...and I buy it in Mexico. I told him I take it every other day to "stretch it out". He asked when the sensations started...and coincidently enough, they started about the same time I started taking the Pravachol again.
However, I can tell you that if I take calcium supplements 2,000 mg daily - two 500 mg pills once in the evening and once in the morning per day that they are greatly reduced. I can always tell if I didn't take my calcium because I will start getting the charlie horses worse. I'm also on high blood pressure medication. There is one more thing I want to mention. After I started taking high blood pressure mediation, the charlie horses got worse. They started when I was a teenager.
I went to the Costco site, where you can look up any drug, and get its online price. It says that the in-store prices are consistent with the online prices. I was appalled. Just to give you one example from my own experience, I had to use the drug, Compazine, which helps prevent nausea in chemo patients. I used the generic equivalent, which cost $54.99 for 60 pills at CVS. I checked the price at Costco, and I could have bought 100 pills for $19.89. For 145 of my pain pills, I paid $72.
When I tried to lower the dose or stop I would get this clicking in my brain. It was so bad I had to take cymbalta just to move. I had to wean off very slowly, finally down to opening the caps and taking about 10 of the little beads in the end. After stopping I had the brain zaps for 3 months. I have many friends thru networking that have gone thru the same problem with this drug. My doctor who is chief of staff at a major hospital will not even prescribe this medication any more.
Much like the majority of people in britain. I hate the thought of having a drink at home, sometimes I can go several weekends without drinking, infact, i would say that out of my group of friends I probably drink the least. The only problem I have is my irrational thoughts on symptoms like palpitations much like all of you.
I can't believe it! I have had this for years. I can barely stand to touch the skin in those areas...the best description I have found was to say it felt like a burn but the skin looks normal in appearance. Even my clothing brushing against it hurts. The difference is that I only have it on my lower extremities. Usually on my upper thigh but recently on my hip. It usually lasts about 3 days and then disappears. It happens every few months.
I just realized this morning that I am weak and so fatigied and probably a few other side affects are being caused by the Lipitor they put me on....I told the DR i didnt want to take them but couldnt remember why but I remembered this morming. I went thru this before and i stopped them,,,,,,i dont know what they can do but this is not good.
My doctor has me on 30mg of Coreg (time release) that I take once in the morning. My fatigue has increased and my libido has dropped to zero. I have also gained 30 pounds since my quintuple CABG back in September 2007. I am also on Zocor, Aspirin and Niaspam. Can Coreg cause any of these symptoms? Also, my HDL has not improved since my surgery. I'm stuck in the high 20's. I feel a lack of motivation and rarely exercise. I'm worried about the HDL.
it started getting harder to get my eyes in focus i have 4 eye floaters and i used to only have one and i get minor headaches in the back of my head and my jaw started feeling like someone was sitting on it and on top of this i got sick like 1 month and a week ago with a sinus and throat infection which like 3 days before i got sick i started getting neck pain (the neck pain's the worse when I lift my head up looking down doesn't feel bad at all in fact it relieves some of the pressure) and my
One morning a month ago I was raking apples under the tree, and within five minutes, I began breathing and sweating hard, walking very slowly, and could not go on for another second. I was afraid I would pass out outside, so went inside, laid down on the floor until breathing under control. My dog stood by, very worried about me. In the mirror, my lips were blue and skin above lips was white. I now have continuous pain in my chest on left side.
What is your cholesterol in American numbers do you know? Mine was 310. Tryglicerides were o.k. LDL was very high. The pain in the neck will last about 2-4 weeks AFTER you stop the Zocor (Simvastatin). I now take the 20mg Zocor "every other day" (haven't seen the doctor yet, just do this on my own) Am afraid of what the cholesterol will be this time because I stopped taking the Zocor for one month.
Mevacor is right stating it has been shown that it prevents heart attacks as it was shown to prevent heart attacks in a well designed prospective large trial. Some of the other statin medications can not make the same claims as they have only been tested in safety or soft endpoint trials designed to market the medication. These types of trials show that the medication lowers lipids or other markers, but are not powered to show the primary mortality endpoints.
I am dignosised as schizoaffective disorder and I am on alot of meds both medically and psychiatric wise I got a message from my psychtirst to call him tomorrow to see what can be done for my excessive daytime sleepiness I am so tired every day and evening that I usually am lucky if I stay up till 8p.m. I usually fall asleep before then and don't wake up until 5-6a.m. in the morning these are the meds I take 1 300mg. i too have had every kind of test and am 'normal' although all sorts of things show up on holter monitors - and my doc says just forget about it. after i was prescribed atenolol 25 mg (i take half in the morning half at night in an effort to stop the night wake ups) is when the pvc's started. i have normal really low blood pressure so sometimes i get dizzy even without atenolol....oh well. looks like all of us are in the same boat, and more than one doc says forget about it.
This means you cannot drink grapefruit juice in the morning and take your medications later in the day to stop possible medicine interactions. Return to top Do all medicines interact with grapefruit? Only some medicines interact with grapefruit.
