Avatar m tn I normally ask my pharmacist what i can take with what. Including vitamins and herbs or otc. I have found they are way more knowledgeable than even Dr. But always consult medical.
Avatar m tn I say taper off your antidepresant. I was told to stop taking my antidepressant because I may get an overdose of seretonin. Otherwise know as Seritonin Syndrome. I stopped CT and have been tapering off tramadol for 2 weeks. I would not recommend to anyone to stop their antidepressant CT. Here's what an article said about stopping an antidepressant suddenly. "If you decide to stop taking antidepressants, it’s essential to taper off slowly.
1081265 tn?1256138365 What can I do to help ease the withdrawls i am having from months of Tramadol abuse? I am miserable. Physically and mentally. I began taking this medication for headaches but I got addicted to it because it put me in a good mood and gave me a sense of control. I couldn't sleep without it. I have stopped and my doctor will not give me anymore to help wean me off of it. I feel like my insides are jumping. My legs and arms are sooooooo restless and I can NOT lay still.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your response. I quit the tramadol immediately after having a reaction of confusion and feeling off. I do feel much better, thank you. I will be bringing this up to my physician at my next appointment in a couple weeks. He did, however, explain this to me that an interaction could occu & to seek medical attention immediately. However, and I am extremely upset about this, the pharmacist never mentioned a word and I have been using the same pharm for years.
Avatar m tn Does Tramadol have as much SSRI in it as Zoloft? Does 100mg of Tramadol have as much SSRI as say 50mg of Zoloft? I was taking Tramadol while I was going through Zoloft withdrawal and I'm just wondering if I stunted the healing process of my Zoloft withdrawal. My body and mind still don't feel 100% since quitting Zoloft, but it's definitely getting better.

475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
Avatar f tn Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.
Avatar f tn I have horrible depression and anxiety that causes mood swings, suicidal thoughts and intense anger. Its not bipolar since its not manic and doesn't go up or down.I used to be a heavy pot smoker which kept it under control. Well I smoked after my first son was born and noticed I got heavily addicted to it. (Bitchy without it and fiending it constantly) My doctor prescribed zoloft but I didn't feel any different and didn't change my mood at all.
Avatar f tn My depression is horrible and I think I shoudl at least take it slower with cutting out the Tramadol. I took two tonight - as I normally would have in the afternoon and felt like a normal person. Slow is going to have to do it as there is no reason to bring on a major depression. I was starting to feel suicidal and panicked that there would be no other way out for me. Just hafe to take it slower.
Avatar f tn could any of you tell me how long I should be off of tramadol before j can safely take Zoloft please. I'm a mom of a new baby and want to be safe and not hurt myself or him since I'm nursing.
689267 tn?1235241749 I want to get off zoloft too, but want to wait until I have been off tram longer. (Been on zoloft 7 years) I take a low dose of zoloft- 50 mgs. 1x day. I have read a few long articles on SAM-e, but they just say to check with your dr. I dont want to do that cause he isnt gonna know. He may pretend to, but he is not going to really know. i am on day 3 of w/d from tram and i desperately need something for my horrible mood swings and depression.
Avatar m tn m passing to a similar problem, I want to get rid of the TRAMADOL. I used to take 400 mg daily now I just do the half and starting to have like anxiety attacks by night, I'd like to know how much did you use to do and what did you do to pass the worse.
Avatar n tn m going to give the tramadol a try to see if I can make it through the day with just one or 2 vicodin - alternating doses with the tramadol. Wish me luck. If I find that I'm unable to get out of bed, I'll be on here begging for encouragement. :) Bless you all. It's liberating to discuss this with other people who get it. Thank you. Can't say it enough.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the encoragment. I actually did have a seizure while at work one day about 2 months ago. I knew something was wrong because i was very shaky and physically "off" for a couple days before. I was taking alot of pills the days leading up to it. As far as everyone knows, I passed out, and don't know why. That really scared me. I have taken Vicodin whenever I can get it as well, but that is not very often. Im able to buy Tramadol online so it is easy to get.
Avatar n tn I take zoloft and ultram on a daily bsbis. Is there any concern with bad interactions? so far I feel none.
Avatar f tn Hello and Welcome, I disagree somewhat BluCrystal, I think you can see there is a problem with taking these pills. I was addicted to trams and it was hell going through withdrawals. Not only does it have a weak pain killing effect but also an SNRI (anti-depression) properties. You should talk to your doctor about your depression and anxiety. As the trams were not prescribed to you I would suggest they are not recommended for what pain you have.
Avatar f tn Is it possible that I will be able to quit my addiction to Norco ( about 10 a day) and be able to still work and take care of my kids, or should I wait until I find some time that I can take time off, maybe send my kids to a family memebers? has anyone ever continued with thier normal life threw the withdrawals and detox procedure and what should i excpect?
Avatar n tn Oh dear, I don't know what else to say. I do wish you the best, though. And remember, there are a TON of Dr.'s out there that still don't know about the horrible issues associated with Tramadol. I'm just sharing my experience in the hopes you won't make the same mistake I did with this med. In my book, it's the worst to get off of.. the AD component to this med makes withdrawal 100 times worse.
Avatar f tn I have taken Tramadol for pain and have experienced some side effects and taken Zoloft along with it. I still take Zoloft but added Magnesium Citrate "Calm" to my daily routine. It is called the miracle mineral. Ask doctor!! Look up Dr. Carolyn Dean on the net and she will tell you ALL ABOUT this amazing mineral we are lacking so greatly in our diets. It has helped me so much!!!
544292 tn?1268882668 Hi Tramadol Warriors, Many people have come here for many years, giving support and getting support. Because I still believe that Tramadol is unique in it's ... terror and torture of humans, this thread continues. The people who can understand what you are going thru are the people who have kicked it and there's people here who come back to lend a hand. You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
Avatar f tn hi i was on the ultram and yes it did work without that drugged up feeling, however to my luck because of zoloft i was told could not take it as it can cause seizures, i had taken it for about a year and had no seizures, but you know how the docs are. i wish i could still take it for pain (wish i did not have to take any pills), but for me i could not work with the type of pain i have, and the ultram was like a miracle for me...make sure you tell doc about ALL medications that you take..
