can i take tramadol with lexapro

i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.

I hope Madtram and Tramahater see this. They can reassure you. I can tell you that what you feel right now is normal. I know you take Lexapro but are you aware that Tramadol also contains an antidepressant component? It's similar to Effexor. This COULD be part of the problem now. I'd get in to see your doctor and have a discussion about this. You might need some medication adjustment.

Tramadol was really hard to kick because it helped with depression as well but I knew I needed to stop. I am so glad that I no longer am a slave to it where I panicked if I didn't have enough it's the worst drug out there!!

Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.

I worry if I don't take an antidepressant I may go back to tramadol. can't take trams and AD together. I do have a problem with depression. I make myself excersise every day plus take vitamins, eat healthy. I'm beginning to wonder if the tramadol ate my brain or something. And thank you, you guys are great. I wouldn't be over 100 days free from tamadol if not for this forum and the ppl here.

ok starting in the morning i have atenolol 50mg twice a day. i have 90 tramadol 2 refills. i have lexapro. i have xanax .50mg and i got me immodium and phenergan. now call the shots for me. i will keep you posted is this good to have while cold turkey off of oxy's 3-4 a day???? i mean will this ease it some today i took nap and cut back sweating something fierce already yuck.......

m wondering what people have experienced with anything like this? I want to be done with it all, but know in my mind that when I take the tramadol, even just one pill, I feel great, just myself! These past 4 days I have not. I have 2 kids and one on the way. My wife is extremely supportive. I've asked the doctor for a script so I can come off slowly, but I'm not so sure that is the answer at this point, considering its been 4 days now.

m going to give the tramadol a try to see if I can make it through the day with just one or 2 vicodin - alternating doses with the tramadol. Wish me luck. No, I stopped taking the tramadol and it disappeared. The psychiatrist said with the tramadol and the lexapro it was a bad mixture.

I take Tramadol, I have just looked at the info sheet that comes with them and there is no mention of dilation as a side effect. It does mention constriction (getting smaller) of the pupil, I get this. Check your info sheet as a double check. I would deffinetly call your doctor!

If you don't want to use "addicted" at first, then you could say something like...."I can't take tramadol anymore. I became tolerant and dependent and decided not to take them again."
