Common Questions and Answers about Can i take singulair in the morning

singulair

Avatar f tn No, I have never had pain there. The only pain I ever get from the AIH is upper shoulder pain like arthritis which is caused by the aih I believe. But I never suffer from caffeine nor my meds, I don't touch alcohol though because it would be very bad for me.
4178478 tn?1350667364 If you have an allergist call and all them. I believe you can take ceterizine it is the generic of zyrtec i believe and it's class b. Or over the counter chlortrymeton(spelling) id what my OB suggested for my allergies when they were driving me nuts.
460830 tn?1347219306 What was the problem with Singulair a while back? I heard something about it, but I never heard what the problem was with it.
920032 tn?1550680156 He prescribed me with the symbicort turbuhaler and I have one puff off this once a day and in the past 2 months that I have been on it, I have pretty much forgotten that I am asthmatic, even through the extreme cold in the last couple of weeks. By this time of the year I have normally suffered through Bronchitis at least twice, I am still waiting for my first one this year...
Avatar f tn I have an appointment in 2 weeks with my primary doctor, but I was prescribed these medications by a different doctor who was filling in... albuterol (the emergency inhaler), Singulair (I take 10mg once every night), and one puff twice a day of Dulera with a chamber (I always rinse afterwards). It seems like a lot of meds. I’ve been on Singulair and albuterol for a few weeks, and I’ve been taking Dulera for about a week now.
Avatar m tn It causes asthma (Arizona Cypress, Mesquite and Palo Verde are the culprits.) Singulair has helped me very successfully in the past. However, I also take a very low dose blood pressure medication (Lisinopril 20mg). I do not have health insurance and have an alternative source for medications. Would it be advisable for me to purchase Singulair for 3 months to get me through those three months next year. This year was a bit difficult without it.
Avatar f tn i take flovent its only 110 mcgs i take to puffs morning and night i also take singuair but it doesnt seem to do anything. thank you for your help ill have to tell my docter about them.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Singulair for a few months now and I haven't noticed any negative side effect. I take it along with a daily inhaler for my asthma and it really has helped me a lot.
1154802 tn?1266485720 I also use Symbicort and was using my inhaler quite a bit...every night and 1-3 times during the day. I started taking Singulair a month ago and I don't use my inhaler nearly as much anymore. I've used it 3 times at night in the past month (2 of the times I forgot to take Singulair) and a few random times during the day/evening. Just a thought if you don't already take it and you have allergy issues. Take care.
Avatar f tn I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, eardrainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant.
Avatar n tn I have looked up the side effects of both Singulair and Advair. It seems that both can cause skin issues. I just know that he's been using the Advair all along with no problems but once he started the Singulair the itching returned. Now I will have to say that the past two days have been better. Maybe his body needed to adjust? Dunno.
Avatar n tn re just very dry. I also have dry mouth and very mild urinary retention in the morning (takes long to urinate in the morning), which I assume are side effects from my overdosing on medications. So, my question is, would it be worth it to go see an allergist or do I have to suffer until the end of allergy season? I feel like I have tried all classes of medications available.
640719 tn?1277140030 m winging this because my new Doctor that treated me in the hospital died a month ago and I finally felt I had found a doctor with a plan and trusted him to keep me from getting so sick again. I only get the asthma when I get a lung infection so I haven't had much experience with it myself. I am going to a new pulmonary doctor next month. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned if I'm experiencing hayfever with singulair I don't want my asthma to start? Anyone know????
Avatar n tn Hello, AidanTiarra! Thanks for your comment! I hadn't really thought of anything like this and that would TOTALLY make sense especially since some days seem worse than others. I have an appointment for both of my sons with the allergist in July and I will DEFENITELY be bringing this up. I guess the reason I didn't really think it was something like that is because it is, most of the time, only in the mornings.
Avatar m tn he began to have a facial tic, dilated pupils and hallucinations. i finally got the message and discontinued the singulair after researching the drug on the internet. after 3 weeks, he was like a different child. he was happier and healthier. his fears, anxiety and all the other side effects just disappeared. this drug can have devastating effects and be undetected by parents. children are unable to express the way the drug is making them feel.
Avatar f tn Many, many health problems actually originate in the Gastrointestinal tract (you can look that concept up on-line) - be it decreased stomach acids, decreased enzymes to break up the food, leaving the food to ferment in the gut, leaky gut syndrome, etc. It would take a long note to get into all the possibilities. And if the diet helps (or some other food alteration helps) always keep inhalers on hand just in case. If I'm of no help, I pray that someone will be! Good luck!
370736 tn?1247242917 in May ( I had a m/c) I was taking singulair and albuterol inhaler. I was told by my general practioner not to take Advair b/c of the steroids in it. Recently I went to see a genetic counselor and he said that I should stop taking the singulair b/c their hasn't been a lot of studies done on the effects it has on preg. women. He said I should take Advair instead.
Avatar f tn I have always had difficulty breathing in high humidity. My doctor told me that I am most likely allergic to mold, and the humidity is causing this to be worse. I have been prescribed an albuterol inhaler, and usually only have to use it about 3 weeks out of the year. Otherwise, I take Singulair year round. This year the humidity is especially high. I have had trouble breathing for over a month now.
Avatar n tn No one can figure out what it is. I have taken everything from Benadryl, Xyzal, Zrytec, Singulair, Claritin, and Hydroxyzine. Nothing has worked. They have done blood work for lupus and many other blood tests. All came back negative. They have started taking me off one drug at a time, now I am only on Xyzal, Singulair and 2 Hydroxyzine HCL 25 daily. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do or suggest what my doctor may need to test for. The only known allergy I have is fish.
1580703 tn?1651904887 It relaxes and opens the air passages in the lungs. It is the caffeine that makes this work. In the olden days that what people gave their children with asthma. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Call your doctor ASAP to make adjustments in your treatment. I have never heard of twitching with Singulair, but it is a side effect of other asthma meds. Be sure to let your doctor know that you have stopped taking Singulair this week and watch for signs of uncontrolled asthma - increased use of inhaler, coughing, sighing... There are a lot of subtle signs that people miss. You do need to be off the med, but be careful. Take care and I am glad you are feeling better.
Avatar n tn Which singulair are you taking? The child's one or the adult? The child's one has artificial sweetener so that could be causing your head tremors. The adult one has lactose monohyrate if you react to milk that could also be an issue.

Avatar n tn I have been under good control until I was recently diagnosed with an eye conditon called central serous retinopathy. I was told by the retinal specialist that I can take no form of prednisone unless it is a life threatening issue because it could worsen the eye condition. Now I am having problems with my asthma since I have been off the Advair.Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I take singulair and doxepin perscribed by my allergist to control hives. I sometimes breakout with red pimple sores that hurt. A medical friend said the sores look like spider bites, but I'm sure they aren't. Can either singulair or doxepincause this reaction, and if so, what can I do for the sores short of not taking the medicine. Benidryl and oether similar medicines do not control my hives.
Avatar n tn I went and seen a doctor about this and was told I have allergies, I was perscribed the generic for singulair for 10 days, and zyrtec for about 2 weeks to see if I got better. I opted to take the medicine at night (tonight)...and i can't sleep and my throat is so dry even after water. I really dis like medicine...I get anxious...what are some other options to feel better?... HELP!
