can i take prevacid and zantac together

I'm 38 weeks now, and I have been taking previcid & zantac the entire pregnancy. I have GERD and other GI issues prepregnancy anyway. One thing I did find our early in in my pregnancy was that I have a gluten intolerance! This is pregnancy #6 (child #5) n it wasn't till about 9-10 weeks in that I realized I just can't have any gluten! I was really sick n it crazy tummy pain, vomiting n everything ...so I would maybe keep an eye in it for you too...who knows.

Its still to early for me to tell if that was the culprit because my Palps have a mind of their own and can last as long as a week at times. For now though I have stopped the Prevacid to see if that helps. I also take fish oil which I've heard can help palps but I've also read that they can worsen them, who knows? Keep us posted!

I've raised my head at night. I haven't tried prevacid or prilosec. My doc prescribed me zantac in august so I've continued using it. I may try one of those to see if I get any relief because the zantac really isn't working.

Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

I took/take Prevacid for 6 weeks and also have terrible side effects from it. Anxiety gone through the roof, muscle twitching in my throat, depression beyond believe. I was supposed to take 30 mg a day but because I had a really bad swallowing problem (turned out those were actually anxiety crampings of my throat) I took a few times 60 mg a day (morning and evening a 30 mg).

I feel better when I exercise. I tried hawthorn berry and it seemed to take them away for a weekend but then I had a cup of coffee and everything went wacky again. I would love any suggestions, links to blogs about this subject, pranayama techniques that might be helpful. School me please!

Is it safe to take 60mg of prevacid in the morning and 20 mg of prilosec in the evening?

s really bad and none of those help you can see if your doctor is ok with something like prevacid or prilosec.

I take tums and just started some zantac. The zantac is a LIFESAVER!

Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.

s twice a day, and gave me a number to follow up with a Pediatric GI, and is going to prescribe me a PPI! I begged my family doc for a PPI and he refused. So Prevacid it is, but I of course need to wait a few days. Who do I believe in this situation? Each hospital gave me 2 different explanations. Im scared my son Might still have an Ileus, but maybe he doesnt. Im confused, and I dont know what I should do. Any Advice would be helpful. Also has anyone used Enfamil A.R.?

I will talk to home about Prevacid and zantac. Oh and I can relate to feeling heavy at times too. Mostly when I'm in my feet for to long that's when I feel like an anchor to the ground lol.

s what I meant. I meant Prevacid. Mine was put on Zantac first and was then switched to Prevacid and that was better. The Zantac only helped for like a couple of weeks and then went right back. Well, if they have tried all of that, then maybe a GI specialist is the route to go. It sounds like your doc has tried everything. And maybe your doc is right. Maybe when Julian starts solids, it will help. I hope so.....for both your sake. I know it's hard....Just hang in there.

Now there is just no room for my stomach, so he had me switch to prevacid, and I eat bland foods to keep it under control. I never recommend taking anything without asking, though. That way your doctor can explain the risks if there are any.

My doctor suggested Zantac 150 twice a day because tums didn't help whatsoever.. and trust me I suffered when i didn't take it! My little man was born may 5th and i haven't had to take anything for heartburn since. It'll get worse but should get way better if not disappear after you have your baby. Hang in there it's miserable.

Yes Bill, I have been taking the Prevacid 30 mg 2 X a day, and has stopped working for me. I have been on a lot of different ones over the years, I will let you know what he puts me on this time.

I have vagus nerve damage- non diabetic gastroparesis. I have extreme acid production. This past year the acid has gotten worse at night. I get up every two or three hours because my stomach feels like it's on fire. I currently take 2 prevacid in the am and two at night. I take an extra strength zantac when I get up at midnight. The relief lasts about two hours then I wake again with my stomach burning so carafate. The carafate helps sometimes but not always.

I am now on Metformin ER (which has less side affects) and with it I take a zantac. I have had no afib. Either this is a miracle or GERD causes afib. I know how you are suffering with afib and this could be the cause for many people (although not all).
