Common Questions and Answers about Can i take phentermine with paxil

phentermine

Hello Dana: I can only say that when I came off Paxil it was like a nightmare. I did the coming off slowly but my head did not feel like it belonged to me any longer. I then did something (instinctively) and that was take Flora brand - St. John's Wort 420 mg to come off it. I don't recommend this, but it worked for me. I stayed on it for 6 months while coming off and it seemed to even me out, pad the landing as I like to say.
Im currently doing the Insanity dvd workouts 6 days a week(45-55min), they also say people lose an average of 20-30lbs with their 60 day workout program and I havent lost weight with that either (im on day 40), I need help! Anyone know what could be wrong with me or any tips on what I can do different??
I've been fit my whole life, work out every day for 25 years, run, swim, lift weights, but, once on the paxil my weight started to climb no matter what I did with diet or exercise. Simply put, I need help. I'm pushing the envelope from time to time: phentermine, rimonobant via europe, everything and anything to cut weight. nothing works. I even went on a steroid web site to see if any advice could solve the problem.
Please reply if you know anything i am rather desperate to start taking reductil so i can lose weight and start living again!
I CAN'[T EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW I FEEL, I HAVE ZAPPING ELECTRIC SHOCK FEELINGS THROUGHOUT MY WHOLE BODY, I AM VERY DEPRESSED AND START CRYING A THE DROP OF A HAT, I FEEL HORRIBLE. HOW CAN I FEEL BETTER? WHAT SHOULD I DO? I CALLED MY DOCTOR AND HE SAID I NEED TO GO IN AND SEE HIM IF I AM FEELING LIKE THAT. SHOULD I HAVE JUST STOPPED TAKING THE ZOLOFT AFTER BEING ON IT FOR 3 YEARS AND 150MG? PLEASE TRY TO HELP ME? I CAN'T TAKE THESE ELECTRIC SHOCK FEELINGS!!!
as a long time drug addict I can not take anything.. I mean even if it did not give me a high. just a deadness would do as long as it was something ya know. I once was took meds that was meant for a mentally challenged person in a foster home and went on the longest scariest trip I have ever been.. see it could be anything with some drug addicts.. I'm very sorry you are experiencing this as it is very sad when someone you are vested in continues the destruction..
I started noticecing it all started around one year and a half ago when i went to a weight loss clinic and i was prescribed with phentermine i did notice it started 2 months after my first visit but they have been getting worst i have gone to the doctor and i have had my pressure checked and it has been low but my doctor just tells me to go another day and it is fine.

Did you ask your doctor about taking Phen with your BB? Ask your doctor or pharmacist.. I would never take any type of amphetamine with an arrhythmia; all kinds of things could happen. I think that's what started my major problems with my NSVT runs that made my heart stop.
Hi.. Pocha. I am the same way with phentermine. I take the same. They are not as strong as they used to be. I took them 3-4 yrs ago and had crazy energy and no appetite! I too get irritated and just a "blah" feeling. I hope it gets better... I also do the HCG shots.
But, to address the weight question, since you aren't breastfeeding you can take phentermine or start on the hcg program. I would ask about this at your post-partum check-up. Do you have that when your baby is 6 weeks old? Give yourself a break, too! The phentermine will make you a little wired and I am not sure I would want to take it so soon after giving birth. Especially if your baby is not sleeping through the night.
I went off and haven't been on anything else since, which med works the best and which causes the least weight gain. I just can't cope with the weight anymore!!! I would like to take phentermine whilst on an antidepressant but afraid they might not mix well. I am also on lisinopril 10 12.
So far I've lost 30 pounds. I started taking phentermine 37.5 with it about 3 months ago. The Welbutrin did pretty good with controlling my hunger but the phentermine really helped me loose the weight. I have to force myself to eat. It caused me to be pretty jittery at first but after a couple of weeks it improved.
But my family and I know and the people I work with.To bad there is not a pill that can take it off as fast as that one put it on.
A year before that (when I was first diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety/Panic Attacks), my dr. prescribed me Paxil. While on that, I gained upwards of 30 lbs. in only 1 year!? It worked for my attacks, but after a while, it's effectiveness wore off and my body seemed to have plateaued. The weight-gain was out of control, so I asked my dr. what I should do. She switched me to Effexor XR from that point on. Since that time, I have had excellent success with this med.
One of the reasons why I'm choosing now to try to make this change is because I am in education and will be off from early June until mid-August with a few times I can come in throughout the summer. I know that as I switch, I could get sick. Maybe if I do get sick, I'll think differently, but right now it seems worth the risk to me. Right now I'm dealing with 53 extra pounds. Who knows if it's even going to stop here?
Hi! You aren't alone...I too "suffer" from these episodes...I hate them, I have let them take over my life...instead of me controlling the situation,I let the situation control me! I have had them since I was 13yrs old and they have gotten worse...but I have had 3 kids, and I'm still alive! And yes I do have a "drink" every now and then...
I'm telling you I feel great and I will put up with the side effects of this drug as long as I can continue to feel good and lose weight!!!!
I don't think there has been any interactions with all of the vitamins that I take I feel as though I can start exercising again. I do still have minor complications with gas and occassional diarreah (sorry I'm a horrible speller:) but I think I'm pretty happy with the pill. I don't see any reason to up the dosage. Good luck!!!!
After 2 weeks, I finally found some subs and went back to my routine because I couldn't take it. I was like, crazy. I can't deal with this for weeks, possibly months, I will seriously wanna shoot myself (figuritively speaking of course). Ahhhh, someone sell me some!!!!!!!
but i have to make myself eat meals, cause i have absolutly no interest in them. I am trying to take advantage of the situation and loose as much weight as i can. I am a chubby gal, and have been for awhile. I was put on this med for migrains... it has helped me immensly. But i am alos enjoying the other side effect.... the heel thing, i can deal with. This drug is also a mood stableizer, and trust me... i need one.... and it IS helping me in that department to. Well, keep posting.
i hae gained about 10pds from effexor- but i was not active either while taking it. I am much more alert with paxil- no naps! I am concerned about weight gain from paxil because ive read alot of post fm others that claim paxil causes weight. Would love to hear some feedback. Thank You......
At any rate I didn't get out of bed to take my Effexor on a regular basis so maybe I was having some withdrawal symptoms at the same time. I can only describe my feeling that I get when I don't take it as a kind of fuzzy feeling throughout my entire body. It just feels strange. And I don't to often like to get too far away from home because I feel like just lying down whereever I may be.
I do feel better finally but if I forget to take a Lexapro, I get the nausea, etc. and I have been on it 2 years with a weight gain of 40+ pounds! I ran a marathon in 2000 and now I walk/jog 3 miles 3-5 days a week and stick to an 1800 calorie diet -- so what's up!
The doctor told me that i might get tingling in my fingers and i might feel a little dopy but happy dopy he described it as, so I figure i can deal with that! If I start losing weight at a rapid pace i'll definitely post again! And I'm gonna just give up soda now even though im kinda curious to see how bad its gonna taste! Thats all for now! Keep posting I find this soooo interesting!
(, and it's not for my back pain because I find that I can control that with Advil on occasion. I'm still trying to come to terms with it all and find out how to live without them. I hope I can someday.
But best friends would want us to go on and take a part of them with us throught our lives. I had a girlfriend take her own life in high school and now at 53 I still think about her but only good thoughts.
I don't think I could just let the migraines go untreated...but hopefully I can get by with 2.5 a day. I stepped down from 8 norco to 4 (last week) and then from 4 to 3..then from 3 norco to 3 vicodin 7.5/500. I feel pretty lousy right now but I want to do this, I just think that very slow methodical tapering will be my key. Didn't have a problem cutting the dose in half in one day, but now it's getting a little hard. I will continue to come here for encouragement and support.
Instead, I'm finding this muscle relaxant Soma and minor-league amphetamine Phentermine, together with the good tunes, to be quite a hoot. I think of all the posts I've read from so many of you describing the agony of withdrawal, something I know well, and yet here I am "cheating" with these substitute drugs.
I use an estrogen patch that helps with hot flashes and take B-12 shots every week as well as vit E and C . I have found nothing to help with sex drive. I have been looking into HGH therapy for all this. The hormones contained in HGH should/and have had results( all good) for weight gain problems and ache and pains associated with hysterectomies.
