I have suffered form PCOS for 16 years and thought there was no hope, but now that I know I am unsulin resistant and there is a help with metformin and I can help by controling my diet and exercise I feel revived !!....but you must have a mind set to do it, and stick with it no matter how discouraged you get ....
So I am excited about this with taking the water pill and the phentermine/ adipex. I will continue to work out 3x a week and stick with the diet as much as I can....Wish me luck and will update my weight loss as the time continues. SW 03/12/09 212lbs CW 03/21/09 208 lbs Lets see what happens next week...............the plot thickens.
In the past few weeks, we have seen sibutramine (Meridia) pulled from the shelves due to an increased risk of heart attacks, and now lorcaserin (Lorqess) has failed to pass muster with the FDA because of concerns about cancer.
I do stay active because I take my kids back and forth to daycare, doctor, etc. Currently I am looking to see if there is a pill I can take even by perscription that will help with the weight loss. It may make me have to go back to the doctor every 3 months instead of 6 but we shall see. Good luck, God bless, don't let those inconsiderate jerks tell you that you can't spell. It's not like we have word to correct our spelling on here anyways!
People comment frequently on my weight loss, and I feel so much better. My blood sugar is also much better (I also take Metformin). I made diet changes, too. No beef or pork, chicken only twice a week. Otherwise, I get protein from dairy and grains. And only whole grains. I drink Glucerena if I don't have time for a meal. No refined carbs ( pastry, etc). What amazed me was how easily I adapted to this diet. I know the Victoza helped a lot. Oh, lots of fruit and veggies, of course.
Started taking the metformin 500 once a day in April of this year. Now, I stopped taking it when I started taking phentermine in June in order to lose weight. I stopped taking the phentermine in September and told my Dr. I was ready to start trying to have a baby again. She gave me the clomid 50 and I took my 1st dose last month. I've heard that when you take the metformin and clomid together it should help you get pregnant. Is this true?
Am I on the right track with this with wanting to request trying Phentermine in combination with mt Metformin? Is there something else that I need to be considering?
HAS ANYONE WITH PCOS LOST WEIGHT??? Hi - I too have PCOS. I am 29 yrs old, live in Chgo and have been diagnosed about 7 years ago & since then have been gaining weight like crazy! I started out with a size 10 athletic body and very active, then my period just stopped and instant weight gain and facial hair growth started. The last couple of years I noticed the "dark neck" which I have been told means I am insulin resisitent.

But you take it if you are extremely obesed otherwise exercise can be a best solution. You can also try phentermine, as I am also researching on Phentermine pills and its efficacy. But you should be cautious about side effects of Adipex and Phenermine. To get extremely cheap phentermine, you can visit http://www.buy-diet-pill-phentermine-online.com And here are some tips to keep you fit - Many people wants to firm up their stomach.
Can't lose weight no matter what I try and I have tried every diet under the sun along with regular exercise up to 4 hours every day. I just got the prescription for the Levothyroxin today, so I will start tomorrow. Do you think there could be another cause in addition to the thyroid that is preventing me from losing weight? Hypothalamus, adrenal, pituitary glands? Should I have any of these checked? I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome (reason for metformin).
In May of 2009, I was concerned about my weight(~200lbs) so the PA I saw prescribed me with Phentermine(15mg) and Metformin(500mg). They made me jittery, so I stopped after one month. I do not take a multivitamin and I do eat healthy. How am I supposed to cut out B6? I have been taking 2000ug B12 for 5weeks. Every doc I talk to says I probably have MS. Should I maybe see a specialist for MS or keep seeing my Neurologist?
I actually took clomid back in 2007, I started I believe in April. I actually got pregnant with the 4th round, but didn't even know it until i went to the hospital with some serious abdominal pains..found out I was pregnant and had a massive cyst on my ovary. I also have PCOS, but anyhow, I ended up miscarrying that pregnancy. I continued to take clomid after that and just by chance the last and final (6st) round I got pregnant again.

Yes, I have a PCOS weight loss success story. ...Just not with Metformin. I was diagnosed about 20 years ago, or so. The only symptom I had was the inovulatory dysfunction. I weighed 97lbs from age 16 to age 30 or so. In my 30s, I went up to 110lbs, but that was good. Then, boom, around age 40, my periods became regular, but I started packing on the weight. By my mid-40s, I was over 160lbs! Diet & exercise didn't work. In fact, I often gained weight with caloric restriction...
I’ve had incredibly oily skin on my face and scalp since puberty as well as terribly heavy periods, though generally not that painful. At 21, I went on the pill to help with the horrible periods, which had gotten even heavier over time. I went from losing weight (trying to get into better shape) to immediately gaining, had my face breakout in acne, started growing facial hair, and completely lost interest in sex (and before hubby and I were like bunnies). Ok, so that pill was not for me.
I take a good vitamin D with K2 powder with water every day, along with a multi-vitamin with iron and extra B vitamins. I exercise only an hour a day, 30-45 minutes of cardio and a half hour of weight training each day for a total of 5 days a week. Give it time, voila! From 240 lbs to 162! And I was recognized by a healthcare company in my state for my achievements, and I know you can do this! :) Message me, anytime!
I due advise you all to be careful for OHS(ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome). If any questions that I can help with please let me know. BTW I am only 26 and I was 133 now I am 155. so there is something major wrong. I was dumb and tried the dit when I only weighed 133 now I beg to be back there.
That's with going to the gym, changing my diet, adding a bunch of water, and the medications. I also take Fish Oil with Omega 3 because I hate fish, so I know I don't eat enough of it to get the benefits. I also take a Schiff's Single Day Multi-Vitamin. Which I have found to be a lot better than the One A Day tablets. Though they are much stinkier and gross tasting. All in all, it is helping with the weight. The exercise has also helped with many other things.
I like what ive seen with b12 shots. the lap band isn't for me.. ive heard that you must have a lot to loose to get it!
I too am on the b12/hcg and phentermine. I have to tell you that I am the most ANTI-PHARMACEUTICAL person I know. I do not believe that the big drug comapnies have anyones best interest in mind only what kind of profit they can make. I will ALWAYS go the natural route and try to fix whatever the problem is from the inside out, rather than bandaging it with parmaceutical drugs that may stop whatever symptom you have, but cause all kinds of other issues.
I'm starting to get my self-confidence back, because I can now see that I am losing the weight. I hope this helps. But I would discourage anyone from getting the Depo-Provera shot. I went from a size 9 to a size 22, it was awful; but now I've creeped into a size 16.
I started putting on weight when I got pregnant with my daughter and subsequently added more weight with my son. I haven't been able to take it off. I did try the Atkins program, but I ended up getting quite sick. I lost about 30 pounds fairly rapidly, but my skin hung and I looked like death warmed over. I went off the program and put the weight and more back on almost as fast as I took it off. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and have a very low Insulin-like growth hormone.
However after many surgeries I have slowly put the weight back on and can NOT take it off. Someone please help me find a site that I can actually purchase the shots. By the way the Genesis site is NOT up and running. You can't get ahold of any one and the emails bounce back to you. DOES ANYONE KNOW????? Thanks all in advance for your HELP!
books..info...me my self..would 100% not take this..and in no way do I think it can help with weight loss....with all due respect..till I see solid proof Im wrong..that's my opinon..so no yelling at me..lol __________________ "The Lord is on my side;I have no fear.
He didn't even suggest that I take vitamins while I was losing the weight. I also don't enjoy all the loose skin that will never bounce back... Weight loss isn't always worth it, especially when you take a pill to do it. I found out the hard way.
Chances are slim to none but I have heard that HCG causes birthdefects?? How long after the shots can I take the test does any one know!
I have seen so many people who are really close to kid find it hard to conceive. Since I can rember I have aspecial bond with kids...never knew what it was but it's like we exchange thoughts ....and it can be any kid... If i pass by a kid, he/she always turns and looks at me...
