Common Questions and Answers about Can i take nasonex with claritin

nasonex

He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on. Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.

Dr. Rosenwasser's Answer: Yes, it is not published yet but Singulair and Accolate can help sinusitis and polyps.
), was not an accurate diagnosis. I think I developed anxiety, but did not have anxiety to start with, because I kept being told that the physical symptoms I had were not real. Anyway, so the shortness of breath/dizziness continued as the same, up until late February of 2007. In Feb., I got a throat infection, with some type of bacteria that was similar to strep but was not strep A. My ears got clogged, my throat was really swollen, the dizziness was worse that before, and I had a fever.

The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.
We went to an allergist after an emergency room visit and she started with nasonex and albuterol, now advair, singulair, nasonex plus tonsils/adenoid surgery. We'll see with the 5 mo old. benedryl helps her. going to ENT next week. the allergist says "normally airborne allergies dont happen for a few yrs, so it is food allergies or just stuffy...". I am a big believer in nasal rinsing! For infantsthe drs say saline drops.
I am now 23 and most of it has gone away since I'm on constant meds. Benadryl, Claritin, ohm, a few corticosteroids in spray form and a few other pills. If I fail to take any of these for more than 3 days my symptoms all come back. The sneezing fits, the constant dripping, the itching. Going from cold to warm temperature makes me sneeze nonstop. Wearing cologne, different scents, pollen, somebody touching my nose, etc. This has greatly diminished my quality of life.

Sorry that you are dealing with this too, I totally know the "off-balance" feeling. When I first got this around new years, it appeared to be a cold with an ear ache feeling. I had dizziness and jitteriness spells to go along with this. I first was told to take Sudafed, and then told to take Mucinex-D. After having bad experiences with those, my doctor gave me Allegra-D.
The air passage through by nose and sinus cavaties is clear and not obstructed. However, I can not smell. I can not smell cologne, coffee, and I have even held a jar of Vicks salve under my nose and I smelled nothing. Thanks.
I am on allergy shots and take zyrtec daily all year long. During the spring and fall I take 2 zyrtecs. I also take Nasonex every now and then to when my nose gets very runny. This keeps me functioning but not 100% allergy free. My current biggest annoyance is ear itchiness. To the point when I scratch my inner ear 3 or 4 dozen times a day. I am concerned that I am going to injure my inner ears and wanted to know if there is any medication that will help?

This causes more swelling and inflammation in your throat and nose, aggravating this self-perpetuating cycle. Steps you can take During allergy seasons (trees during the spring, ragweed during the fall, molds all year round), there are a number of conservative step you can take to lessen your symptoms, to more formal medical treatments: ● Stay indoors during high pollen counts with air conditioning ● Wash your hair before going to bed if you’ve been outdoors during the day.

I had an allergic rash appear from Penicillian and given an antihistimine to calm it and a different antibiotic Doxycycline for sinuses instead. My boss ensured me that when I go back in a couple of days, everything will be cleaned and dried. In the event, I continue to react, what steps can I take medically, besides removing myself from the workplace. About a year ago I started having such constant inhalant allergies that I had to start taking Claritin on a daily basis to deal with it. A couple of months ago the Claritin seemed to completely stop working so I changed to chlorpheneramine maleate, but I was so tired for the several days I was on it that I had to quit using it. Now I'm back to 2 Claritin/day to manage the symptoms, and it doesn't seem to affect the food allergies at all, just inhalant.

The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant. Benadryl will put me to sleep and make me feel tired the next day, so I try not to use that unless it is a must.
Hi i have been feeling like **** for the past few months and wanted to know if anyone felt similar before with strong smells. I believe I have gerd induced asthma. I have to cut grass with a mask on because the smell overwhelmed me. I thougth not a big deal but now I pretty much have to ride with the windows up because the smell of dirt/dust/cornfields, roadwork(paving), strong smells etc. bothers me. Luckily I have an inhaler left over from earlier this year and it helps.
My asthma is pretty well controlled right now with Advair, I have been getting allergy shots for a few years, I am also on Nasonex and take Claritin-D daily. I used to use a netti pot, it made me feel a little less congested but it didn't seem to prevent or get rid of the infections. For the last year I have been getting sinus infections over and over. At first antibiotics helped and my infections and they would go away for a couple months.
After seeing a doctor i was prescribed medicine for bronchitis and nasonex. The nasonex takes care of the stuffy nose and i take Claritin at nights so i dont wake up with symptoms, however i still have the cough and mucus (apparently it wasn't bronchitis). I am currently on medicine for a sinus infection. could a sinus infection be the cause of the wheezing? also i have began to develop allergy's to foods but have not been tested for dust, pollen, etc.
She can start an episode in the middle of the night if she gets up. I have had her on dietary restrictions for migraines and I have been able to get these cyclic episodes of dizziness to a little over 10 weeks we started at 9-91/2 weeks. She tends to be a snorer and ***** her thumb still. She also grinds her teeth. She is on Claritin and Nasonex in case there is an allergy component. My question is have you seen anything like this before and do you have any suggestions?
I went to a doctor and they put me on Allegra and Nasonex to try to take the edge off until I can get another opinion. Today has been a little better so far. I did the Allegra, the Nasonex, and a steam thing in the shower. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you again.
