pills. If I am wise and take one as soon as I feel one coming on, I can stop it with one half of the pill. Sometimes it doesn't work and I have to take the other half. That's just one way of stretching them. Also, I have my Dad buy them for me in Mexico where you don't need a prescription and they are about $50.00 for 9 pills.

I have tried several different preventative medications including Inderal LA, which I no longer take. I now take Imitrex 100mg PRN- but have noticed a few changes in my symptoms. I have never experienced an aura-I usually get the pain on one side(usually my left) that generates to behind my left eye. The headaches pretty much incapacitate me- I am nauseated-feel dizzy-overall malaise. Imitrex and 3 excedrin usually helped.
I hear Excedrin Migraine is good...I have migraines also, I'm going to pick some up for next time I have one.
Your body needs to start replacing all the vitamins you have lost and will also help with some of the depression. I take a supplement with all the b vitamins and it helps with energy and depression also with a multivitamin. I wish anyone else going through this the best of luck and keep your head up because every day is one step closer to feeling better .
I have really bad migraines. I used to take Excedrin before I found out I was pregnant as it was practically the only medicine that works since I couldn't take ibuprofen because of my blood problems I had when I was a younger. However when I went to my obgyn and asked what else I could take stronger than Tylenol, she said nothing. Not while pregnant. Just Tylenol.
Hi & CONGRATULATIONS on 10 days! Its GREAT to see you pushing forward. About a month or (maybe a little longer) ago I started getting debilitating headaches. After many tests it was found that they are caused from stress & anxiety. I didn't think it would have been stress because I am dealing with everything going on but apparently STRESS can really make you physically sick. I don't know if this applies to you but it's a thought??
Alright my question is I need a cure I don’t think I have migraines maybe I can find a solution through this website or even a doctor that will work with me to find a cure(I am in Iraq right now). I will start with Migraine medicine doesn’t work for me I have only came out of a so called migraine with Excedrin Migraine or Goodies powder is the only thing that I stand by.
I was put on Maxalt and it stopped working in a couple of months and I often time had to mix it with other pills. Between appt I took excedrin extra strength, I was taking 3 or 4 pills for two hours. The new pills they had put me on was a "pre migraine pill" imitrex and a once you get a migraine pill" Fioricet. But the Fioricet is beggining to stop working. I am getting migraines multiple times a day and its really getting to me. I've had a MRI done before but it was clear.
I find that if I drink very strong coffee just as a migraine is coming on, I can abort it. Once it really takes hold it is too late for coffee. I also have identified certain triggers, one of which is having alcohol if I am overheated and feeling logy (such as on a hot summer day). Just staying in the hot sun without a hat can sometimes do it too.
m sorry you can take Imitrex. For me it is a lifesaver. I also take Excedrin but found that you can get rebound headaches from them as well. I was taking too many of those and actually had to wean down from them. Can you imagine....weaning down from Excedrin? How pathetic, but I guess it's the addict in me. LOL. I did find that when I cut back on those the headaches were less. I do think that the caffeine will help you with the rebounds. Keep strong! God Bless you.
I take 2 pills at the onset of a headache up to 6 pills a day. Lately I need to take 3 to 4 pills a day for relief. Today 6/12/2015 I woke up with no headache and did not take any pills. By midday I started getting a slight headache and took two Excedrin. I have gone 24 hours with no Fioricet and hope to be able to make it for 2 more days to get the worse of it over with. Am drinking lots of water, pedialite and will take more excedrin if headache returns.
I get migraines as well and although I do not take imitrex, I to take a triptan, which is what imitrex is. The triptan that I take is called zomig, and I take a nasal spray version. There are lots of triptans on the market and imitrex is one of the first, the generic name is called sumatriptan and it is what they will give you in the hospital, but by injecteion, if you ever go in for a migraine...
I did, I have migranes and was given pamalor, it worked really good for me, I stipped taking it and I am thinking I should go back on it again. I took it with imitrex. they worked fine for me. '

i can tell you that i tested positive for marijuana when i was taking 4 excedrin migrianes every day for about 6 months. i had a confirmation test which was negative and went to court and the court ordered the CPS to remove the drug screen from my records...i was invloved with CPS because i had a foster child they reoved from me because of the screen...
