FYI the biggest improvement from the zyrtec/flonase is the itching has almost stopped. There when it got bad, I was breaking out in hives randomly and itching all over. That has mostly stopped as long as I take the medicine. The other things....not so much. Except the sneezing has stopped.

Hello and hope you are doing well. Zyrtec can cause side effects like skin nodules, rash, pruritis (itching), acne, urticaria, photosensitivity reactions and eczema. So, the itchy red cheeks could be due to Zyrtec. Discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Zyrtec and benadryl. Zyrtec doesn't work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.

my nose is runny and full of crap. my dr. told me to take zyrtec, flonase and do the neti pod. all three of them i have come to realize work great but if i forget to do one, the breathing difficulty continues. i have come to the conclusion that i hate allergies! :) zyrtec is great guys, it has done wonders with my "upper respirtory" issues.

I remember with DS #2 I was on claritan (I think) and flonase nasal spray. I would talk with your doctor to get a better idea of whats safe or not.

A kinesiologist can cure you of the allergy. One got rid of all of mine.

My Dr ordered a CT scan a year ago and said i had a deviated septum and some nasal polyps. I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec.

The Zyrtec makes me sleepy, so I take it at night...I suspect that the Lisinopril may be making me sleepy, too, or maybe slightly light-headed (?), but I still take it in the morning; Here is my list: Morning - Lisinopril, fish oil cap, Vitamin C, Calcium chew (with Vitamin D and Vitamin K added), Flonase. Noon - Multivitamin (Centrum Silver generic) and Vitamin A cap. Night - Zyrtec, fish oil, Vitamin C, and Calcium chew.

I had surgery two years ago to remove tissue from my nose to enlarge my sinuses and it did help...but now I am back to square one. I take Zyrtec, Flonase and anything else to help, also have been on COUNTLESS antibiotics. I also have asthma and it is making it flare up. I use my inhalers and Singulair for that regularly. I have a poodle about 100 lbs. No hair shaved it all off. Still allergic. I can smell the dog as strong as a burning cigar, strong smell! I don't think I smell the dog because after I take antihistamine I can't smell the dog much at all. Make sense? I can smell everything else still. I was super sick when i was about 12 weeks pregnantso bad i had to go to urgent care and I was told to take NOTHING!!! by 2 doctors and a pharmacist. All i was able to do was drink hot water with lemon and pasturized honey. They said if i did get a fever it was ok to take tylenol, but to follow the instructions and not ake too many. I am allergic to pcn. We stopped that.They than put me on citalopram an anti depres and Apprazolam. After two weeks we decied I was having side affects from citalopram. They took 12 days to work me off citalopram. By the way about that time I finally got in to see and ENT doctor.

My husband has terrible allergies. He always seems to have a cold, even though he says it's just allergies. These white spots always appear on his throat followed by a terrible cough that lasts forever. He's been tested for Strep,and it's always hegative. When we moved in together, I really noticed how sick he was ALL the time - I mean really sick. He takes Zyrtec every other day to prevent hives and rashes on his skin, but it's like he ALWAYS has a cold.

i also just quit smoking 1 week ago today and i have i light cough. i basically live in a basement full of dust and possible mould..i dont have pets but all of my friends do and im there alot.

Let me also add that I suffer from horrible allergies and take Zyrtec and Flonase daily. I have one tonsil that is much larger than the other and seem to get strep and sinus infections very easily. One visit I was diagnosed with an infection (most likely strep she said, although no white spots....just huge tonsil with an opaque surface) after being asked about tonsil stones. I never heard of them so I read up on it.
