Can i take flexeril and vicodin together

Common Questions and Answers about Can i take flexeril and vicodin together

flexeril

Avatar n tn ordered me vicodin and I was taking Etodolac also for the pain and inflamation. I was wondering if I could take the two medicines together.
Avatar f tn I have been clean from vicodin for 3 weeks now, but I hurt my back while moving into a new house. One of my relatives gave me a few flexarol but I have not taken them. Is it ok for me to take flexeral or is that an opiate like vicodin? I don't want to take something that is going to remind me of vicodin.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I had very bad side effects from Flexeril. Just on one dose I was speaking and the words coming out of my mouth was not what I meant to say. It made me extremely foggy too, to the point where I could not fuction. It took 3 days for the med to completely get out of my system. I will never take it again.
623065 tn?1275503695 Flexeril causes sleepyness, feeling drowsy, cloudyness... It usually is not one to be abused. Generally with spinal injuries, or neurosurgery, if a patient is looking at back surgery Flexeril (muscle relaxers) and Vicodin (pain killers) are the main medications used to help with the pain. If he has chopped the pills up, then he's most likely NOT abusing them. The reason I say this is because he would be taking several pills WHOLE.
Avatar f tn I hate taking all these drugs but I am at a point that I an in so much pain and just need some relief and some sleep. Help will all this be ok to take together? I also take a multi vitamin.
906679 tn?1263612612 It is very difficult to wean off and has left some with permanent side effects. Good luck. I took vicodin with cymbalta and now I only take vicodin. It took me months of agony to get off Cymbalta. Please do the research.
Avatar m tn I have a lot of chronic pain problems with my knee, I had surgery on it a while ago, it has arthritis in it now, it bothers me everyday, I have herniated discs in my lower back and and problems with my left ankle. I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect.
Avatar f tn prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.
Avatar f tn I was on Vicoden for over three years, and now am getting good results with a 25 mcg Duragesic patch (change every three days) and Lyrica, 150 mcg twice daily. This is the most pain free I have been in recent memory. I hope that your regimen helps. This is a wonderful forum, and I am sure that there are many others who are going to share their thoughts. All my best to you, and I hope this works for you.
Avatar n tn I have flexeril and do think it could aid with sleep and anxiety...maybe rls to some extent as well...
Avatar m tn t remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I'm new to this forum.  About 4 years ago I started to take vicodin...to which I became dependant on.   Physically and emotionally.  My boyfriend and I live together, and he's addicted too.  He's actually prescribed to it as he has knee and back trouble.    About a year ago I went to a doctor and he gave me suboxin.  8 mg, twice a day.  So basically we share the vicodin when he gets it and the suboxin when I get it.
Avatar f tn I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep.
Avatar f tn Avis is right too -- if you are already on subs and try to take a nocro nothing will happen. If you are on Norco and try to take sub - you will be very sick.
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! Yes, it is safe to take Vicodin while pregnant. As with anything else during pregnancy however, the less the better. Take only the minimum dosage that alleviates the pain, and take it only when plain Tylenol and other methods haven't worked. One other thing about the combination of Vicodin and pregnancy is that it is a real set up for constipation! So watch out for that! Good luck!
558096 tn?1255887002 CAn I take these two together? I'm on an EXTREME taper on the hydro's and wanted to see if they were ok to take together so I can get some freakin sleep at night!

Avatar m tn my muscles are so tight and knotted that it can leave me in tears (20 year old male). i have been taking flexeril for a year, and i have only used two bottles (60 10mg tablets) however, when i took one two nights ago, i began to shake and get very cold. following that immediately was immense pain in my chest, and extreme pressure going against my breathing. it was all night long until i could breath normally, i was so light headed from panting that it made me nauseous.
232328 tn?1207090071 I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!
671435 tn?1230876528 Yes anxiety can cause headache and pressure. Feels like you head is gonna explode. Its one of my symptomes and I hate it. More than likely its due to you neck and shoulders tensed up which creates spasms. Trying to relax is easier said than done. My suggestion to you is get a massage, and continue going to your doctor to see if you can't ease you pain and anxiety.
