Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar m tn after 5 days of pain and suicidal preferences i have now said goodbye and never want to take these tablets again! i am now more a good dad and have more time and more restraint with my children and hope many more people take there time and realise you can cold turkey in just 5 days!
639472 tn?1243178810 Its so hard, I know. Methadone is some scary stuff for sure and I'm pretty sure the w/d off of that is brutal. I had a choice between Methadone or Suboxone. I choose the subs and regretted it miserably but am positive I would have regretted the Methadone even more. I truly believe in cold turkey. But any step to get clean is a big one. I think that tapering for most people is very difficult -- lets face it as addicts if we have them, we are taking them.
653169 tn?1303446369 I take Diclofenac XR now and have had trouble with other prescription NSAIDs upsetting my stomach. For me, this one seems to be the best out of all I've tried and it's the most effective for my inflammation. I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.
Avatar f tn I am on long term usage of Mobic and it works great for me .. it does take time to build up and likewise, when I try to stop it takes days for the pain to come back but when it does, I am in bad bad pain (a flare) ... I recently tried the new Diclofenic patches which did 0% for me and I went back to oral meds instead. I have a severe tibial tendonitis/arthritis issue in my ankle area with no cure at this time.
Avatar m tn t working to relieve the pain, I have also been taking diclofenac and have also taken paracetamol to try help but I am still climbing the walls, im not sure if it is safe to take more meds i will need to get appointment with doctor when they reopen after holiday but in the mean time im stuck any advise will be appreciated
Avatar m tn Hello. My father has a surgery appointment for 6 hours later. This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.

Avatar f tn I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.
Avatar n tn Hello and welcome to MedHelp and our forums. This is an excellent question to ask your doctor. I would not add anything to your current regime if you have not received approval from your doctor. And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. Here is information regarding diclofenac gel. https://www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid.
Avatar m tn hi there. i take 660mg of dihydrocodeine daily, have for ablut 9 months now. it is the long acting type. it just isn't strong enough, i am considering asking my doctor about suboxone, is my dose of DHC high? i don't like taking 11 pills a day, especially when it is not really doing the job it is supposed to - sometimes it helps keep the withdrawls at bay, most of the time it doesn't.
1595390 tn?1311621743 Forgot to mention, I am not doing too well on having had to reduce myself down to three (from 6) 30mg dihydrocodeine tablets. Every now and then I take a 4th one to help the pain and relax me, but it means that I reduce the amount of tablets I have left. I have read a lot about other people's experiences on this forum already (and thanks for one poster who's told me to post it on a newer thread! forgot your name, sorry!
Avatar f tn ve seroquel and epilim and dimenhydrinate for anywas and I take trazadone for sleep I wonder would all this combination benefit me in terms of withdrawal symptoms and painkiller wise could I generally take diclofenac sodium along with ibuprofen to control painful spasms etc hydration is difficult but I can take hydration liquid like dioralyte so would these suggestions be of benefit to me at all in regards to attempting withdrawl myself tapering of tablets is not as hard as it seems to a lot of
Avatar m tn m fully aware of how ridiculous an amount i take and how irresponsible, and with lots of respect,I would rather not have folk lecturing me or scaring the wits out of me for taking so much. I get depressed very easily!
Avatar n tn So many questions... It wasn't prescribed to me, and that person is gone now. But the whole development of events forced me into extensively reading on how stuff works, and it was then that I said farewell to human-made drugs. Nowadays I go to the doctor just to get the blood test done once or twice a year... So, diclofenac blocks the proper functiong of the COX enzyme in our body. That's all it does. It doesn't cure anything, it doesn't repair anything...
Avatar f tn ve been prescribed for external use on my osteoarthritis of the thumbs. I also have cirrhosis and I did some research on the drug. My hepatologist did give me the okay to use it, but after reading this FDA warning on possible liver damage from the drug (http://www.fda.gov/safety/medwatch/safetyinformation/safetyalertsforhumanmedicalproducts/ucm193047.htm) I've been exceedingly cautious and sparing in its use.
Avatar m tn Do not take pain killers continuously and always take them intermittently. You can apply ice packs and also massage diclofenac gel on the area of pain and you can also consider some diclofenac sprays for pain relief. As you are seeing an orthopedician and going perfectly the right way, follow that properly and have patience and do your physical therapy properly and regularly. Do not exert your affected shoulder with physical activity or by lifting of heavy weights. Take care!
Avatar f tn Thank you- I know that is the way to go-and is easier when my life is more settled-which it is now, so here goes, and good luck to Shazzy. I currenly take 2x30mg dihydrocodeine twice a day- initially prescribed for severe bladder pain (interstitial Cystitis) I also take zopiclone 7.5mg for insomnia, which I would love to come off. I have recently given up drinking completely(wasn't an alcoholic) but became an unhealthy habit.
Avatar m tn I myself have had a headache for almost a week now, I do not know why as I never have headaches, and I take some strong medications for lots of problems with my back, and while they help that, they do nothing for my headache. I am at my wits end. So, those she takes drugs ain't gonna help her. I am glad you are a good husband and trying to get to the bottom of this. Hope this helps you some.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Avatar n tn I get 120 a month, which I do take all. I have back issues and 20% nerve damage in my neck. The work I do entitles lifting elderly residents, and I do work 16 hour shifts. I dont take more then the recommended dose which is 4 tablets a day. Panlor SS is acetaminophen, caffeine and dihydrocodeine. This may sound bad, but somehow I am out of my script 5 days early. My doctor wont renew my script till the 13th, and Im trying to figure out what im going to do for pain.
Avatar n tn I recently fell in shower ....I have prescribed Flector 1.3% Pain Patches (12hr) but have not used them in the last several months. Can I use these patches to help ease the muscular rib, and neck pain, etc...Especially if I'm currently taking the prescribed Fentanyl 25mcg Pain patches every 48 hours? Would their be an conflict of these two medications? Also, how many of these Flector patches can be applied on different parts of my body at the same time?
