My brother is on welfare and the doctors at the clinic have given him the following meds. Tramadol 50 mg, Trazadone 50mg,Amitriptyline 10mg, cyclobenzaprine 10mg, Hydrocodone/APAP 5mg/500mg. In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions?

I just wonder why he has so many drugs, especially for pain. I think he should stay with the Trazadone for sleeping and the Hydrocodone for the bad pain and move away from the others.

i was prescribed oxycodone 5mg or tabs 2 at a time for back pain and cyclobenzaprine 10mg i was having severe pain so i took 2 oxycodone and 2 of the cyclobenzaprines and also 2 hydrocodone 5/500's i have a high tolerance for pain killers but i want to know if i am in any danger?

It would be nice to be so. I suffer from pain every day and I'm told I will for my life but I didn't ask for it and comes a demond as well. Do what u can to get through it dont worrie about all the othe Stuff beatting the narco a trip in its self. Felxeril is not a controlled substance it work kinda for pain but not to well. Four is prescription strength. I am not saying you can take that many.....my doctor says some ppl can take Advil and some cannot. I am just saying.....try it. You will know if it makes you sick or not. Second, I recommend you see a Neurologist. They can properly diagnose you and put you on some preventative drugs as well as abortive drugs to treat the migraines. Treating migraines is a marathon, not a sprint. There is not going to be some magical pill and you're done.

My doctor increased my prescription from 90 per month to 120 per month. I'm now receiving 180 per month along with 90 cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) per month. I also receive 30 meloxicam per month for swelling and pain. Even with all these meds I'm still in pain.

I have trouble sleeping when i take gabapentin. I take 600mg at bedtime right now. My doctor just started me on it and I took this 5 hours ago. I am supposed to take another 300mg in the morning. it is worse in the morning..and if i take a nap..in the afternoon...it has gotten to where i have to sleep sitting up.... I also am taking a regular routine of Ativan. So I can tell you with the Tramadol and ativan I have felt pretty good. I did find out that if you just go cold turkey on Tramadol you can have withdrawls as well and I'm terrified because that will happen with me tomorrow when I run out. Tramadol also does "cover" The Vicodin addiction and withdrawls but I personally believe that you you are on Tramadol long enough without Vicodin, this will get the vicodin out of your system.

I am proud everyday I don't one and now I think if I found one on the floor I'd flush it. I am starting to see how clouded I was when I was taking even one a day.

It is very difficult to wean off and has left some with permanent side effects. Good luck. I took vicodin with cymbalta and now I only take vicodin. It took me months of agony to get off Cymbalta. Please do the research.
