can i take adderall and xanax

After a few days of this, I give up and start taking the Adderall again. I get more done at my job and have a better attitude when I take the Adderall. Although most people have lost weight while taking Adderall I have gained about 15 pounds which, of course, doesn't help the depression. Does anyone have the same experience while taking an SSRI and Adderall XR together.

My Dr tells me to take 80 mg of Adderall and 4 mg of xanax every day. I rarely take the whole amount, usually 40 or 60 mg of adderal and 1 or 2 mg of xanax. I am afraid to take the whole amount and on my days off I try to take less so that my tolarance will go down. Whats this going to do to my health in the long term? I am sure this Dr is a psycho, he gives my husband who has been in and out of hospitals for psychosis, who tell him he hears voices every day 90 mg a day!!

im still puzzled by my walking but that started with the prozac and xanx.....as i said i have been on benzos 20 years..so i can only try to cut back..i thought of upping the adderall back to original doseof 15 mg 3 times a day instead of two,,but im afraid it will hurt my heart,,,so many people say it can............why would my dr put me on it knowing the xanax would affect it when he prescibed the xanax and prozac/...

But I have been also taking adderall and I know I am defeating the purpose and I am tempted to throw them away I have only taken an half today And it does help me have some energy. I don't know who else to talk to about all this everybody I know takes pills, my mom, sister, best friend ( or all my friends) etc.. I tell them how bad I feel or how I don't even know who I am off pills and all they say is I will get over it I guess they are just scared I will ask them for some.

Im trying to get off subs,but i keep substatuting xanax to sleep at night and adderall to give me energy in the morning to get up with my 2 yr old son he wakes up at 6 A.M.I dont get those prescribed to me want to get off everything dont want to have to take anything to function through everyday life.I try to justify it in my head because im not using herion anymore but i know have to get off all the sh**.Do you wd from adderall and xanax like subs?

just like me , I take 3 .5 mgs of xanax and I take 20 mgs of adderall xr plus 2 10 mgs of adderall irs a day I have anxiety , insomnia and adhd add combo ( plus panic disorder and agorphobia) I recently hoped on the hole xanax and adderall thing , no complaints is it bad?

I also take adderall for add and xanax for anxiety. The reason that you are experiencing anxiety like symptoms from the adderall is because adderall is a stimulant. It is a mix of amphetamine and dextoamphetamine salts. It is a schedule II drug. Schedule I drugs are the worst classification and it goes down to schedule V. This is not uncommon, I have this problem as well. The question is can you live with the extra anxiety if the adderall is really helping you?

so if i dont take the adderall and xanax at the same time of day the adderall will work better?

I have been without it for a week, Xanax 2 weeks and I am cutting down on the Adderall by half. I will eventually come off of it. I can taper it because I don't abuse it. I take like 9-12 mg of Melatonin a night and it does not help. I guess I am hoping that one day it will. The doctor put me on Serroquel fro sleep; however, it costs $95 per 10 of them. Just a little to expensive for me. Some nights I miss my Xanax, well most nights, but like I said, I did not abuse them.

I just moved to Largo FL from SC. The idiot shrink I transferred to gave me adderall 10mg and Xanax 2mg as I was on both for two years. Today he said in his Patel accent: you can only have one narcotic, choose one. That was it! That was the whole visit! He claimed FL state law prevents him from prescribing one narcotic that cancels out another one. So pick one. What a damned quack! And my insurance pays him 110 bucks for this 3 minute visit.

i was on xanax for 17 years and it was my happy pill then i cold turkeyed off it in 2007 have been on either ativan or klonopin since....in march a dr put me back on xanax and im wondering if it will help with my anxiety..or maybe it wont work since i was on it so long...i havr refractory depression and on prozac and adderall and cant tell much differnce..its been a month on the adderall all ist does is up my heartrate adn makes me get all anxious over that..

I used to be on a high dose of methadone many years ago, I now am on only 60 mgs a day and many days I only take 50mgs. I am also on Wellbutrin XR, and yesterday I just started Adderall, 5mg 3XDaily I had really hoped it would help pull me out of the very deep depression I've been in for years now. My depression is so bad I'm on SS Disability for it.

Only your Doctor will be able to tell you that but I would definatly say you shopuld go and ask questions before continueing asking for anything else like xanax ...they only give xanax for a short time or are supposed to only give it for a short time as it is addictive.

my dr is retireing and i found a new one i will see in june,,the dr i have been seeing has been playing with my doses but i just dont see it helping,,right now im on 20 mg prozac and 3 mg xanax and 30 mg adderaLL...

I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.

also i have noticed the last two mornings when i get up at 6 my heartrate is 93 and i take a xanax and goback to bed when i get up again at 8 my heartrate is yesterday 129 and today 115 and i have taken nothing else..the adderall from the aftrenoon before is out of my system is that weierd, they say in rare cases xanx can make eheartrate go up..i dontunderstand..have u every heard of such a thing?

t as effective anymore my tolerance to any drugs builds quickly (anything from motrin to antibiotics to xanax and adderall) the 80mg isnt effective to the point where if I want to go to sleep I can. What I've been doing is taking 90mg/AM and 30mg/PM. Most likely my Dr. Will prescribe me the 120mg/day next time I go back to see him(whenever I've asked for an increase he's given it to me after I tell him what I've been taking).

Also, is the mix of xanax and adderall okay to take? and my last question is, how can i know whether or not i know that its a panic attack and not heart condition? i'm sick of going to the ER and i'm pretty sure they are sick of me. Ok, i have been on adderall xr 30 mg, once a day for a few years for my ADHD. The only bad part is that i have severe anxiety. I have been to so many doctors, and have taken every anti-depressant available, and buspar. None of them have prevented me from having panic attacks. It has just recently gotten very bad. Im so anxious all the time, my heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest, i can't breathe, i can't swallow, and i feel like i am seriously about to die.

I had a panic attack that night, gave the pills to my mother cause i didnt want anything to do with them anymore. The next day i had another panic attack, and had to take a xanax from a friend. Today i went to my primary who prescribed xanax for me, but i feel so out of it. my mind feel completely brain dead and feels like i cant function and dont know what to do, right now i feel jittery and cant concentrate at all, Cant really eat either. I was seeing my pcp whom prescribed me adderall he told me to find a pysh and i did whom also prescribed me adderall at a lower dose which both together was what i needed i paid cash for one and used insurance for another when to walmart pharmacy they found outi had been getting scripts from 2 diffeent doctors and informed each other so now they both discharged me I have a appointment today with a new doc if he gives me adderall will i have a hard time filling it or should i use a different phar

wow i thought i was the only person to ever mix adderall and subs lol... i had an addiction to amphetamine in 9th-10th grade in highschool and for the past 2 years i have been going a little bit... over board with oxy 80s... ;-) lol to say the least. i dont do much oc these days (**** is waaaaay to expensive) but i'm still cleaning out my body completely of opiates.. so take a quarter of a sub here and there and i take adderall.. it's always struck me as a funny combonation..
