I had sex while i wasn’t on the NuvaRing but he said he pulled out. I put the NuvaRing in the week I usually get my period so i know I’d go a month without my period. i’m having cramps like period cramps now. Could that be signs of a pregnancy or is that okay?

The ring is very uncomfortable for both me and my Boyfriend during sex...to the point were my boyfriend loses his erection anytime we try and have sex. Can i take the nuvaring out to have sex then put it back in after and still be protected. Two different pharmacist, and a few people who have used the nuvaring in the past have said yes but my Dr. said no. I don't really know who to believe.

I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected. I woke up the next morning and now there is no blood, so i must not be having a period. Should I take my new nuvaring out and try to have a period or just keep it in and wait seven days to have intercourse?

BUT it does seem that alot more people get pregnant on the nuvaring. Like I said I NEVER take it out besides the one week. And put it back in at close to the same time of day that I took it out. And I do know I had it back in more then 7 days before my boyfriend came home from out of town. Guess I just have to wait and see. I have my yearly on Sept 2nd. Here's the story. I had a leep procedure (shaving off part of your cervix due to high risk pap) the end of march right after my period ended. 2 weeks later (mid april) I got the go ahead to have sex and start my new Birth Control nuvaring. That night we had unprotected sex in the middle of the night and the next morning I put in my nuvaring for the first time. Since then I've been having crazy hot flashes, I'm more tired, and sometimes feel alittle sick.

A few months ago I had a light period for 1 day, it stopped and 24 hours later started again. The next month I had a light 3 day period. This month I am late. I started using the NuvaRing on April 15th and before I used the IUD. I took out the NuvaRing on May 6th but did not have my period. So I put it back in 7 days later. On the 7th day I noticed around my nipples were sore and still to this day they are still sore. So is there a chance I could be pregnant or could his be due to the NuvaRing?

I am sorry to hear about your issues with nuvaring. I had started the nuvaring for perimenopause issues my gyn said would help. No docs Ive talked to since have heard of this being used for anything other than birth control my but tubs have been tied for years.After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.

I ask because Im on Nuvaring and was directed to put it in the Sunday AFTER the first day of my period. Then leave it in for 3 weeks and take it out on Sunday and leave it out until the following Sunday.

Hey everyone I stopped my nuvaring around early March! My cycles are finally back on track.. or so I thought. My cycles are 31 days 9 days long. My last period started on May 18th. Making tonight my 33rd day almost 34th. I've taken a few test and all were negative. No change in diet or excercise. I've been nauseous, extremely tired, heart burn, and frequent urination. The only time I bleed is when I'm straining to have a BM... I'm so confused anf lost!!!

You started Nuvaring, it can take a few days for your period to start especially when your on yo ur first mornth of Nuvaring. It takes 3 months for your body to regulate hormones. Now if you had unprotected sex within the first week of being on nuvaring (if you hadn't been on another birth control method before) then it's possible to get pregnant. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months and had no issues with it.

I am also worried the paps and colpos missed something high in the canal and/or my HPV test was a false negative 2. Or could it all be the Nuvaring? Could the Nuvaring cause LSIL to show in the pap (an inflammation I guess)? Can one have LSIL without HPV? Could Nuvaring cause cervical ectropion? I'm terrified of what may come next!!! Is it the nuvaring??? If you didn't put it back in, it's probably from that.

You should of taken the first one out on the 8th of July and then put the second one in on the 15th of July.

Well my period stopped march 2nd and on march 3rd my husband and I had intercourse with no condom just not thinking. But then on the 4th I put a new nuvaring and I took it out on March 25th. But then I didnt get a period on March 29th I had a couple of really light brown spots and then nothing else.

t know why so when I went back to the doctor I told him about it and that was a side effect from the nuvaring. I mean I was bloated so bad that it hurt. I was in constant pain. so I would go with a birth control pill..

It is supposed to stay inside with your vagina muscles, but I find myself always having to push it back in. I have a history of ovarian cysts, that is why i was put on NuvaRing. I have my yearly check up next month, i was just wondering if i should go in now to get checked out, just worried and uncomfortable. I dread having periods adn now I want to switch my birth control. I'm on the NuvaRing and as it is quite a new thing, my doctor doesn't know it, I find that the instruction booklet and the website both give only very basic information about how it works and it doesn't help me at all when something unusual occurs.
