Hello. I am three weeks postpartum, delivered twins vaginally in July! This was my second pregnancy. I have since developed a bacterial infection vaginally. My doc prescribed Metronidazole for that, and two days later I had a horrible fever and chills all night long (which I thought was a side effect of the Metronidazole) and my right breast was horribly red and really sore! I also had a cramp in the right side ovary.
I have a really bad sinus and upper respiratory infection and the medication I was prescribed (augmentin) isn't getting rid of it. I was wondering if anyone knows of any medications I can take that will just make my nose stop running.
ve heard ambiguities about birth control and antibiotics. I just want to make sure the mix of medication will not adversley affect anything. I asked my doctor, but I want a second opinion because he was in a rush and I don't want to damage anything (I'd like to have children in the future). Thank you so much!
We did allergy testing on her, and she is allergic (not extreme) to milk amongst other foods. Time has passed, and I have been giving her some milk and other foods she was allergic to. She has been doing fine eating those foods. She still does not like milk. She will eat yogurt and cheese, but not all the time. I have been giving her some calcium medicine for kids that the doctor told me to give her.
What else can I do about the calcium? Calcium helps strengthen the bones and teeth.

I should not attempt to gauge this. Check with your doctor, who knows your daughter's condition, about the time frame when you should expect her to be well again. Generally, by the time a course of antibiotics is completed, the child will be well. However, as you are likely aware, illness can deplete a youngster and it can take time to regain their baseline state.

I need to have a conversation with my boyfriend about this but I also need to know that I actually had an STD before I accuse him of giving me one. If I did have an STD there is no chance it was from anyone else and he also needs to get treated. I am still going to visit my doctor to get tested for all STD's in case he gave me more than one. : (
I am wondering if it is possible that the augmentin treated the trichomonas or whatever other issue I had.

I searched online for what this was and I found thrush, I found that some patients with hiv experience this. Scared I called my doctor, yet he told me that it is a side effect that is common with the high dose of augmentin I recieved. I finished the augmentin and I have no sore throat just thrush I recently started an anti fungal for it though. So I have some questions.
1.When someone contracts HIV are symptoms spread out like this?
2. Is 6 weeks too late to have symptoms of ARS?

If your concern is that you aren't producing enough milk as long as baby is wetting his/her diapers it's fine! Now if alternating from bottle to breastfeeding milk is something you want to do my opinion is that's that's fine I did that with my daughter and didn't stop producing milk I was able to do both and I loved it!! And still breast fed my daughter for 3 years! I think the sooner the better so they don't get use to just breast!!
Hi everyone, I have 3 cats that are litter mates. 1 little Princess girl, and 2 little stinker boys. I also have 4 other kitties. The 2 brothers came to blows about 4 days back and now 1 has an abscess by his ear on the top of his head. I've been able to clean it with some Chlorhexidine scrub and warm water a couple times since finding the abscess yesterday. This evening while cleaning it I started getting a lot of nasties out of it.
Start with ¾ breast milk and ¼ Pedisure or Milk, go to half and half, then ¼ breast milk and ¾ Pedisure or Milk, and finally to all Pedisure or Milk. You can do each mix every 3-4 days as long as she is accepting the mixture. She will get used to the Pedisure or Milk taste gradually. Suggest trying other dairy sources, such as yogurt and cheese, too once she accepts milk and or Pediasure. Hoped this helped you.
