Can i cut singulair in half

Common Questions and Answers about Can i cut singulair in half

singulair

It really helped me breathe about 15 minutes after I took it same way an inhaler would. It also cut my rhinitis in half. If worried you may also take a child's dose (half) which will help a little but not as well as the full dose. If you are looking for a more gentle drug ask your doctor about Cromolyn Sodium nebulizer or Intal or NasalCrom. It takes a few days before they work. They calm the rhinitis but won't stop it completely. Administered differently they target different areas.
Thank u so much for yalls in put. Anything else yall can think of that could be a reason for his severe delay in speech etc plz post. Again thank u so much.
The phantom smell got progressively worse. I hate being around cigarette smoke. I get away from it as fast as I can, but I cannot get away from this phantom sensation. I kept looking for the source of the smell, kept sniffing my hair, took a shower, changed clothes just to make sure it wasn't something on me. I spent at least a week thinking there was some real source of the smell, until I started asking others and no one else ever smelled anything.
I have tried cutting out alcohol, artificial sweetners, all allergy medication, diet soda, etc....and I can't get a direct link to anything that I'm injesting. I plan on purchasing a air purifier to see if that helps....have you tried that?
So my suggestion is try to rule out some things. I am considering the allergy shots because I can't avoid smelling grass cutting this summer. I just dread going for shots every week. I don't think it's a brain tumor (which I thought I had, as well as thought I had lukemia because of feeling so bad. I just think that for some reason, bacteria, germs, allergies, sinus inflammation, we get this and can't seem to get rid of it.
So I missed church on Easter morning, my baby was sick, and I was running on about an hour of sleep. I just don't know what more I can do. Since January, I've spent over $600 in co-pays, prescriptions and OTC medications, and I've taken a lot of time off work. I'm drained. I don't know what to do anymore. I just want my boys to be healthy and feel better. It's one thing after another, like a broken record; the same crud over and over.
Sometimes it happens if I breathe deep (and my whole chest can be sore then) or if I bend over. I wondered if I had acid reflux but I don't have a sour taste in my mouth when I wake up not breathing and also it only happens the SECOND I'm dozing off and it seems like acid reflux would cause it to occur at any time when you're lying down or sleeping and even throughout the night. ? For some reason, sitting at the computer always makes me feel like I'm going to choke too.
I can't decide if I'm getting headaches lately because of the taper or it's just a seasonal thing. How much aspirin is to much? I'm trying to keep it to no more than twice a day (two 200 ml tablets, per label instruction!). But have taken three times that (don't like doing this, feels like an "Addict reaction"; if it's not working, should just accept it. "More isn't always better." and some things can't be cured. Is anyone out there suffering headaches from seasonal change?
My doctor friend is a family doctor, and he can explain how the drug can work on me and what active ingridients work. I cut and paste this below, so you can understand why and how it works. I wish I could start to take Singulair when it came out ten years ago. It would have made difference in my life. ------So, how do you know if Singulair is right for you? Pretty much, based on my research, Singulair has proven effective for anyone with Allergic Rhinitis (hay fever) and asthma/allergies.
I take singular once a day and it has helped tremendously with my asthma, cut my attacks by nearly a third. I've been doing great on singular, can't sing its praises enough!!! My brother was on symbicort, but it didn't work well for him. We saw no results after two months so we switched his meds and he's been doing absolutely amazing on singular. P.S. After nearly a month of being on advair I had one of the worst attacks of my life. I ended up in the Emergency Room.
The first one is if I cut the pills in half and took .25 bid would that be a thereputic dose?( I am so scared of meds) and secondly I have allergic asthma which I control with Advair and singulair. My doctor said that I could take the klonopin I was just wondering what you know abou that. Whenever I read about benzo's they always mention asthma. Thanks you for all the great info it really helps.
Bronner’s Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap in the shower.. When I’m sick I can barely smell it, but after a saline flush the smell will be strong enough to give me a jolt. Next, bend halfway up, so that you’re looking straight down, and your face is facing the floor of the shower. Close the right nostril with your right finger, gently blow out the left nostril. Open both nostrils, then close the left nostril with the left finger, and blow gently out the open right nostril.
Mine is little different because where ever I am at this smell stays in, my room , at work and in my car.. and the smell changes all the time it depends what I eat. I also get thursty If I dont drink water. I start to get a dry throat and mouth... If i drink anything else that is not water my breath gets worse.. please help!
I do not have wheezing when doctors check my lungs, but I have it when I cough. After attack I got an enroumous amount of mucs (half of trash bas of napkins and more) especially after attack. I cannot function normally - because these attack happen 2 times a week and sometimes less or more. When I was put on prednisone and then everthying is ok for a few days I am on it. However, when I stop taking (because I am prescribed prednisone only for 5 days at a time) asthma comes back.
Maybe when spring comes if I get worse I will. I mean I still have the drippy nose, but I can handle that. So Singulair, NasalCrom nasal spray (not regularly) keep the air cleaner on in my bedroom, wash the sheets every week in hot water, bought an allergy spray at Lowe's and spray my pillows and vacuum them, vacuum the house every day, use the saline NeilMed rinse every day, and so far so good. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's worth it.
So this story caught my eye this weekend and I am just not really sure how to react. The Canadian Medical Journal posted an editorial in which the writer criticized Air Canada's allowance of small pets to travel in the cabin of planes as an "unnecessary allergic hazard" The editorial called for a ban on all pets in the cabin of planes.
but another ent told me it wouldnt do anygood because it is not my sinuses but my allergies, that i need to fix that problem, I take allergy medicine everyday, i was taking claritin now i take some new pill umm xylar, xylm, i dont know but my dr said it was stronger than claritin and zertec. i cant take steroids anymore. they was giving them to me to help my sinuses, but last year i had a allergic reaction to the sterioid, predison. so i cant take anything with steriod in it.

Also, irritants in the home can add to the situation, or cause it. I live in a very dry dusty climate and my son has similar issues. If anyone smokes in your home that can also be problematic. We have an air filtration system as Specialmom recommends, as well as an air humidifier to add moisture to the air (if your climate is similar to ours). I also am very careful to thoroughly clean my son's room every other day....
I hope that you get this. For the past 11 years I have had this problem that no one can seem to figure out. I get these bumps on my body that come and go. Half of my lip will swell up about 3 times the norm size. My knees some times swell. My hands swell sometimes as well. I have been to doc after doc trin to figure it out. No one knows. I do know that I had surgery one month ago, and it sent my body into problems! I probably had 100 bumps one day.
And how the other one started too. Can you tell me what I need to get to treat this, prescription or other wise. Then I can suggest it to my Dr. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
my sister and I worry she will sleep and never wake up. Please help me, I feel I've done everything I can to help her, but she just wants to sleep, I almost want to give up and let her slowly kill herself. What steps do I need to take to get her into treatment and back on her feet and back being a mother that will be able to enjoy her life?
It's painful and for the past month and a half I've looked normal I got used to not being in pain, and I'm afraid of it coming back. I've been to 4 different Optometrists/ Ophthalmologists about this chronic problem and I still have yet to get a definitive answer to what is going on with my left eye. Any suggestions are welcome. Please help. OVERVIEW: I've been told this problem is Dry Eye, Allergies, Blepharitis, MGD, and the newest one: Eczema.
Short term steroid use with dose paks can really help. the acceptable cut off for diffusion and Pulmonary function test is 80. That is normal number that is generally acceptable. As an asthmatic I have taken dose paks off and on for yrs. While I hate the side effects while I take them, it does make it easier to breathe and it seems to make my inhalers work better. Sometimes my doctor has advised me to use the inhaler more than 2 puffs at a time ask your doc about this.
I have been having episodes where my the back of my throat starts to swell, i have trouble swallowing, I feel like I can't breath, and the glands under my chin are huge! I've been on everything, from the Z-pac to leviquin, and also Ketek, which is new and by the way was the only antibiotic that did anything, so if you can stomach it I'd say give it a shot. But taking my tonsils out has not made this "feeling of choking" go away!
I've seen some webpages saying you have to have 4 infections in a year before an ENT will see you, I hope that's not true. I can definitely empathize with how you feel. I've been so upset by this, really depressed and frustrated and bored from not feeling like I can physically do the things I could do just 6 months ago. Hang in there, though, we'll get this figured out. Thanks for your post.
I can't wait to get my turbinates cut and my septum adjusted. I am convinced these obstructions play a ,major role and I will let you know in March. I don't sell it neilmed.com I am an engineer up North who will solve his own problems once he realized our medicare system that is well rather dysfunctional. Hope this helps some of you.
not sure what to eat, what not to eat, is my blood pressure okay, should I avoid sugars, wondering why heart rate is a bit higher than norm, why my belly has felt crampy for a week now with no releif, if the prenantal vitamin I am taking is good for me, can I take a pain releiver, can I take an anti acid, or what about my asthma meds? OMG! The list goes on. I have just been trying to find all my answers in books and the internet. I guess in a way I feel alone.
( I can feel the 'itchies' coming on and I take one Benedryl ... since I am MORE aware now of the 'triggers'...I can stay away from the triigers and keep Benedryl on hand...A friend of mine said her mother gets what you have...she has to wash everything she owns about 8 times when new before wearing any item!! and she washed it in "ALL Dye and Perfume Free" Detergent...and uses dye and perfume free fabric softener sheets...
I can`t really give you any advice, but I just will send my prayers out to you. I am a 16 yr old female and I`ve had severe hives for a little over 6 months now. They don`t know what the cause of mine are. I`ve recently developed a new condition. This whole process sucks. Doctors seem to be clueless as to how to treat hives. I too started off on a steroid pack, zyrtec, and claritin.
