fatigue, freezing, headache, cold hands and feets, blue nails. It felt as I was in another world, I couldn't focus. In daytime my pulse was 30 bpm. then I didn't know that its a kind of low heartrate. It really sounds like atenolol has the same effects as selo-zok... You can find a lot of tips to reduce PVC's: - stay away from caffiene, sugar and other stimulants like nicotin. - some say that magnesium will help, but ask you doctor about this: in some cases it can make things worse.
I am always interested in your comments. I have been on 1mg of Klonopin 1 time a day for 2 years. About a month ago I cut back to .5mg 1 time a day. I would like to get off. Is this going to be difficult?....Any suggestions. Now that I am on Prozac, I may not need them anymore.
I am settled with the RCA and have this artifact in my left main to somehow get rid of, but I doubt that I will have further coronary artery blockages in the future. So can you develop a good collateral system. Yes you can, but you have to be extremely careful. It's risky and not easy. On the other hand, you could have bypass surgery now and have a whole new set of blockages in a couple of years, if the progression of the disease continues.
Norvasc 5 mg, Uroxatral 10 mg, Lisindpril 20 mg, Metoprolol 50 mg, but has cut it in half and only takes 25 mg and potassium 20 mg. Some of his problems are a racing heartbeat, trouble breathing, palputations, high blood pressure. I know these meds are suppose to help these problems but it seems like they are not doing the job.
I have also other symptoms like when i wake up in the morning, i can taste something sour in my mouth. I think its the stomach acid. I really need help but no docs seem to be able to help me. I have seen more than 3 doctors in the past two weeks.
I managed to get to the checkout (small town and everyone knows everyone so they let me cut in line because they could see I was not feeling well). I managed to get back home and after some maneuvering, I managed to get in the house as well. During all this I thought it was just my gallbladder, even though deep down I knew it was something worse. I laid down though was unable to sleep due to the recurrent pain. Finally, 8 hours later, I had my husband bring me to the hospital...
Remember to always make sure that your patches are not torn, punctured or leaking in any way before you put them on. Never EVER cut them in half to lessen the dosage because instead of lessening the dosage, cutting them will cause all the medication to be released at once which will overdose you. As long as you take those basic precautions, you should be fine. Oh, and remember that it will take approximately 15 to 24 hours before you're actually feeling the effects of the patch.
HI TO FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS ME, I WANT TO CRY CAUSE I WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO GO THROUGHWAHT I AM I HAVE HAD THIS FOR FIVE YEARS, THE TINGLING FOR OVER A YEAR, IT IS SO INTENSE, I HAVE IT 24/7 I CAN STAND IT IN MY LEGS AND ARMS BUT IN MY FACE, WELL I COULD SCREAM, ITS NUMB, ITS LIKE PINCHING YOUR SKIN AFTER NOVACAIN(CAN'T SPELL THAT) HAS WORN OFF A BIT. I HAVE VOCAL CORD DYSFUNCTION CAUSED BY FOOD SITTING ON THE TRACHEA PIPE, ON;Y OLD PEOPLE GET THAT I'M TOLD, I'M 35.
I have no numbers for that test. My new cardiologist said I was not a clear-cut surgery case yet, but probably in the next few years, and said my larger LV could be attributed to height. He started me on a half-dose of Norvasc (2.5 mg) to help the heart pump easier and to minimize the backwash, to try to postpone surgery further. He said my options for surgery might be repair, Ross, homograph. I would prefer not to have a mechanical so as to not rule out future pregnancies.
Under the new government guidelines THC testing levels will be reduced to 50 nanograms. Many more THC false positives can be expected in 1994. Dristan Nasal Spray, Neosynephren, Vicks Nasal Spray, Sudafed, etc. and others containing ephedrine or pnenypropanolamine. Over the counter appetite suppressants which contain propanolamine. Most common nasal decongestants can cause a positive reading for Amphetamines.
They started me on 50 and it really pulled me down physically. I cut back to 25 and cut that pill in half, taking half in the morning and half in the evening. I am not a fan of Atenolol, especially for physically active people. It might be a good drug for a few month's after having a heart attack, because it lessens the load on the heart. I think that the drug is prescribed many times because its patent has expired and it's cheap.
I worry about taking the Norvasc also since I have read it can cause increased heart rate. If I have sinus tachycardia and my doctor has decreased my beta blocker..should I be concerned with the Norvasc causing a dangerous arrhythmia? My heart rate now ranges from about 50bpm up to 90 resting. In addition, I have huge pauses in my heart beat when I breath fully in and start to breath out and vice versa. It makes me feel dizzy when it happens and wakes me up at night.
the artery after a angioplasty. Stents have cut down the rate of restenosis (recurrent blockage) by about half but there is still a significant rate of return. Newer drugs are being used to help decrease this rate even further. A rotoblader technique uses a small "drill bit" to remove the blockage in the artery and is favored by some cardiologists. In-stent radiation is an experimental technique that shows promise in reducing even further the rate of restenosis.
Left mammory is totally useless. Right bypass also useless. Native right coronary is 50% blocked. I have been told that I had premature bypass to begin with which left me with constant procedures because I had good blood flow before bypass. Are there any other options available there, that are not here in Florida. They do not do radiation here. What are the side effects and success rate. I am a female 54 years of age, this started at age 51. Thank you for your help.
Originally i was not hypertensive, i've realised that most of my probs are caused by heavy alcohol and cigs consumption, my heart doesnt seem to be able to take the pressure of beating very fast which i believe is caused by acetlydehyde an alcohol metabolite, and narrowed arteries, due to heavy smoking, also i am very sensitive to salt, infact reducing salt in my diet has more effect on my bp than all the drugs i am taking combined, when i cut down salt in my diet my bp drpped from an average o
I was put a diff.kind just last week. I now take NOrvasc and atenelol for the pvc i have hadfor years I am hoping that this regiment will be the one that helps. I am a bit frightened about reading of eventual heart failure symtoms, as my doc has said this is very rare.
I have had a lot of surgery over the past two years so who knows what is going on. I do notice I can feel my heart beating in my chest in the morning when I first wake up but my pulse rate is normal and BP has been good. It seems to be less noticable each day so I am thinking it was the medication change.
Thanks so much! I didn't know it worked that way. Have a great day.
They then began to swell also and the tip became so sensitive that just picking up a pencil was painful. Half the time I just fumbled around and dropped everything I touched. How could this happen ? Were the vessels in my fingers perm. damaged by the freezing . Will this eventually go away ? and the vessels repair themself. How can I sit around the reset of my life wearing gloves. It's not only embarrassing but limits the quality of my life.
My family doctor felt I had a cardiac problem as opposed to panic attacks so he packed me off to a cardiologist. I was given nitro and it always worked when I got the chest pain. What I can gather is that if you've had a normal EKG, stress test, echo, holter, and cath...then you probably don't have a cardiac problem.
To sum it all up the medacine makes me feel yucky but it has helped sum w/ my tach. Problem. I also have a sinus arrythmia too which may be playing a factor in it aswell I don't know.
I take half of a Toprol tablet in the morning and Tamborcor twice a day. I do feel very tired late in the day and have a bit of dizziness when I turn my head to either side quickly. Can you tell me about other side effects of these drugs? Is constipation one of them? Also, if I am symptom-free for an extended period of time, what is the likelihood that my heart specialist will reduce the dosage or eliminate one of these drugs?
I go slow and after about 8 minutes I get burning pain in my middle chest. I hang in there for a full 15 minutes. Then I start my weight lifting routine. I work out very hard and heavy for about 1.5 hours. I use very heavy weights. I start with 300 lbs for bench press and do 5 reps, then drop 20 lbs and do 280 for 5 reps. I drop another 20lbs and do another 5 reps. This goes on for about ten sets of bench. I take very little rest between sets and I have no chest pain during this.
in Ontario due to the plan, which the government says will cut the cost of generic drugs sold in the province in half. President and CEO Jurgen Schreiber said his company has already reworked its business model to cut store hours and new store openings in moves that will also result in job losses. He said the funding Shoppers received from the allowances permitted the company to offer a number of customer services at its 600 Ontario outlets, including free delivery and late-night hours.
I also have to take Lasix 40mg(water pill) because my Cardiologist told me that the Minoxidil/Lonitin can cause fluid build up, and then I have to take a potassium pill because the water pill can cause potassium depletion. I have no side effects whatsoever. The Minoxidil caused all my hair to grow back (I had small spots of alopecia due to stress) which is a good side effect (all the hair grew back) and my eye brows turned black that is all.
I also quick wanted to give my vitamin routine and it has taken me so long to get to this and I swear it helps a LOT. Mine have pretty much been cut in half with this regimine. I take TOPROL, only 25 ml as a means to just relax the heart, lower my bp and heart rate - I cut the 50ml in half so I just take the min dose - this alone has helped incredibly - and there really is no side effects on the low dose - I absolutely feel the same except for the PVCS are better.
50mg a day ( cut in half twice a day.) Also I take avapro 150mg daily. Also I take synthroid .112mg. Atenolol does nothing for me but slow my heart down. I have been plagued with heart skips for 20 years. Been through every test possible, and tried everything possible. Nothing works. I know I can't continue this way. It is leaving me paralyzed with fear. Any suggestions? Do you think I could wean myself off of the atenolol? I have been taking it for many years.
My DMD copay is $100 a month but will double in July. This would not be a problem but our income has been cut in half in the last ten years with no increase in sight. With out assistance it would be a luxury I may not be able to afford.
I have a BB that lowers my heart rate too much (I run marathons and train a lot), so the doctor told me to cut them in half. I also have Adavan that I cut in half (equals 1/2 mg). That is the best. It calms me down and enables me to handle them as they happen every few beats basically. I am very fit and do not want to reduce my activity. I have lowered my stress and even go to meditation class now. Short naps are good too as well as deep breathing.
It isn't simple with MS though because symptoms can be mixed and you can have symptoms without actual BP and HR changes. In my case, I can have an exaggerated response to stress and my BP will spike. Exercise can make it go up but it can also make it drop like a rock. If they treat me for hypertension I end up in the cellar. High feels better than low and all the cardiac tests were good so I choose to take my risk on the high side (as if I have much choice anyway).
