Common Questions and Answers about Can i break solodyn in half

solodyn

Avatar n tn no results Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim? It seems that antibiotics are the ONLY thing that cure my acne since I have really oily skin. The topicals dry it out in the beginning, and I only apply a little, but then my sebaceous glands quickly make up for the lack of oil.
Avatar n tn Went back to him and he prescribed me epiduo with solodyn. After a few weeks i had tiny red spots on my face and huge pimples. I tried proactive as well and that didnt work. After that i told him the situation over the phone and he said to continue the solodyn with epiduo. i did for another month and nothing happened. He now switced me to cephalaxin and i have been on it for about three days. my whole face now has tiny pimples starting to emerge in areas i never have had them before.
Avatar n tn s any research supporting a link between solodyn and eye floaters. I was on Solodyn for about 2 months and my vision deteriorated over the same period of time. I have pretty severe floaters that distract me in reading and computer use. Previously a little farsighted but not requiring glasses. Optometrist says the back of my eye looks like "a spiderweb." No retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, etc.
Avatar m tn I just found out that I am 6-7 weeks pregnant and I took Solodyn 115mg for the first month of my pregnancy! I am really scared that this might have harmed my baby. All the websites say to avoid becoming pregnant while taking Solodyn because it has been shown to cause harm to the human fetus. Has anyone been in this situation?
Avatar m tn I have got tested for herpes in oct 2008 and feb. 2009 and I was negative for both hsv 1 and hsv 2. I saw a dermatologist and he said that it was folliculitis and prescribed me solodyn (minocyciline). The sores on my lips usually last a week, but I usually pop them and they are sore, but no blood or pus comes out. They heal and have dissapeared, but for a little redness that you can't really see unless you look closely in the mirror. Is there still a chance that this is herpes?
Avatar m tn For the last two years, I have been having a recurring pimple appear on my groin. It usually is red/white and can be irritating and slightly itchy not painful. I have probably been to the Doctor's office twice and to two different Planned Parenthood's twice in the last two years and have been told it was genital herpes at first, but then have no antibodies in my blood test for hsv 1 or 2.
Avatar f tn Just want to know two years to the month of my last sexual partner I got sick where I had bad joint pain in my knees and wrists it was difficult to move. If someone had hiv would it take two years or could it have been a reaction to the medication solodyn which does have a side effect of joint pain. I have been tested several times since that encounter and my hiv test even up to febuary when I got sick was negative and the three previous tests before that were negative.
Avatar m tn I take 40mg Lipitor. I was getting it thru a source that gave me 80mg to split. This was a BIG pill, and when split often felt pretty rough going down. I can imagine that some (wimps) would feel threatened by this. (Or, indeed MIGHT actually get in trouble with it.) I now get 40mg tab, and they are easier to swallow. But I vote for: $They get more for 90 40mg than for 45 80mg$.
1094941 tn?1264559085 Hi. I went to the dermatologist and he said it was Perioral Dermatitis. I mentioned to him I also had a rash on my hand and some itching on my legs but he didin't say anything about that. He prescribed Solodyn and the Duac gel. I took the Solodyn for a week and had extreme itching so I called the office and was told to stop that med. The duac gel seems to be working well. Now, my problem is that I still have extreme itching on my neck and legs. My neck is awful!
Avatar f tn I agree, break it in half for a few days. You'll be fine.
1726450 tn?1316282511 I break tablets in half all the time to swallow them, not riba because they're small. If it were an aspirin, would you be asking the same question? Relax.
Avatar n tn No sores. But, my left testicle seems sore and my urethra sometimes feels like I have soap in it - seems worse when I am sitting down. Does not burn to pee or ejaculate. Feel like I am stopping to check my penis every ten minutes and it is driving me crazy! HELP!
Avatar n tn I began to overheat and my face and head were very hot to the touch. I was in so much pain I thought I was about to vomit. Luckily, I was a block away from my office when this occured and I quickly parked and leaned over in my seat to try to assess my apin enough to get out of the car. I managed to maske my way inside and quickly took some Aleve at my desk but was still in agony for about one hour. Then *poof* gone.
Avatar f tn I am prescribed 10mg methadone 3 times per day. I have decided to scale back a little with my doctors okay because it seemed a little too much for me. I just started methadone last week. Today at 9am I took 5mg and at 3:30pm I took 5mg. But it didn't last and I had bad pain so I took the other 5mg at 7:30pm. Now I am scheduled to take 10mg at 11:30pm. Can I take this only 4 and a half hours after taking 5mg or should I just take 5mg and go back to my regular schedule tommorrow?

Avatar n tn Hey yall, I'm nineteen years old. I have been on BCP for about six months or so. For some reason, a week or two before my last period, I started freaking out that I might be pregnant. My period usually arrives on Day 4 of the placebo pills, but arrived a day early, stopped, and then started a few hours later. It remained for the normal amount of time. I was on medication, however, and I keep seeing differing statements about its effect on birth control.
Avatar m tn I recently came off a 3-month long session of Solodyn for a skin condition I was diagnosed with over the summer. Prior to that, I had been on antibiotics for a severe colds, twice and have gotten yeast infections twice due to those antibiotics, so it was inevitable that I was going to get another yeast infection after I finished the Solodyn.

Avatar m tn t afford my usual ob/gyn) when i was having issues with my last b/c i went there (i had the mirena and sadly i was in the 5% it affects BADLY) to get it changed. it didn't cost me anything and i got on new b/c. they are all really nice, respectful and understanding.
Avatar f tn If the pills have a break line in the middle, they can be cut in half. Remember that if you take only half the prescribed dose, the effect on your bp will also be lessened. In my opinion, 69 is not such a low heart rate that it requires medication change. Anyway, it is best to contact the doctor that prescribed the medication to discuss your plans.
