The opana does the same thing as the fentanyl - - keep those as far apart as you can. Dont mix the lunesta and the diazepam in too close a dose. They will also mirror each others affects. Sounds like Doc Jeff could help a little more if he knew how many of what and at what times he takes them. You have a couple that are used for pain and a couple along the nerve pill line. Its either being dosed improperly or the doses are accumulating and causing a problem for him.

I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.

5mg (half pill), 3mg (full pill), or 4.5mg - one and half pills). I usually do 175mg trazadone plus half pill lunesta for sleep almost every night. i've been on the sleep meds for about 2-3 months. Sometimes, i take just lunesta since I have retrograde ejaculation due to trazadone. I take these medications for sleep insommnia. They work. I also take propecia for hair loss (not sure that it's related). I also take cialis/viagra as needed for ED that started about 5-6 years ago.

i am on lunesta, i take a break every now and then, but the doc said it was ok.

I want to taper off xanax. Would it be safe to take half a 1 mg. xanax with 2 mg Lunesta or would I then become dependent on the Lunesta also?

I fell asleep fairly quickly, still woke up about 5 hours later, but was able to just rest in bed for a couple hours. Any thoughts, suggestions? I have a prescription for Xanax that I keep on hand for those times I need a little help to get to sleep and stay there. I can pretty much tell when I might have a restless night so I break a .5 mg in half and it is just enough to help me stay asleep. I think a couplke weeks trial wouldn't hurt if you are feeling the symptoms of sleep deprivation. As your body continues to get used to the steady amount of thyroid hormone from the Levo, you will probbaly settle into a sleep routine.

I just don't know if I can hang in here. I started a second job and I can't keep focus at work when I only sleep 4hrs a night. I know I should be focused on my health but I'm a single mom and I also have my desable mother I need to care for. I'm just so tired all the time and feel like I might cave in any minute now if I don't get some good rest...

so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?

Isnt there only 1 strength of ambien? I have been taking 10mg and I usually split it in half. I have went off of it for a few months but do not sleep. They are investigating pituitary, adrenal,thyroid problems for the reason I cant sleep. I dont even get tired ever have you ever heard of this?

Do you think that is too much? Can i cut the pills in half. I am a tiny person and my doc knows that. I dont know why she would give me the highest dose? I have a phobia of taking pills.

Awake. But I slept for 6 plus hours. I use to take NyQuil. Seem to work for me.

I have no clue. I am very funny about taking meds. I just do not like to. Doc gave me Lunesta but I don't take it. I sleep like ****, when I can sleep. I messed up my brain chemistry from all of the extra curriculars I did in the 70's and 80's and have to live with terrible insomnia all of the time. I'd love to hear a real cure.

I haven't sleeped more than 2 and a half hours a night in 16wks nothinghas helped my Dr.

I think the biggest side effect that you might have will be insomnia. I used to take Lunesta and when I stopped I didn't sleep for a week. On a positive note,,,COngrats on 20days!!!

the 12.5mg tabs are an extended release....i didn't know you could break those... have you tried melatonin? you can't really use it with the ambien and for it to be effective, you usually need to make sure you 'prepare' yourself for bed. lights off....relax....let yourself wind down....all that junk. ambien and benzo's usually don't do a lot of good other than to simply introduce another addicting substance.

s mostly perks though its my 9 day but i have been taking like half a perk for my pain cause its so bad that i go days without sleeping and then evan though now i have no pain i have a hard time to sleep like last night i sleepet for 5 hrs and before that i went 3 days without sleeping its driving me crazy i dont know what els to do my doctors are saying nothing to me i had to beg them for sleeping pills and they are so strong to and i still stay upp pls can someone tell me something or give me

I take Ambein also. I have found that when I wake up in the middle of the night, I will immediately take half of one. This will usually put me back to sleep.

talk to ur doctor and see what he can do for u...lunesta never worked for me and i take ambien when i need something/both r drugs of abuse tho for some people so it depends onwhat u can handle without abusing...something that makes me sleepy has never been sumpin i would abuse as i like the "kick start" or energy part of pills...never took a fancy to benzos either....talk to ur doctor and good luck..

I take 40mg Lipitor. I was getting it thru a source that gave me 80mg to split. This was a BIG pill, and when split often felt pretty rough going down. I can imagine that some (wimps) would feel threatened by this. (Or, indeed MIGHT actually get in trouble with it.) I now get 40mg tab, and they are easier to swallow. But I vote for: $They get more for 90 40mg than for 45 80mg$.

Hi All, Just got back from seeing my pain doc and am starting my official tapering schedule today. I will take 7 norcos a day for either 1 or 2 weeks - she left it up to me - I am going to try to make it just one week. Then 6 for 2 weeks, etc. I did not get a refill on my morphines - I would used them to "tide me over" when I ran out of my norco early. I did get a new script for Lunesta - never had it before, I've always used Ambien.

You might try taking a combination of Valerian and Melatonin when you stop the Lunesta. I was taking Lunesta in my early withdrawals and it did make me sleep, but that nasty taste was to much for me. I must say I haven't really slept really well since, but the herbs I mention do help somewhat, I take a hot bath before bed then I take them. From what I've heard Lunesta withdrawals are mainly mental, but you can get addicted to just about anything.
