diet

Avatar m tn You don't need medicins. What you probably need is a high dose of vitamin D. Your complaints are signs of a vitamin D deficiency. I had the same symptoms as you for 2 years, until I began started to take 20000 iu of vitamin D3 per day with 2 magnesium pills per day morning and night to improve sleep issues, and all the other symptoms. It will take 8 months to feel completely better. Don't listen to a doctor, they don't even know Vitamin D deficiency can cause this.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if you are seeing a Medical Doctor or Therapist for your depression and anxiety. A healthy diet certainly can make your body run smoother but if you do suffer from the dual diagnosis of depression/anxiety first you must get together a treatment plan that in many cases will include a well balanced diet. You do ask about staying motivated and I have found that depression drowns motivation in most cases.
Avatar m tn Exercising at least 30 minutes a day will help to jumpstart the endorphins in your body and it can help to promote sleep as well. As far as diet, if you are able to stay away from fatty, sugary, and processed foods, it can really help.(I know that's al the good stuff!) Try to stick with lean proteins such as fish, poultry, beans, and legumes. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. It really just takes time to heal.
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar n tn I have bouts of anxiety and depression. I heard that gluten can be a link to causing these, as well as excess sugar in the diet. Is this true? I eat a lot of sugars, breads, and pastas and am considering a change in diet to help.
1427033 tn?1297507496 The symptoms can be found on a variety of websites - they are so vague that almost anyone can have them so it makes it very hard to diagnose and hence it is very overlooked until someone lands in the ER. And even then it takes someone bright to pick it up. Your symptoms could also be one of many auto-immune disorders and it is difficult to pin down auto-immune disorders. Have you have cortisol and ACTH testing, craving for salt, tanning and low sodium? What testing has been done?

730826 tn?1317943334 I have battled with depression for many years. I had a hang up about taking the drugs for a long time, but after my recent bad depression I realized that I had to make major life changes. Accepting and taking drugs was one of them. I believe they were helpful in my recovery. I also worked VERY hard to recover, including counseling, exercise, meditation, proper diet, and re-connecting with family and friends to let them know what was going on and that I wanted their involvement / help.
Avatar m tn Sure anti depressants can help with depression. But better yet, so can taking an amino acid supplement and correcting your diet so your serotonin levels are were they are supposed to be in the first place. Isn't it the American way however, to run to the doc for a magic pill to solve all your troubles??
Avatar f tn Therefore, I wanted to see if there is anything I can add to his diet to help with his depression and manic stages? I am the one that cooks and comes up with our meals so I believe I can easily add something if needed...

Avatar f tn The diet you should follow for gastroparesis is low-fiber and low-fat. I have never heard of the soft-food diet for gastroparesis. You should also eat multiple small meals a day as opposed to a couple of large meals.
Avatar f tn I noticed on the website that this diet can help with depression and suicidal thoughts. It also helps with violent behavior and insomnia. I've been adding a lot of the food into my everyday life and can personally tell you I feel pretty good. The diet eliminates foods with chemicals and dyes and even apples. Goodbye M&Ms and Skittles. To get the shopping guide and brochures is a bit expensive. Type in Feingold diet to find their website. Would you try the diet?
Avatar m tn You are going to feel like **** the next couple of weeks. But just set yourself free if you can't get any scripts anymore. I have been sober now for 27 days and it was hell, but I'm better now. I go back to work tomorrow. I am nervous about it but I have to have some sense of normal. You might want to go to the store. Get, something for diarrhea, something for muscle pain, something to help you sleep. All OTC stuff. If that's all you can do that's all you can do.

Avatar n tn And, medication (if you decide you want to do so) can really help cause it helps get rid of the symptoms of anxiety/depression while therapy can get to the root of the problem and solve it. You are not alone...please realize that. And you CAN and WILL get through this! This is not you, it is the anxiety speaking. At times there seems to be no hope, but i promise you...you will get better. I had lost all hope of getting rid of my anxiety...ive had it since i was about 2 years old.

Avatar f tn t probably going to help with depression other than maybe the rhodiola. The other stuff might be useful, but for other things, and again, apple cider vinegar has to be the right form (organically grown with the mother) to do anything and some people do not do well with the acid.
Avatar n tn Depression. To deal with your depression, you need to find the reason for it. Treating depression with antidepressants help when that is needed, but for you ... you can of course ask for a counselor, just to get a support through difficult times and all, but when the primary cause - the main reason for your symptoms in the first place is found, you have nailed your depression too.
Avatar m tn The amount you are on you can stop.. Exercise will help with all the symptoms.. If you have a problem with depression see a Dr. the money you save on ordering them over the internet would go a long way in getting to the need for them.. I would also suggest you seek the outside support of a group like NA or AAto help with staying off them.. You are on a very slippery slope.... wish you well on your journey..
