Can blood type o be vegetarians

Common Questions and Answers about Can blood type o be vegetarians

blood

Avatar n tn If you don't have anemia, you don't have an iron problem. Vegetarians should have no problem getting sufficient iron, as it's present and best absorbed from a variety of plants. Examples are nettles, raw spinach, raw dandelion greens, beets, parsley, watercress -- you get the picture here, green leafy vegetables and others as well. Now, just being a vegetarian doesn't mean you're eating well.
1204700 tn?1271948852 I'm also 0-, it ***** as you can only get 0- blood, yet you can donate your blood to anyone. As for the pregnancy thing, if you have any spotting before you get your Rogam shot you need to see the dr with in 72 hours and get a shot (I learned this with my miscarriage last pregnancy). They give you a shot at the 23 weeks to help so there are no issues with birth, then when you deliver if your baby has positive blood you need another shot with in 72 hours of labor.
Avatar f tn ) ut im conserned on the fact that i have O- blood type and My OBGYN did say that on the 2nd time expecting it was more risking... Does any one know more info about this? I realldy didnt get much just the part that my body attacks the baby... So HELP!
Avatar f tn Reason why, the only reason why having o- blood type is a problem is if your baby has a different blood type then you and for some reason your blood is mixed during pregnancy then your body will not recognize it and try to fight it off like an infection. It will create antibodies but those antibodies only happen in second, third, or any other pregnancy in the future.Your body won't make them during your first.
Avatar f tn They only give you O type blood if they have to because its a neutral blood type and your body wont reject it.
Avatar f tn I'm O- and hubby is A+, so I'm in the same boat. I'd recommend having your partner's blood type tested. Your dr can order it so insurance will pay for it, and if he has a negative blood type, it'll be cheaper than gettig the shot.
Avatar f tn You will receive the shot at around 28 weeks as well as at least one after delivery, depending on baby's blood type. It can occur during labor or any abdominal trauma where baby's blood can come into contact with mom's. When This happens, if baby has a "positive" blood type, mom will form antibodies against that blood type (without the shot). If this is the case, generally it will not cause issues with the current pregnancy, but with future pregnancies.
1225198 tn?1336788230 MysticalChick is right. You are definetly ok, for SURE. It's the Rh +/- that makes the difference. My mom is O- and dad is AB+. ANYONE can take O- blood, but - can't take + blood. This makes O- blood like gold, and O+ is pretty important too. You should dontate blood more often! But even in the situation of one partner with + and the other with -, it won't PREVENT pregnancy, it would only make keeping the pregnancy difficult, if not impossible.
Avatar f tn My blood was tested at 10 weeks to see if the babies blood group could be determined it came back that my baby is resus neg also so this preg will be so much less stressful for me don't have to worry about little knocks or tiny bleeds like I had with other 3 preg im so glad the test has come about since my last baby 4yrs ago.
Avatar f tn I had it before and will need it again with this little one. I'm not gonna lie the shot hurt a lot lol. Other than that your baby will be fine.
Avatar n tn No it's not. Blood has three main types-A,B, and O. These are typed by the sugars and antibodies on the blood themselves. Type O has none, so A or B would be dominant over it. (If a person get's a O allele from one parent and a B from another they would show type B blood; same is true with A). A and B are called "co-dominant" because they show both, one doesn't overpower the other.
7458937 tn?1391882099 I Was Told I Get A Shot After Delivery And If The Baby Has A Positive Blood Type, She Will Get A Shot. If Babys Blood Type Is Negative, They Dont Need The Shot.
5889951 tn?1380316047 s blood type will not necessarily be negative, but it will be type o. My best friend was o neg and so was her husband, but her daughter came out o positive.
Avatar f tn I am O Negative I have a rare blood type how do I know what blood type my child will be ?
538330 tn?1232023960 One of your parents does not have to be O-negative. It can also be that one of your parents is O-positive and the other is negative. For example, if your mother is O-positive and your father is A-negative, than you can be O-positive, O-negative, A-positive or A-negative. So you can get the type ( O, A, B, or AB) from one parent and the Rh factor (positive or negative) from the other parent. It is also possible to have the exact same blood type as one of your parents.
Avatar f tn I don't think being a negative blood type can cause a mc as I too am o- and had a mc early on. You normal get the anti d injection at about 28 weeks but discuss your fears with your doctor. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Okay so my blood type is o-negative , I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow and everybody has been telling me that I'm suppose to get a shot twice so that my blood doesn't fight off the babies blood if he has a different type. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Should I call my Dr and ask?
Avatar f tn My blood type is O- and I've heard that this may cause problems for my baby. Are any of you mommies O- as well? What did you have to do in order to keep you and baby safe? And was everything okay? Is your baby healthy now? I just want to know what I need to expect. I am almost 13 weeks pregnant. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Im o- and my finacee is a/b+ our son is o/b- lol so yes it can happen and its a shot they give you at 7 months so your body doesnt reject this baby. If the baby comes out with a positive blood type they give you another after birth so your body doesnt reject any future children.
Avatar f tn Got Ava's blood type today. Her's is A+, mine is O+, does this mean that her father is A???? We do not know his blood type. I tried to study it but it's all soooo confusing to me. Anyone know the answer to this??
Avatar f tn i have a neg blood type to...an if its the same shot my mom told me about its used bcuz ur body will fight off the baby like it would a cold No worries tho....
Avatar f tn hi all mummies to be, I'm concerned for my blood type and others with the same. This is my second pregnancy but unfortunately my first ended in miscarriage and my gp stated something to do with my blood type fighting against the baby's blood cells because my partners blood is positive. I'm scared it's going to end the same way does anyone else know anything about o neg blood in pregnancy a bit concerned !!
1422615 tn?1334064234 Type A carries anti-B antibodies, and Type B carries anti-A antibodies. Only Type AB carries no anti-blood type antibodies, which is why Type AB individuals can receive blood transfusions from anybody." I at first thought that this only applied to o- but several say both o-+ so which is it. My dh is o- , I AM O+. i ASSUMED that we would be fine but now i have had two m/c. firstone my water broke after i broke out in a bad rash 2 days before.
3198629 tn?1367038423 Im O+ as well 19w2x and I still get morning sickness that can last all day. Dad is clueless about his blood type but everything is normal no abnormal test and found out today hes a perfectly health boy!!!! :-) bye pink hello blue lol.
Avatar n tn I have negative blood type and had several pregnancies that I was fine with- one miscarriage and then one other pregnancy after that- he's four months old now. When you have RH negative you will need to get a shot for each pregnancy and after a baby is born, they test their blood type, if they are positive, they give you another shot.
Avatar f tn No. Baby would only be able to have a or b positive. If he donates blood he can find out blood type, cholesterol, etc.
